fantastic location- 5 mins walk from kingscross and 45 to the sights. lovely decor, staff very nice and helpful, beds very comfortable. Complimentary toiletries and a coffee machine.

our room was very noisy- and dark. In the basement beneath the bathroom and breakfast room. Noise starts at 6.30 am. nothing was set up- no wifi first night then given the QR code - why not have it in the room! Had to pull out the unit to plug the kettle in, no instructions for the safe, the iPad wasn’t charged- and couldn’t call reception on it- still never figured out what it could actually do, no sound system. Breakfast was just on- certainly wouldn’t pay £15 for it. lots of details missing from a lovely Hotel.

Boutique hotel, opposite a park and basketball court, and a short walk to St Pancras and Kings Cross stations. Well serviced for public transport. A walk to a lot of interest spots, and great restaurants over on the Regents Canal and tow path. Terrific breakfast and 24 hour access to bar needs if required. Is affiliated with a couple of great restaurants in particular Magenta, which if you are here for a couple of nights is well worth a visit! Beds are comfortable, and bathrooms whilst small have a great shower and product is supplied. All the bits and pieces for a hotel room are included in quirky storage. Staff are mostly very responsive. They don't have blankets, only doonas, so if you like blankets you will have to provide your own!

Rooms are on the small side, but probably average or normal for London. No lift as this is 3 houses converted to one boutique hotel. Can be noisy if you have the windows open. Air conditioning is provided but is not fabulous.

The hotel is in a great location with great transport link to anywhere in London with Kings Cross only a few minutes walk away. The staff we so welcoming and made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived, offering us complimentary tea or coffee upon arrival and throughout our stay. The friendly and attentive atmosphere was next to none, with recommendations of drinks in the bar and knowledge about the hotel and area history. The charisma and enthusiasm of the staff really made the stay special for us. The bed was comfy and spacious, with a bedside tablet to control the tv and read about the property, which was a great touch. The the lounge/ bar area had a relaxing feeling to it with amazing decor and chilled out music which was very much enjoyed.

Would be better if the style of the glass for the shower and toilet was reversed so that the mirrored side was on the outside of the cubicle rather than on the inside. Therefore you can’t see who is using the shower or toilet from the rest of the room as from this side you could see in and could make you feel slightly uncomfortable depending on the circumstances of the party.

Really clean. Clever storage. Tastefully decorated. Super close to walk to Kings Cross. Helpful staff who accommodated late check in and stored our luggage the last day. Free coffee and tea in the lounge, and fresh sparkling + still water on continuous supply. I was nervous about the bathroom after reading previous reviews but the shower doesn't flood the floor, if you're careful to shut the shower door fully. You just need to be comfortable with your partner as the bathroom is semi transparent as it's glass! And I was nervous about noise but we had a great room on the 1st floor that overlooked an internal courtyard, so it was quiet. Overall a quirky well designed petite room, which was good value compared to other 4 star hotels near Kings Cross.

We knew the room would be petite, as it's described as a tiny king, so that was as expected. But the bed definitely felt like a double and not a king bed. And there were dressing gowns in the photos of the tiny king, which weren't provided.

Put simply, I had a wonderful stay at The Gyle, and all the team were very professional yet friendly at the same time. The room I was in was very comfortable and the hotel being so close to the station resulted in a very practical and enjoyable stay. They Also have a wonderful selection of Scotch, a totally unexpected added bonus!

Again, put simply, there was nothing about my stay at The Gyle I didn't like, and I know I will stay there again during my next trip to London

The hotel was very beautifully designed and the staff was very nice. The location is very nice, close to the station but not on the main road.

It was quite loud having a room that faced the park, many locals like to hang out there late into the night. Also, I was working in the lounge one day and it was really uncomfortable to watch a young woman that was on the cleaning staff be reviewed and reprimanded in the lounge in front of myself, my partner, and another couple. I find this not only unprofessional but also cruel to the employee. Please find another place to review your employees so they get the privacy they deserve.

Great location, great decor, clean

Beware couples- while decor is great there's not a lot of bathroom privacy in the cosy room. More importantly- staff needs more training. I arrived having pre paid the week before. This was not obvious to the person checking me in and I was treated as if I was incorrect and quite rudely argued with. I eventually had to show email and bank statement.. before it was found I had paid. Attitude is all. Then later that day returned and asked another staff if it was possible to buy a glass of wine.... he had no idea re bar but basically ended up saying they only had bottles for purchase and couldn't sell me a glass. It's an extensive bar; a glass of wine seems easy...

The location to the St. Pancras station is great. It's located in front of a park in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of restaurants and things to see within walking location. High quality shower fixtures with great water pressure. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Probably the best pillows of my trip.

The doors to the bathroom are almost too good - they were difficult to open when leaving and the bathroom space is quite small so it can feel claustrophobic. Hallways are quite narrow and no elevator.

My own fault as I did not check in advance but we needed a room that we could get to in a wheelchair. The one we were allocated was downstairs and no others were available (the property is Victorian so no room for a lift). The young lady on reception immediately contacted another hotel just across the square (part of the same group I think) and transferred our booking over to them where we had exactly what we needed. We felt really well looked after and this helped to very much reduce the stress of a 'wheelchair journey' which is always a challenge! Thank you for an excellent service.
