We had a nice and clean room. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. It is a great location close to public transportation. The last day we could put our luguage in a locker.

We discovered no negative points

The location is excellent, just 3 minutes from St Pancras Station and the underground which was perfect for us as we needed to get to Stansted airport very early in the morning and were worried about walking too far in the dark. The room was fine and we were pleased to have 3 beds ( a double and a bunk bed) as we didn't want to sleep in the same bed and it is not easy to find a room with 3 separate beds. The reception staff and cleaning staff were friendly. We would definitely return.

It is a bit loud as there are building works going on outside but that's not the hotels fault.

I can very easy see now why everyone desires to come back to stay at this hotel, and why it's so difficult to book a room here. It's 'outstanding' on 'every level'. I've visited London easily well over 100 times, and this hotel is the Winner. Outstanding, friendly Customer Service, which I haven't witnessed at this level anywhere else. I was very impressed!! The Manager of this hotel, who I spoke to several times, should perhaps run a training course, to inform & educate other hotels what Customer Service is 'really' about. Going the extra mile for customers. Even acknowledging their customers by their name. Nothing's a problem. It's all Good Vibes. This is why this hotel is in the great position that they're in, and attracting their customers to come back & stay, again & again, rather than trying to chase them away, like other hotels give the impression that they're doing. I will certainly 'always' be trying to book my room here, whenever I visit London. I visit London at least 4 times every year.. It's a no brainer.

There's was nothing. Absolutely nothing.

- Location was perfect - Very comfortable bed and it felt bigger than a normal single bed - Super easy check-in with no hassles - Small room but absolutely perfect for one person using the room just to sleep in, have a shower and explore the city - Really good shower - Every morning that I left for the day, the room was cleaned and set up exactly as it did when I checked in

- Only once on the last morning, the hot water from the shower was more lukewarm but it was 100% perfectly hot for the other 3 days that I’d spent there

Friendly staff. Room with an extra (loft) bed, to the delight of my son. And our room had its own bathroom, which was also an unexpected bonus. WiFi was fast enough for Netflix. The hotel is mere steps away from King's Cross and St Pancras, which is incredibly helpful for getting to and from the international train and the Underground.

I stayed at this hotel in 2019, and really enjoyed the English breakfast they served back then. So it was a setback to hear they had stopped serving breakfast in the meantime. The hotel owner explained the reasons for this extensively. We did have our English breakfast at the Regency Café, and that didn't disappoint :-).

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, clean and rather spacious room compared to other hotels in London of the same standard, clean toilet and shower. We were a family of three in a room with three single beds with a shared bathroom in the hallway (just outside the door). The area offers some great food options and we caught trains, tubes, buses and a hop-on-hop off bus just within minutes of walking from the hotel. This was my fifth time at similar priced hotels in London and so far this is the only one I would stay at again... and recommend to others (as long as they don't mind simplicity, shared bathroom and stairs).

Only soap was provided as "free toiletries".

This hotel is in a good location in London near the Kings Cross station. It made navigating the city much easier. Getting from Heathrow Airport to the Macdonald Hotel was straight forward on the Tube with just carry-on luggage. The room with a single bed was small, but it worked for me. I'd stay there again. It isn't fancy, but it worked for this traveler.

The television showed BBC News, BBC Parliament, and Sky News and nothing else that I could find. And when I turned it on, the people on Sky News were complaining about the BBC. I laughed at that. The really good news is this hotel has WiFi so I was still able to entertain myself after returning to the hotel after a busy day of sightseeing.

It’s in a great location. I booked there because I was taking an early morning Eurostar and also attending an event nearby. I was looking for affordability while traveling for over a month. I had to do some work while there and the Wi-Fi in my room was reliable. Even though there’s a lot going on in the area, it was very quiet. It’s basic accommodation. I had a shared bathroom which was never an issue. It was hot while I was in London, so being able to open the window and having a fan room was essential. I also appreciated having a kettle. My room was on the top floor and looked out at a park. Nice to see green in the in such a built ups area. Front desk staff were very helpful.

It’s a bit tired. Bedding is faded and towels were worn. There’s no real common space to sit and enjoy like some of the other properties I observed in that general area.

My room was very nice.it was roomy and comfortable and overlooking a park and with a view of Kings cross.this is central london so there will always be some noise but it was minimal and perfectly acceptable.the location is terrific.yards from St Pancras Station and one couldn't get a more perfect location for city access.🙏❤️

Nothing needs to improve.everything is fine.the hotel accept your luggage if you're early and keep it upon leaving till your train or transport is leaving.exceptionsl service.alwYs a smile.even when torrential rain still a 😃 smile.

Perfect location to get on the Tube or train at Kings Cross/St Pancras, especially if you need to get to LHR early.

Location is the best, though my room this time faced all the construction going on and the main road of walkers/loud talkers all times of the night - not the hotel’s fault but not very restful this time. The room is very small but great bed/comfortable mattress and all you need for 1-2 nights … only there to sleep anyway.
