The Z Strand's main draw is its perfect location near Covent Garden and London's theatre district. While the room was decent and relatively quiet for central London. For the location, it offers reasonable value if you're planning to spend most of your time exploring London. The staff went above and beyond.

The bed was uncomfortably firm, making it difficult to get a good night's rest. The room could have been cleaner, with particular concerns in the shower area that needed better attention. The noise levels within the hotel were noticeable, with sounds from other rooms and corridors clearly audible. Poor window insulation allowed cold drafts and wind to enter the room, making it uncomfortable and chilly while the air conditioning unit was also problematic, with an annoying light that stayed on constantly throughout the night, adding unnecessary brightness to the room.

We paid for the Queen Room which apparantly is a little larger than a double. Clean room, had everything we needed although very compact or "cosy" as my husband called it. A nice big TV at the bottom of the bed. Staff were very helpful at all times. Room cleaned every day and fresh towels every day. Plug sockets plentifull and in the right places.

Didnt like having to climb over my husband to go to the toilet during the night due to the bed being against a wall, woke him up too obviously. There was not much space to hang clothes, only 3 or 4 coathangers against a wall, therefore had to live out of our suitcase but there was no where to put the suitcase except in front of the entrance door so struggled to get in and out of the room. The bathroom has smoked glass all around it so not very private.

The hotel is in a great position right on the Strand. Our room was clean, modern and had tea and coffee making facilities, which I did not expect for the price. It was a small room but functioned perfectly. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet-ish after about 11pm. The staff on the front desk were friendly and helpful, taking our baggage to the room while we were out, after we arrived early before our room was ready. This level of service was not expected for such a small, cheap hotel, but it was much appreciated.

The bathroom door is frosted glass, which meant privacy wasn't guaranteed unfortunately. The door to the stairs was not locked, and the front door to the hotel was open, so I was slightly concerned that anyone could just walk in off the street, in the front door, past the front desk which isn't always manned, then go up the stairs to the rooms. Other hotels we have stayed in have locked doors to the stairs.

Close to lots of attractions - walking distance to Trafalgar square, British museum, China Town, Convent garden and close to underground so easily get to all other attractions. Was very clean and comfortable. Room was the standard small size of any London hotel. The best thing in comparison to many other London hotels was no charge for keeping your luggage and complimentary water bottles whenever we asked - at many other London hotels keeping luggage after check out is around £15 per bag so keep that into mind when checking hotel prices.

Not a problem for us but something to be aware that there is a slight gap in the bathroom door so the person in the room can see inside slightly. If you share a room with someone you may not be comfortable as they can see you.

The staff were incredible! Friendly & helpful... The location was 200% in the perfect spot. Close enough to everything.. you can walk to Trafalgar Sq, Covent Gardens, Charing Cross station is across the road! I would highly recommend this spot for someone seeing London for the first time. The rooms have all new modern finishes, even electric blinds. Nice showers! Aish was a rockstar at the front desk! All the best helpful hints and tips for seeing this iconic city. Even after checking out, she offered me a wine or cooldrink beverage before making my way to the airport! Its these small gestures that can make your stay memorable! I'm glad I picked this hotel!

The room was small, however it was okay for a single person.

The location of the Hotel is excellent, very close to all main attractions in London. very close to underground trains, within 5-15 minutes walk you have theaters, supermarkets, convenience stores and restaurants. the room are cozy, very clean, quiet and with all necessary appliances for short stays or business trips.

The only negative aspects where that as the room is very small for two people its difficult to move around, there is not a shelf to put your suitcase or clothes, an option would be to in the wall one or two shelfs for clothes and the last aspect we had was that in the 3rd day that was the cleaning day they didn't changed the towels, although we requested that dyad they assure they will change them, they still forgot it and we should ask it for second time to change them.

I booked this room for a one night stay for a concert in the city, and as such, went for the cheapest option, which was windowless. Upon arrival, I was informed that I had been upgraded for free to a window room, with a larger bed! This was the first pleasant surprise. The second was discovering that on Tuesdays (the night of my stay!) they do complimentary wine and cheese in the evening! Other than that, the shower was good, the bathroom was small, but had everything needed. The presence of toilet paper on a roll was good! (This is something Premier Inn do not do!) The final thing - small as it is, was the bottle of filtered water on the bedside table, and the presence of saches for hot chocolate! A most excellent stay and I was almost sad to leave.

I loved how it was all in one room. And it was compact but not claustrophobic. Location, perfect. Tight in the middle of everything. The staff was lovely and very helpful. The amenities were greatly appreciated. Towels were so soft and nice 👍

Mostly everything was great but there were stains on the sheets at the ends they tried to hide by tucking it in . The shower was weird as well. The shower head was too heavy or the clip was too loose because every time I tried to put it horizontal, it would just slowly tip down. So either you have to have it vertical up or pointing down and spraying at the back wall. I never mentioned it to the staff because it was a massive issue for me. But I'm pretty sure they could have fixed everything if I had let them know

Stunning location, very comfortable bed. Very nice staff.

These rooms are tiny tiny tiny. No fridge, the toilet is less than six feet from the bed (close that sliding door!!), there's no closet, just pegs to hang stuff on (including a hangar or two), there's room for only one or two small suitcases on the floor. Oh, and while they are generous with the in room coffee, tea, hot chocolate stuff, my wife said that the coffee was entirely undrinkable. I had tea which was fine.

Much better than expected. I had booked a room without a window and it still had a small one. The location is great and despite the many guests that stayed in the hotel and the proximity to high traffic roads, it was completely quiet in the room and I slept really well. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. There was a small desk which was good enough to get some work done. The bathroom was nice and the shower had a good water pressure and constant temperature.

The room was really, really small. I knew when I booked that it would be small, but even as a single traveller with two pieces of carry on luggage it was almost too small. You constantly have to move things around to find space and there wasn't really any storage space. For one night it was good, but if I would stay for a longer time, I might go somewhere else. If I would travel with my wife, I would want more space.
