Me and my boyfriend stayed 11th of May to 13th of May. Everything was great! The building, restaurant and rooms are very cozy and clean. The food was really amazing! (ex. the duck, panise and mutton chops). The staff was very friendly too and the hotel is just around the corner near a trainstation so it is easy to travel around and because of that it was easy to connect to London Heathrow, Elizabeth line or Uber. We found it helpful to buy the train tickets to the airport beforehand. Thank you! I wished we could have stayed longer :-)
The only thing is that I could point out is that it is a bit noisy at night but for me it didn’t really matter since i found it add to the london atmosphere (+ they hand you earplugs if you want to use those)

Even if the rooms were smaller than we expected, it was very clean and comfortable. Don’t expect much to see in a room. It has only the necessary things and a bit more, like daily fresh water supply, warm blankets, and jazz radio. The breakfast exceeded all our expectations. Try French toast and avocado toast. The pastry is of a good quality. Unexpectedly they have one of the best coffees we tried in London. Usually, the hotels make economy on beverages, but not them. The restaurant is pet friendly but not the hotel, so don’t get confused or angry when they will not allow you to stay with pets. Worth the money!
The bathroom was tiny. It was a bit inconvenient to take a douche, making the whole floor wet. Also, there was no work desk as expected in hotels with bigger rooms. Maybe they have such space, but in my case, I didn't have any necessity in it. It wasn't a downgrade for me, but maybe for some this info is important.

This is a really lovely pub right in the heart of East London. A stone's throw from Brick lane and a short walk to Spitalfields, Liverpool Street etc. The rooms are comfortable and there was very little noise at night (we had a street facing room). Staff were super friendly and helpful and the bar is a lovely place to end the evening - we didn't have dinner here but the food looked delicious. Breakfast was also great. Highly recommend - we will be back!
Get down early for breakfast as quite a few items were unavailable when we got there - but it was all still delicious!

Amazing locality right on Brick Lane, not far from Sky Garden, Gherkin oř the Tower. Many gems to explore around! Clean, easy to check in even after hours, with a decent breakfast (fresh juice, yum). Good communication prior to arrival.
I expected more based on the reviews, but don't mind me, I am spoilt😁 The rooms are tini tiny, no privacy behind glass bathroom door. The dead plants on the stairway should really go. We were not explained what we can have from the breakfast menu, but we were happy with 1 item in the end. We would definitely come again.

From the quality of the rooms to the freedom of the roof terrace and the food and drinks in the bar. We have this bar/hotel on our list of places we know we enjoy a stay at when visiting London
okay so theres a lot of stairs to your room, be able bodied and happy with taking stairs. This isnt really the fault of the hotel more a feature of the property location and build. However I dont take it for granted that i can climb stairs easily and know it should be pointed out to others to be aware

The staff were welcoming and friendly. They made us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious. The bed was super comfy. Teas and coffees provided in the room were very nice. Very close to a tube station.
Unfortunately we could hear a lot of noise from the street and the bar, as we were on the first floor. This would have been expected in the evenings, and we were prepared for that, but I woke up to hear loud music being played in the bar before 7am! We also didn't like the glass sliding door on the bathroom. There was very little privacy.

Room was pretty and clean and the location of the hotel is handy, near the tube station. It's upstairs of a pub but you couldn't hear this in the room. Breakfast was great, options from the menu, so overall the price-value ratio was excellent.
Soundproofing in the room was quite bad. The hotel did provide earplugs and we slept ok but traffic noise can be an issue for light sleepers. The room and bathrooms are very small - we were staying only for 1 night so it was ok, but longer stay could be more difficult.

The Buxton exceeded our expectations! The breakfast was wonderful everyday and the staff was great! We had a great stay!
The only qualm we had was that we were on the top floor and there was no lift but we live in a walk-up in Brooklyn so this was really not that much of an inconvenience.

The Buxton is a fantastic spot and I would stay here again if the bed was more comfortable. I think the springs in the mattress were broken as there was a huge dip in the bed which made sleeping very difficult for my partner and I. The breakfast was lovely and the staff amazingly friendly and helpful. I can’t fault everything else
Couldn’t sleep as the bed was extremely uncomfortable.

The breakfast that was included exceeded all expectations! Not your usual hotel breakfast, gourmet and cooked in the restaurant - you ordered from the menu that anyone who was visiting would order from, but it was included in the price of our stay. Definitely a highlight, thank you! The private rooftop area was so pretty and had views across London. Because the Hotel is boutique and has less rooms than your usual hotel, the area was quiet when we stayed and we got to enjoy the views on our own, so it was really peaceful. I'm sure this won't always be the case, but I wouldn't have minded sharing the space with other guests - it was lovely. The decor was on point and the bed was super comfy. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I would stay again no questions asked!
Because of the weather the room was a little warm, but there was a fan and this can't be helped in a beautiful old building in summer!
