I like the location, the space and also is full of people so you can meet others travelers, the room was clean and spacious

The hostel offers breakfast for 5£, it's ok, but you can not use the kitchen in the morning, till 3:00 pm bc of that, if you're starving and don't wanna pay the breakfast make sure you have some cereal or something else

easy access and so close to lots of eatery and halal food for Muslim traveller. room cleanliness is acceptable since it’s sharing.

room 94 in basement is quite cold and it can be really noisy bcs it’s adjacent to the laundry room and right away below the main entrance yard. you can clearly hear people talking upstairs in the front yard or vehicles passing. the sound of the washer was ongoing till 2-3am and i have made complaints through app chat and no response. the staff who tidying up the room regularly doesn’t really change the blanket, but the pillow cover. sometimes they speak loudly while talking on the phone while cleaning.

Great location, near two underground stations; good breakfast; nice staff; good kitchen and common areas; very clean.

Sometimes the room door would stay unlocked, staff should advise guests to always make sure that it is closed; because the rooms are open by key cards, people often forget their card, passwords would be better; kitchen is used by staff to make breakfast, so it can't be used by guests at that time; rooms have small windows and depend on air conditioning to be ventilated; narrow stairs, not acessible for wellchairs; no duvet cover, only two sheets, which is not the most hygienic; pillow is not the most comfortable. No huge problems that should influence much, this is just a heads up for possible guests and advice for management.

Great people, atmosphere, facilities and location for an affordable price. It was my first time at a hostel so I wasn’t sure what to expect and it was an 8-bed mixed dorm so was unsure if it would be feel like too many people, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Everyone was super lovely and I went exploring the city and pub crawls with some in my room. Each bed has their own in-built USB charging port, power outlet, bed-side lamp (super handy at night as it removes the necessity for guests to turn on the room light when they come in at night and want to stay up), curtains (super handy if the room light does get turned on as well as for privacy), and key holder. There’s also one locker that you can put your suitcase in - just need to bring your own padlock (standard size will work). Our room has air conditioning which was great, but that might not always be the case from what I’d heard from other guests - so very thankful. There is a full length mirror in the rooms and a sink and about 10 hooks (but I didn’t count so don’t quote me on that - there’s at least 6 or 7). The shower heads are adjustable and can be handheld, water pressure is good, and there are female showers rooms and hairdryers. Shower cubicle has three hooks on the inside where you can hang some things which is great but it’s bit cramped so best not to hang anything that can’t get wet. Bathrooms and showers have faucets that you can turn on completely - not the timed ones - which I love. And they are cleaned daily - which I also love. I didn’t use the kitchen this time but I heard that there’s a fully equipped kitchen so it’s great for those who want to cook as well :) It’s less than 2 min walk from Bayswater station so super accessible from anywhere. There’s also 2 grocers within 2 min walk, and a bunch of cafes, restaurants and other shops as well as Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park just down the road.

There are no lifts so get ready to get those steps in. I hear this is pretty standard as the buildings are old. Showers are a little cramped and there’s only one hook on the outside/no bench so won’t have enough space to leave spare clothes. I ended up just wearing the clothes I was going to change into to the shower room or I saw some others bringing a plastic bag to put on the floor to rest their clothes. Laundry is £7.50 for wash & dry (+£1 for laundry liquid) which felt pricey but I think it might be standard for the area so also not a complaint, but just be aware. They do give you extra coins to use if your clothes don’t completely dry so you don’t have to pay additional on top of that, which is great! Maybe pop down to grocer to buy laundry liquid before.

The location is very central, an historic part of London and surrounded by greenery. Closely located to a tube station, as well as a 10minute walk to Paddington, where the Elizabeth line starts to heathrow airport as soon as 4.36 on weekdays (30 minute trip!). Recommended for early airport departures

At least to my experience, each floor has a single toilet and shower, which obviously become quickly dirty with so many guests, and at times create queues of half an hour. Guests are also not the usual hostel people apparently, as both our beds were taken, and during check-in another complaint of "stolen" bed arrived... Be respectful and go on your assigned bed!!

The beds had lots of privacy, and the location was fantastic. Lots of bathrooms!

The air in the room was pretty stuffy.

Excellent location, right by Hyde park, two tube stations and plenty of places to get food. Beds were comfy, though a little short for me as 5ft10, and I loved having a private bathroom in the room too. It felt very clean and I didn’t hear much outside at night. Staff were friendly too. I stayed 8 nights but could have comfortably stayed longer.

The room got very hot at night and some guests were a bit rude (talking loud on the phone very early, snoozing alarms many times etc) but that’s by no fault of the hostel. Overall, not really any complaints for the hostel itself!

I usually book this hostel when I go to carnival and I love it cuz it's walking distance from the parade. I booked a female room like last year, only this year I got lucky that is was one that wasn't facing the street side. It was a lot calmer since there was no noise from outside. If you go during carnival definitely expect noise btw. The whole city is out partying! I was lucky enough to meet some really cool ladies from Paris that were staying in the same room as I was. The bed was comfortable enough. I like the privacy curtains they have. The showers were a bit outdated and you had to let the water run for a bit before hot water came out. The toilets were luckily better. I just really like the fact that these facilities were included in the room and not shared. The people working reception were nice. I felt safe cuz there was security at the door, only letting card holders in. In short, I had a good time!

I mentioned it before already but expect some noise during carnival period. The showers were not optimal but okay. The lighting in the room was also not the best but not the worst.

Staff were amazing and super helpful, there was a situation with a roommate which was quickly dealt with. The breakfast was really good tasting and value for money, the room and bed were great mostly. I felt very welcomed, it was my first time travelling solo and first time in a hostel.

It was difficult using the ensuite bathroom because it was always wet in there from showers. But expected from such a small ensuite. Also some the the roommates were turning the ac up to 22 so I was really hot and had a lot of trouble sleeping, as it was the top bunk of a triple and heat rises. Not something the staff can control though. It would've been nice to have a map available as i got lost a lot, but thats a personal preference.

Great location. Characterful old building. Twin room with bunk beds and ensuite was comfy, clean, and had lovely extra touches like a kettle with tea and coffee. Sink outside the shower room/toilet was super helpful to get two of us up and out quickly in the morning! We were on the top floor, which required a walk up lots of stairs. A little bit of noise disturbance from doors opening and closing during the night, but otherwise very peaceful and a great night's sleep. Comfy beds. Nice linen. Towels included in our private room. Air con unit and fan in room. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Left luggage option for free.Breakfast was nice (ham, cheese, bread, pancakes, cereals, juice, yoghurt). Excellent for the price! And there are two tube stations within a 2-4min walk away. Honestly ideal!

The only problem was I didn't sleep amazingly due to the sounds of doors opening and closing in the corridor (our room was right at the top of one of the staircases) as other guests came and went during the night. This happens in almost all hotels, though! Compared to other hostels, guests were quiet and respectful during the night (I didn't hear any drunk guests coming back late! But it was a Sunday!).
