Value for money, friendly and honest helpful staff. Will recommend to all friends and family

Nothing , except I left my coat in the wardrobe and haven’t been able to get through to anyone to be able to resolve my problem. The phone automation doesn’t give enough time to explain anything before passing you on to speak to someone. No matter how long you wait before cutting you off. So not be able to speak to anyone so I can resolve my issue of arranging to get my personal item back. My own fault for leaving it. But need to know if it was found so I can make arrangements to pick it up without a wasted journey.

I arrived very early for the book time and needed to store my luggage until the room was available. Kirsty made me feel welcome, and I was able to check in before time. This had made such a difference as I was in an area I had not been before. Dispite not having a disability room. Kirsty made sure my room was on the ground floor, not far from reception if I needed any assistance. Steve, who works in the restaurant, had also made a huge difference. His hospitality was exceptional. The cleaners were also respectful and friendly.

The en-suite desperately needs updating. Some tiles had black mold, and the bath and sink were beige. However, the shower pressure was great, but the toilet did not have a great flush in the room I was staying in.

Spacious room, great friendly staff (arrived after 10pm due to traffic but staff were great letting us in after check in time), excellent evening food, fab location. Very comfy bed, extra pillows and blanket, good size TV. Hairdryer, coffee facilities, iron etc. Nice smelling body wash, powerful shower.

Breakfast, continental was great, plenty of choice and unlimited, we went with the cooked breakfast, was ok but bacon and fried egg overcooked and hash browns undercooked. No cold water came out of the bath (room 6). Had to wait for hot water to cool before getting in. Bath also very small definately not big enough to relax after a busy day.

Well, what a pleasant surprise that was! The pub itself is massive! With a separate sports bar area for over 18's only. When we arrived it was quite early, the main body of the pub was heaving with families and there was a lovely, jolly atmosphere. We ate in the sports bar, which was also quite large, and had a pool table-at this point in the evening it was quieter. The food was good quality and excellent value for money, and the staff were lovely as well. Later there was a karaoke on and the pub filled up with a different mix of people. It was very friendly and a really good laugh. The room was traditional in style, larger than usual, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Some comments have stated that it is need of a refurb, that may be so but I can't say it made any difference to our stay in the slightest, and I'm not going to put that in the "What didn't you like?" section either, as it is irrelevant overall. A great value stay with brilliant staff-you can't go wrong.

The staff were the highlight of our visit. Helpful, friendly, efficient and always cheery. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very quick to spot when a table needed tidying or when anyone had a request. Thoughtful touches like asking if we wanted a short wait between finishing our mains and having dessert were really appreciated. The food was good - great value, good portions, nicely cooked and presented. A good range of vegetarian and vegan options, too.

The hotel side of the premises is unmanned overnight which is a bit unsettling. There is an emergency number but if there was a need of someone, even for an ordinary event like locking yourself out of your room, disruptive guests, a leaky toilet, it shouldn't be necessary to have to call a mobile number and wait for someone to (presumably) get out of bed and drive to offer help. The bathroom is probably due a bit of an update but everything worked and the shower was nice and powerful and hot so just a minor mention.

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception and breakfast (I didn't have any other meals). Adequate free parking. Clean room, with an adequate en-suite bathroom with bathtub with shower over (my preference). Comfortable and warm room. Standard breakfast, but nothing special, but there is fresh fruit available.

En-suite bathroom is rather dated, and needs modernising and refreshing. The bathtub needed handles fitted, for safety reasons, and the grab rail on the wall was not sufficient on its own. At breakfast there is a very limited menu, and no fish option is offered. The bananas looked as if they had been stored in the fridge and looked unappealing, but once you had the skin off, were OK.

The room was big enough and the bed fresh and clean looking. I liked the big TV as I usually struggle to see tiny ones when I'm away. The bathroom was a bit dated but that didn't bother us at all as everything worked and there was plenty of tea/ coffee/toilet roll and hand body wash for our stay. The staff were very friendly and nice. The attached pub was convenient No fee for parking Would definitely use again Was a really short drive to the nearby activities

The pub offered value pub grub, unfortunately we didn't enjoy any of the meals and will probably eat out if we go again. . It wasn't an issue with the Broughton hotel- more what the pub chain offered, it was convenient - but crap. Although in fairness lots of local people came for their tea, so it's just a reflection of my taste I don't know why but I had a really really terrible night's sleep. Again no fault of the hotel

Good Price, Comfy bed, nice shower, friendly staff, and a good full English breakfast. What more could you need for a cheap night away. Also, connects to a reasonably priced pub. It’s not the Ritz but nor are the prices. Highly recommend if you want somewhere cheap and cheerful.

Lady at check-in in didn’t make it clear that if you hadn’t ordered breakfast with your room, you could either opt for the hotel breakfast (served 7 till 9) or the pub breakfast (served 9 till 12). We were only told that breakfast was served 7 till 9 when we could have had a lie in and gone for the pub breakfast, instead of getting up at 8 to make it down to the hotel breakfast.

Room was fine. A good size . The beds were Comfy and linen beautiful . Shower super The breakfast was good. A varied selection. . Staff helpful and friendly . Quiet location and no noise from in or outside the pub/restaurant/hotel Very handy for The Stables at Wavendon and indeed The Theatre area of Milton Keynes/Willen Lake.

Perhaps time for a refurbishment in bathroom . Shame we couldn't get TV although staff tried hard to sort it out. Atmospheric conditions were to blame they said .. Must have been that as later in evening normal service resumed .

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We were able to get breakfast on the Sunday as we did not have to leave as early and the variety was excellent and the full English superb.

Parking on the hotel side of the property was difficult unless you arrived early but ample space in the main car park just a few minutes walk away. Breakfast not served before 8.00 am on Saturday and Sunday (no flexibility to even have continental breakfast and coffee a little earlier).
