The hotel is a short taxi ride from St Pancras railway station (walkable without wheeled luggage), it's slightly back from a busy road but there was no traffic or other noise during our stay. Staff were friendly and efficient and a warm chocolate cookie is provided at check-in. Our room was for four with two double beds, not large but enough for two adults and two kids. Slightly cold but not uncomfortably so, fast wifi, plenty of hot water and large fluffy towels. We were on the fifth floor but lift availability was never a problem. We had the hotel breakfast one time which was tasty and extensive but of course you pay for the wide selection, the cafes a couple of streets behind the hotel (Sizzles, Chapel cafe) do a good fry-up for less. The nearest tube station is Angel on the Northern line about 5 minutes walk away and in that general direction there are a number of restaurants and supermarkets.

Comfortable rooms, clean, extremely nice stuff, except for 1 person. All other stuff was really there for us for all kinds of requests and questions and made us feel special. Great location for sightseeing, close to major public transport, tasty breakfast, good coffee

Blond lady with eyeglasses that worked afternoons on the reception was very rude as she was busy and yelled at as that she is busy when trying to just leave the key. Breakfast might be richer for some fresh vegetables as there are none

I did not fully appreciate the location when I was trying to book a hotel room. Location was a revelation - close to all the amenities and restaurants in Islington, very accessible by public transport. Close to London Euston where our train terminated, and a short walk from King's Cross and St Pancras. Angel tube station (Northern Line) a five minute walk. and served by numerous bus routes. My son and I even took the night bus back, as we missed the last tube service on the Piccadilly Line. So we took the N97 from Earls Court to Trafalgar Square, got a good experience of the night journey through London without the traffic and then the N74 to Islington. A great experience. Spoilt for choice in terms of the food in the area. The staff at the hotel were attentive and professional. Room was great, clean and spacious. We got a great view from out room, yet it was a quiet room.

IT was a busy time, but hey, the hotel has to have revenue. Maybe the driveway is a bit awkward because of how the traffic flows.

I loved the warm welcome and the professional, polite and very helpful staff. Likewise, I was very impressed with the standard of service generally and the new facilities in the foyer, such as the self service shop with an array of goodies and essentials. In terms of the bedroom, the bed was comfy, the atmosphere cosy and the lighting was nice. Special thanks to Asad, he always ensures that everything runs smoothly and he was very supportive during my stay. I hope Asad is promoted to team manager very soon.🙂

Location was very good, near to the Angel tube and close to shops and places to eat. I liked that we could all stay in the room together. It was clean with great black out curtains. Lovely, thick towels. Bed was very comfortable and the TV size and position was perfect. Having a fridge was very handy as well.

Only minor inconveniences, which were the towel rail didn't seem large enough to hold all the damp towels, a larger one would be better, and one of the pumps was almost empty but we were only there overnight and there didn't seem to be any need to report it. I would stay again, it's a great spot to be in Islington.

Location is excellent. One buss station is across the hotel, two buss stations near by. Tube station Angel is at 5 minutes walk, King Cross St. Pancreas 15-20 min. Neighborhood is lovely - Islington's Upper Street, Regent's Canal.. Room is nice and clean. Bathroom is very nice and clean, free toiletries is excellent. Breakfast is delicious. The choice of food is good, especially for the English breakfast.

Only one chair in room for three people. There is no wall hanger for jackets and coats in the room. We would have liked pancakes and hot chocolate to be available every day.

We were offered an upgrade at extra cost to enable a 1pm check-in, which we accepted. Check-in was swift and Receptionist we saw then was courteous.

We had no milk in our room although there was a supply of tea bags, coffee sachets, cups and kettle. I asked a lady from housekeeping if she could please get us some milk. She said “no sorry we don’t have any, ask at Reception”. I asked at Reception, Receptionist looked incredulous and said “we do not have access to any”. I explained we have everything else, he said “nothing I can do”. My Daughter asked Reception if she could have or buy a bottle of water, but was told no “we don’t have any”. I found the experience with the milk and water very disappointing. In our room fridge was a half used bottle of water presumably left by a previous guest??

The proximity to Angel tube station and buses across the street from hotel are what made me rate this hotel a 9!

Our cleaning service wasn’t done after our first night and when we notified the front desk, we were told perhaps it was because we left a sign on the door ( which we did not) later housekeeping came to our room in the evening time and said they clean rooms in the evenings. Strange policy! Also the price for the room was a bit high as you would expect for something in the heart of central London which it is not . Also there is a cafe inside that you cannot see immediately in the lobby so we paid for breakfast at the restaurant ( nothing to write about) but later only found we could sit and or take away coffee and breakfast at the bar / cafe in the lobby.

It was near to the Angel underground. More directions should be given on how to get there, we got off at Kings Cross & had a long walk to get to the hotel. It was once there we found out we could have gone on the underground to Angel.

The staff were friendly & very helpful. The room was clean, comfortable beds. A fridge in the room was very useful as was a safe. We paid £100 more than our friends who stayed exactly the same time. Booking.Com stated our child place was free, not so.

Location, cleanliness and service was spot on. We were treated very well with any issues noted and responded too quickly.

Toilet paper was a bit naff, the breakfast options, whilst great for me personally, maybe could have catered for others preferring a less meat-based cooked breakfast. e.g. mushrooms, etc. The hotel could probably do with a refit soon, as some of it was getting a bit tired. Our bathroom suffered a mirror failure and the Air Conditioning locked out, suggesting a maintenance issue.
