The location was amazing, close to a underground station. I had both Mcdonalds and Five Guys close to me, also Starbucks. was also close to Lanchester Gate station (by walk) and to Hyde Park. I really enjoyed the location of the hotel. The hotel staff was so kind and nice to me, the rooms had a hole key instead of electronic card which was a bit annoying to carry with me and the room was a bit small but comfortable

there was a lot of dust in the Shower Room Air-Conditioner. I believe that if I were to tell the hotel staff they would have send someone to clean it. the electric connections were so far from the bed it was uncomfortable to charge my phone and to keep it near me.

It was in a great neighbourhood with plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs nearby. There was plenty of space in the family/quad room.

We didn’t have any issues with the property but the family/quad room we were in had a set of steep stairs between the section with the single beds and living space and the section with the double bed. This was good for us as it separated us a bit for sleeping, but it could be a bit dangerous if you had a baby who was crawling or walking but not yet confident on stairs.

Great hotel in a lovely area of London. I had a deluxe double room which was spacious and clean. The room had enormous windows which opened onto a private small deck. I chose this hotel for the location near some of the attractions that I wanted to see in London. Once there I discovered that the neighborhood itself is wonderful. Close to Portobello Road, Kensington Palace, Holland Park, several shopping areas with pubs and coffee shops, and Paddington Station. Several Tube stations within a short walking distance will get you to anywhere in London. The room was decorated in a traditional style with heavy dark velour curtains and damask wallpaper. The four-poster bed was comfortable and cozy. I did not have breakfast at the hotel so I can't speak to that aspect. Overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a comfortable place in a great neighborhood.

Nothing comes to mind here. I was highly happy staying here and only wish I could have spent more time at the hotel to enjoy the outdoor deck.

Room was small but good value.

Furniture and decoration a little tatty in places, but otherwise fine. I was surprised to be asked for photo ID on check in. The staff seemed to be routinely photocopying guests' passports, which I refused to let them do with my ID. Quite bizarre - haven't experienced this behaviour at a London hotel. No explanation was forthcoming as to why they would ask to do this. Let's hope all those photocopies are destroyed properly and that they protect everyone's data. Hard to see who they would even ask for this.

Stayed in quadruple room which was one large room with corner sofa and 2 single beds with stairs leading down to another bedroom with double bed, both rooms had TV and lovely decor. Bathroom was quite big with large walk in shower and double sinks. Everything provided tea, coffee,bottled water, toiletries, hairdryer etc . Air-conditioning was really good and a separate tower fan supplied which was perfect as it was so hot outside. The area is really peaceful but at the same time is minutes from anything you need. Staff are pleasant

Struggling to find something I didn't like but if I am being picky..There was a courtyard at the back of the building with seating which looked lovely but couldn't find how to get to it.

Had a fantastic 1 night stay when visiting Plymouth for a football match. The owner and staff at the hotel are super friendly and very helpful. The location was ok for most things but was a decent walk over to the football ground. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was lovely and good value for money.

I’d struggle to pick something I didn’t like. Maybe the room layout was a little squashed compared to modern hotels but that is dictated by the layout of this fabulous old building

Brilliant location, hotel is easy to find, staff Is friendly. Price very attractive, room was clean and fresh towels. Nothing wrong for this hotel from my point of view!

People comments I’m sorry to say but for London (Kensington area) this is unbeatable. Yes that’s no a Hilton but the price is not a Hilton price too 🙄 Yes, decoration could be better but again, that’s just a reasonable place to stay in a very expensive capitale.

As a group of friends it was nice to have a sitting area in the room for in between times. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Nice quiet street, but only a short distance from restaurants, bars, shops. Staff were helpful. Sourced a bottle opener for us very quickly! Didn’t have the breakfast, but could see it was available. Location was great for a concert at Hyde Park. A few tube stations nearby, so easily accessible. Great place for a short stay.

The staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. My friends however, on check-in, found the receptionist to be abrupt, unsmiling and unwelcoming.

the best location in West London, within walking distance and close to Portobello Road, Westbourne Grove, Hyde Park and Paddington station. Many good restaurants and cafes, charming grand architecture around. Staff was friendly and helpful.

the only issue is squeaky floors, but that endemic to old English buildings and sort of adds to old world charm.

The hotel is good and nice but I think the only hotel in London (maybe in the world) which does not keep the luggage to their customers the check-out day! So if you have the flight late in the evening you have to spend all the day in London carrying your luggage with you!!
