The room design is well thought out and very nice for extended stays. Loved having three windows for natural lighting. Hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood yet in close vicinity to bust station and museums. Bar has great drinks menu and bartender knows how to mix cocktails. Bar offers limited sides though no evening meal.

The front desk is frequently unmanned. Check in process has you sit down with a "host" in the lobby as host asks you questions. This reminded me more of meeting with a funeral director than checking in at a hotel. (Don't think this is the experience they imagined.) Hopefully, the hotel will be adding evening dining in the future.

The check in was superb, Imogen made the whole experience wonderful. The decor is nice and bar and restaurant ok and only the fantastic staff making the place a better experience. The spa area was ok albeit with a rusty 2m disc dripping into the pool water which seemed a mistake in chroming, rather than art. A real need to open up the space, some more space exists which is a cold and unwelcoming atrium with trees, as people of course commander the only 4 beds and there is nowhere else for anyone else's towels whilst they use the sauna, steam room, gym, pool. There was a need for slippers in this area as people walking around in outdoor trainers in pool area was a bit gross. The rooms are cosy, if a little cramped but ok for a night of debauchery. There was a need for a couple more tea options, some extra coffee pods as two decaf isn't a good start to a Saturday. Milk would be a good thing to see or at least some milk options. The TV needs a swivel mount and the divider needs one piece removing so you can watch illicit movies, some sport/news or antiques roadshow from your bed or make up mirror other programming is allowed albeit not past channel 4. Overall the lamps in the rooms are very poor quality and too dim. The warmth of them is ok but just not enough wattage it's a little dark. Many lamps were faulty but not the appliance itself. There is a need for a hand soap dispenser. And definitely need to put some robes in the rooms, a deposit for them is a little 1990 when paying £450 a night?!

The breakfast offering was ok but the staff have a ridiculous tablet ordering system that keeps not allocating the table. Over 40 minutes we were asked our room number 12 times because the table and room numbers don't allocate and they have to write notes. So, a good way to defraud the restaurant for new guests is say any number you like as in two minutes someone will ask again.

Great Hotel, nice rooms with everything we needed. Could have done with more coffee and tea in the room though, had to ask every day for more and was supplied with just 1 days worth each time, as in given 4 coffee pods each day, for 2 of us, instead of just giving us a bunch. Lovely relaxing /readjng rooms down stairs with piano and nice sofas everywhere. Great pool and sauna, tbat was fun.

Not enough coffee and tea in rooms. Rooms were a bit warm too, 19 degrees, couldn't get the room cooler, even with window open and the indecipherable aircon working, we think.

Nice designed hotel, beautiful entrance area, bar and restaurant. Very good service in restaurant but lack of service on reception (especially one arrogant recepcionist)

Rooms have low ceiling and not wide beds. Total feeling is that there are too many rooms for that size of reception and lobby. You always feel confusion in that area with suitcases of people checking-in & out. Very arrogant recepcionist. I asked for business details on the invoice which for him was hard to do and he refuse to do it. Luckily other people on receptiion were really polite and helpful. If hotel improve check in&out I will give them 9.0 rate

the hotel is really pretty

i booked this choice because of the bars/cafes BUT i asked the front desk when the bar opened and then arrived, but it was closed. They randomly change the hours . .. so we went to the restaurant bar which was open but the staff was not very nice. We asked to get a drink and sit in the lobby because the other bar was not opened, but the bartender started complaining about he had to work extra hours because they were short staffed and he was too busy restocking the bar to make us a drink so we should come back later when he was less busy . . . . it was very off-putting. If you don't want to serve drinks because you need to restock then lock the door and close - don't open and then complain when a customer arrives!

Central location around Gloucester Rd that felt safe even very late at night. Not directly located on an overly busy thoroughfare, but not isolated either. Easy walking distance to transport and numerous amenities. Good general ambience and interesting attractive decor. Super comfortable bed, slept very well. Best attribute was the staff who were friendly, accommodating and willing to resolve issues with a positive attitude. Lovely downstairs area zoned in different compartments to sit and relax, or work. Around the pool area is especially nice.

Dark decor in room made it feel a little oppressive and not too homely. Dining options unimpressive: limited variety for meals, menu uninspiring and portions of what is available are small. If revised/scaled up properly would be a great option for guests (and visitors) to dine in-house. Late cleaning between 3pm and 6pm is inconvenient. Limited toiletries on offer in the room. Could do with a more visible staff presence in the downstairs area to deter inappropriate behaviour of other guests - taking advantage of the seclusion - and help provide a greater reassurance of security.

Location Decorations and Colors New and Clean security comfy mattresses and pillows (but the size of beds is narrow)

me and my family have stayed for 2 weeks, we were told that no room service and no daily (housekeeping) to refresh or clean beds and twoels, we have to ask for that twice a week only ! the partition between the bed and sofa making the room smaller than it is. also it hides the TV from the bed. As per UK standards the beds were a bit narrow for 2 Adults (there are no single beds). but the mattresses and pillows were so comfy.

A new hotel. Everything feels like you're the first person to have used it. Even the carpet (mad pattern and not hangover friendly) looks and smells new. The staff are genuinely helpful and delighted to have you as their guests. Virgin and BA take note - hospitality starts by hiring the right people with the right attitude. The food and wine in the bar were perfect after a long day. Love the WhatsApp the team rather than calling reception to get assistance with anything.

MAN! Who picked the carpet? It is a bold choice. Somehow I missed how you get housekeeping to pay a visit. It was an issue as they only give you 2 coffee pods for the Nespresso.

Excellent hotel, top end quality furnishings all round the hotel.

I asked that the sofa bed be made up as the room was advertised as that and me and my friend didn't want to sleep in the same bed. I was told by the reception manager that booking.com shouldn't of advertised as such and that it is an extra £50 to make up the sofa bed, but on this occasion they would make up the bed as a good will gesture, when I got to my room at 11pm this hadn't been done and I just had to sleep on the sofa!! Which wasn't the nest night's sleep for the money paid.

Hotel location was perfect. Underground is just a block away and it is the underground line that goes to the airport - which was very important given the rail strike. Easy walk to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace and lots of places to eat around the hotel. Really great location. Room was nice and kitchen supplies were great which made it easy to have the occasional meal in the room. There were two groceries within three blocks.

A few things drove me insane during my visit. One - the hotel depends on a public app for communication. If I don't have that app and don't want to install it for my stay, I needed to go to the front desk to interact with the staff. Second, there was not an outlet to blow dry your hair in the bathroom. I had to stand in the kitchenette to have a working plug. The pool, sauna, workout room and locker rooms were nice but the bar area was a bit noisy (due to the music) and the free drink was very watered down - I did not go back. The library area looked nice but every time I tried to use it groups had rearranged the chairs as their own personal space which made it uninviting to a solo traveler.
