The pub downstairs is spacious and decently priced, we stayed for a night of local food and drinks and the location was ideal for that. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The price of the stay for free reserved parking and a centrally located room was excellent. The room was big and the bed was lovely and comfy, cups tea and coffee provided.

My only criticism is the noise from the karaoke downstairs but we expected it before we arrived, so it is a very very small negative, it finished well before midnight and instead of seeing it as an annoyance we decided to rate the singers and have a game of 'name the song and band'. The many positives very much outweigh the expected pub noise so we'd definitely come back again.

Friendly staff and great location. There is parking at the back and easy access to the hotel separate to the pub. Nice big room with twin beds, large TV and a lovely lady who cleans the rooms, makes sure we have enough tea etc. Eating places galore in the surrounding area. All in all a great place to stay.

Three nights of Karaoke across the weekend! The cup holder in the bathroom comes off as it's just placed on precariously.. could hurt if it fell off and lands on your foot. No lamp on the drawers by the TV which makes the area very dark. Pillows were not very comfy but I'll bring my own next visit, these are not things that would stop me from staying again as the positives outweigh the negatives.

The room was large and comfortable. The pub is centrally located. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

There was some noise which would have been difficult for the owners to avoid: beer deliveries in the morning and music from below in the evening (which stopped very promptly). Parking was right next to the hotel but not straightforward to find if you're not familiar with Louth, involving a little detour round a one way system, but once there the management had very efficiently reserved a space for us.

Great central location. Reserved our parking with a cone with my name on which was a nice touch.

One to be avoided if you want an early night as the rooms are above the pub, which has karaoke/disco until midnight. I've read other reviews that said they were told about this on arrival. We weren't, but it stopped bang on midnight so can't say fairer than that if you don't mind waiting until then to get some sleep. Can't comment on whether this is a weekend only thing but I imagine it is.

Easy to locate, parking at rear with a cone to reserve the place. Pleasant team member checked me in & showed me to room.& explained keys 🔑. Room was spacious with a large tv & tea / coffee ☕️ making facilities. 2 single beds in my room.( 3). Nice bathroom facilities. Had a few beers in bar. Slept well throughout night 🌙. Easy check out in morning.

Only problem I encountered, could not get the shower to go past warm, maybe there was an immersion switch or whatever but could not get hot enough for my liking.

Parking at the back of the hotel, although getting blocked in by someone wasn't great especially as I was meeting friends before a theatre show and had to wait for the owner of the van to move it so I could get out!!!!! The entrance to the hotel was separate to the bar area which was great and the room was lovely and nice and warm, nicely decorated too. Plenty of towels and some toiletries to use. Comfy beds and the exact same hairdryer I have at home which was brilliant. The location is spot on in the middle of the town, plenty of shops and food places around. All in all a great place to stay with friendly staff and we met some nice people who use the pub. Would definitely stay again. Good value for money.

There was no information given on check in about Breakfast availability or the times and where you could have it, maybe a little info sheet in the room would be useful, also info on what's on in the pub and what's around the town. The pillows were a bit flat and I ended up with a neck ache.

We stayed in a family room as that was all that was available when we booked. Nice big room, fresh clean bedding. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Locals also nice and friendly and chatty. Lovely place and lovely atmosphere. Nice beer garden too.

The bunk bed but we were 3 adults in a family room and the bunk beds would be for children not adults. They were a bit creaky and wobbly but we aren’t kid size so probably fine for a child. Everything else was absolutely fine

The room was spacious and very comfortable and clean . The hotel had its own car park and its location is in the town close to the shops and bars etc.

I stayed in room 4, this room is above the bar. I had been driving/working for many hours and after a meal at a local bistro I decided to have an early night. A disco below my room started playing in the early part of the evening, despite this irritation I managed to sleep until about 9:30 when I was woken by a live band below which played until very late. It was so loud, later that day I was working at the local race circuit so I had a decibel counter with me which measured 87dB, I could not sleep. Sorry, this was just not acceptable, this room should not be let during music evenings.

It's always great to stay above a pub and this was a great local in the heart of town. Just the stopover we needed on our bike ride. The staff were brilliant and secured our bikes safely.

Pays for what you get and I know breakfasts have disappeared from most establishments since the birth of witherspoons so not surprisingly it wasn't economic but its a shame its not an offering anymore. We eat 6 witherspoons breakfasts on our cycle tour. Say no more.

Great central location, bed was really comfortable, staff member booking in was extremely polite and helpful. And it's a pub..... We've been to Louth for a visit in the daytime and couldn't help but notice the amount of pubs there. We decided to stay the night and explore a bit more and had a fantastic time. Didn't even manage to visit all the pubs but one we missed was a spoons so didn't miss much there.

The hotel had a small car park which was unfortunately full so had to park in the council car park round the corner. Couldn't put a ticket on the car longer than 4 hours so had to get up at 7.30 just to put a new ticket on the car. When this was my only complaint and it had nothing to do with the hotel really, it must have been a good place to stay.
