The room was great and location was perfect, the room was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to Angel, shops and restaurants.

They payment method was very strange- via bank transfer. In all my years of travel I have never been asked to pay for a hotel this way. It doesn't seem very secure. I went to transfer and the payment details did not match, and when I informed the host they said to issue the payment anyways. I requested a payment receipt to be sent via email several times and this was never sent.

Ricardo was really helpful when I was trying to sort my payment, very patient and clear, and in general very communicative and friendly. Thank you! Clear instructions for entry. Location is great for easy access to central London, and the room itself was gorgeous - very comfy bed, good WiFi and amenities eg kettle, toiletries, and of course the amazing jacuzzi bath. Super relaxing stay.

The payment situation unnerved me given the recent scams via messages on the app. Rather than take payment through the app, I was sent two different sets of bank details for a transfer, and the details I was told to use when I called did not match the company name in my bank's online check. This did turn out to be the right details but it was a bit of a hassle and I had to have a lot of back and forth to feel happy to go ahead, answer even then I was worried. Fortunately Ricardo was amazing! But I wonder if taking payment through the app might be easier for guests?

The property is in a great location and the room is really nice and modern

The only downside is the payment process you paid via bank transfer and not through booking.com it’s all went fine but I felt a bit nervous as I’ve never had to do this. The host was great and reassuring me but I felt I could only relax once I was check in

Great little place to stay, loved the jacuzzi and the cafe downstairs.

Payment was not through Booking.com which was sketchy and the communications around check in were poor.

The location was ideal, really close to the theatre and to bars. The area itself felt really safe and easy to navigate. Instructions on how to get into the apartment were very clear and the room itself was really nicely presented and very private.

The communication with the person I was booking with wasn't great to begin with as they want to communicate via whatsapp and payment was made via banktransfer rather than through booking.com which I was apprehensive about at first, but eventually communication got better and all was fine!

Location was perfect! Lovely quite street with many things to do close by. The room was beautifully furnished, comfy bed with all the amenities for a romantic stay including netflix.

All things were pretty much flawless apart from some scum on the far side, hard to reach part of the bath tub. The flooring was pretty damaged around the bath due to it not being suitable for getting wet.

Based on the size and images, I expected a much smaller room than it actually was. The images are accurate and we had everything we needed and wanted to have in a short-term rental. Location was ideal - it's in a no drive zone so taxi's dropped us off around the corner and it was very quiet residential neighborhood which was great for sleeping and something high on our list of amenities. The stairs are narrow and we were on the 3rd floor so luggage in and out took some effort. The codes for the front door and room doors worked reliably and we felt the property was very safe However, the standout memory of this location will be the restaurant on the first floor, Ginger & Mint. Our mornings began there with excellent coffees, juices and smoothies, breakfast and the kindest staff. The dining room transformed in the evening with white table cloths, nice happy hour specials, and lovely food. While there were several pubs within walking distance, the closest is The Hanbury, a local establishment that showed Euro Cup games which we enjoyed. For the location and amenities, Angel House was a good value. We would happily stay here again.

The staircase was steep and steps were narrow. We weren't traveling light so this made the move-in and move-out a bit of work especially since we were staying on the3rd floor. Otherwise, everything was great.

Nice room, well furnished, warm and very clean. Quiet location and interestingly, there is plenty of free parking nearby after 1.30pm on Saturday and all day Sunday. Good shower. The Ginger & Mint Bar below was delightful and the breakfast was just superb.

Booking & communication a bit of a faff, as you have to pay separately by bank transfer and communicate via WhatsApp as no staff on site. Likewise the breakfast. Spa bath in the bedroom is a total waste of space & energy.

The room was warm, clean and spacious, very comfy bed, good sized wardrobe, little sofa, chairs and a table to eat at, nice hot shower, tea making facilities. I didn't try the jacuzzi bath but maybe next time. The area is very quiet with a co-op just on round the corner and close to Islington high street and the tube.

The wi-fi was pretty spotty and didn't really connect all the time I was there, which also meant the TV didn't work as it couldn't connect. Although the area is quiet - no traffic noise - the building is old and not very soundproof so I could hear my neighbours quite clearly moving around/talking etc and could hear everyone coming in and out.

I loved the room, it was spacious and clean. It was a new experience for me going to what was essentially a self service hotel with room codes and such but I have to say I loved not HAVING to talk to people when I'm tired after a night out! I loved the vintage style of the lights and lamps and the big sash windows gave me the perfect view of a quiet street with a whole load of foxes!

These things are small criticisms, especially when everything else was perfect!!! Personally the mattress was far too soft and actually ended up being a little uncomfortable and for some reason I could not turn off the shower room light, I tried all of the switches (which were very beautiful and vintage!!) but none worked to turn it off. But other than those two things the stay was 100/10 and I would 100% stay again!!!
