The rooms seemed very new and super clean and thoughtfully decorated. Room is quite small but really cosy and modern feeling, in this pub which is hundreds of years old. Setting is lovely. We were warmly welcomed and it was super easy showing up and leaving again. We would definitely stay again.

Bathroom was a bit less well appointed than the bedroom (although the water here is really hard, so it's tough to keep any bathroom pristine). Be warned, you are in the middle of nowhere, and on a Sunday when we went, things close early (including the pub itself, so we didn't experience it at all) and the local taxi firm - so we ended up driving to our evening activity rather than taking a taxi, which we had not anticipated and were a bit disappointed about. Breakfast process would benefit from some kind of order form the day before if you want breakfast; it's currently a bit of an informal process which wasn't very reliable for us.

Really friendly welcome, and shown to the room. Clean but small, and floor uneven and lifting despite looking relatively new. Single bed with too many cushions on it and no real space in the room to put them. Single bed pushed against the wall - made it difficult to get comfortable. The Food and service in the bar/restaurant was excellent . Only downside not VAT registered for the room and no bill other than CC receipt, and have to pay separately for food and room as they are on different systems. Would stay again, but ask for bigger room

It was a small room - Im would stay again but would want a bigger room and a proper hotel type receipt. Have one bill for food and accommodation .

The rooms were freshly decorated, super clean, included everything I needed and felt super comfy! The pub is super close by and could have a lovely dinner, without needing to drive anywhere. The owner is lovely and super helpful and generally loved the whole experience.

Nothing to say here

Small but highly functional room thoughtfully arranged. Great free parking and excellent wifi. Easy self check in.

Communication before arrival meant O was unsure how I would access the room and if they could take my booking requests

Room was a cosy single but had everything I needed. Enjoyable evening meal in the pub at reasonable prices.

Room was a bit too cosy for my liking, but that is just personal preference - there was nothing wrong with it and facilities were all you would expect and I thought the price was very good.

The pub side is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but that was fine. Room with ensuite and TV had comfortable bed and was very peaceful. Only 4 cars in the car park so plenty of room. Breakfast was available by arrangement, had I wanted it.

All was fine, from my perspective.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was a standard double with en-suite & towels supplied. Separate entrance to the rooms so didn't have to walk through the pub with all your luggage. The food in the pub was very good with good size portions too. Good size free car park always handy.

A friendly welcome and a very good evening meal. Good parking. Very clean room.

The single room is very small. This is not a problem for a night or perhaps two, but it would not be suitable for a longer stay.

Lovely stay overnight before badminton horse trials. Host Lovely and staff. Great meal and breakfast, would stay again.

More attention to cleaning and dusting. Light on bathroom mirror not working and shower could be cleaner, undersink cupboard not good 😒. Cobwebs around the ceiling.

Comfortable bed and efficient shower in a warm room. Just what was needed. The single room is small but immaculate. The welcome was warm and efficient with a hearty dinner served in the bar next to a roaring fire.

Nothing.
