This is a great traditional pub and the room (including the bed) was very comfortable. The pub is basic in some ways, but delightful. All the staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, going out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast was great and the pub happily stored our bags until we left the town later that day. Loved the resident Golden Doodle too. Would happily stay again.

Room was a rather too hot - this was very welcoming but a bit uncomfortable for a while - however, the radiators went off in the late evening so it was comfortable to sleep. Am sure this could be tweaked - but didn't get chance to mention it.

The breakfast was cooked fresh to order between 8:30 -9:30, which can be a but late for a tour day or travel day but seems pretty standard in this type of accommodation across the UK. The publican and staff are friendly and cheerful and the resident dog is a cute big poodle who is super placid and friendly. LOVE the links to Tolkein and the old wooden ceiling beams and the beer garden is a legitimately lovely garden. Very easy walk to the local laundromat where we could do a wash and dry a fairly large load for ten pounds in under 90 mins. The family room had a proper bed not a sofa bed which was appreciated.

No mini fridge and not a large TV for the size of the room. Not cheap but the area is not cheap. Parking is not a problem in the afternoon but can be tight with lots of traffic in the day. This is typical of the area. The pub does not have designated customer parking but street parking is free.

Comfortable, friendly and good value in the Cotswolds. A small inn with 5 modern rooms with all the amenities. As a bonus, this inn was visited by the author J.R.R. Tolkien and was an inspiration to his writings as stated on a plaque at the front door. Our room had very comfortable beds and lovely linens, modern bathroom with a walk in shower. The rooms are located in a quiet location right off the garden and not close to the pub section to give you a good night sleep. The town is a sleepy town so most of those coming to this pub are locals and come in for a pint or 2 and therefore I don’t believe you would have worries of rowdy crowds to interrupt your sleep. The complimentary hot English breakfast they serve in the morning was so delicious and kept you going all day. Homemade jams and breads, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit in addition to the hot breakfast items. We arrived on a Sunday and had reserved a table for Sunday roast. We had a lovely table set and ready for our arrival. The meal was so delicious and was huge! (We could have shared one). Highly recommend their roast. The owner, John, is very friendly, as are his staff. and it was a great place to end your day in the pub before settling down for the night in a beautiful room. I can highly recommend this inn, their staff and the location.

Nothing however we wish we could have stayed longer.

For a pub with rooms this is a little gem. Room was very comfortable, spacious , clean and quiet. Nice pub with a good range of beers and wines. Lovely garden area at the back and everyone very friendly. Good breakfast . Could not fault any of it really and would be happy to go back. Excellent value for money given other accomodation in Moreton.

Breakfast is fine but you need to check whether they are serving food in the evening particularly out of season. Not an issue really as there are a number of places to eat in the High Street within a few hundred metres.

The room was a great size, well appointed amenities, and the location is ideal. The beds were comfy. I think when booking at this hotel, you need to be aware that this is also a pub. Our room was in a building separate from the inn. There was an outdoor seating area just outside our room that had customers until around 10:45pm or so. If you are hoping to get to sleep early this arrangement may not work for you. If it were not for that fact that we had planned for an early start the next day, we would have been enjoying a pint on the patio with the crowd. The staff are excellent and the breakfast was plentiful

Our room was on a lower level, and the noise from the occupant above us was quite loud.

Beautiful, large and very comfortable room, a queen and single which was perfect for my family. Fabulous breakfast included with room. Lots to do, great base to see Cotswolds. Stayed two nights, wished we’d stayed two more! Cotswolds cycles were fabulous, hired bikes, easy walk from Bell Inn, as is the Falconry and Batsford Arbortorium. Staff wonderfully helpful and we felt very welcomed and at home. Great pizza dinner and atmosphere watching the soccer. Thanks for a great relaxing stay!!

Great beers. Excellent breakfast! Wonderful, friendly, informative staff. Warm & cozy inn. Lovely town. Convivial locals who gathered us into their groups and welcomed us with beers and dogs :) Also, walked to Batsford Arboretum and enjoyed exploring there. If you want to walk, make sure to catch the walking path just south of The Bell Inn, or you'll be walking along the road on the asphalt path. p.s., Finley is such a great dog :) https://northcotswoldcamra.org.uk/

Food service longer in the evening (stops at 830 pm) would have been much appreciated. We had sandwiches, etc. from Tesco (which were very tasty), but hot food would have been great. However, other places in town also shut food service earlier than we expected.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the proprietor and his staff, the fun atmosphere of being in an English pub especially over the holiday weekend when musicians attracted crowds of visitors to the pub all of whom were civilised and friendly. The breakfast was good and delivered with a smile, the amenities in room were superb.

The stairs up to the room but I managed
