Breakfast was excellent. The bed was nice and big and we had use of the sitting room / common area next door to our room where we could have a takeaway meal and use the kitchen / dining table and relax to watch TV with a bit more space. Heather was very welcoming and helpful. Being so close to the M8 made it easy to drive to places near both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Not that we didn't like it but you should be aware you will need a car and there isn't anything close by so a little more planning is needed for evening meals. Many places are closed on a Monday (which is when we arrived) but we had a really good takeaway from Koh I Noor in Shotts and, as long as no one is booked for the self-catering, you can bring it back to eat in the common room.

Everything was perfect! The room was spacious, super clean, and comfortable with a good-sized private bathroom. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room and you can also use the guests' lounge where you will find a kitchen and a washing machine . Rooms are on the ground floor with a private entrance. Even though the property is right at the exit of the motorway, you won't hear anything. It's really quiet! Parking on site in front of the room entrance. Breakfast is cooked to your preference, and the hosts are extremely welcoming and pleasant! The guesthouse is situated literally at the exit of the motorway. Make sure to drive slowly not to miss the turn! We only spent 1 night here as we were flying out on the next day. The location was really convenient for us, only 30 minutes from the airport. Really good deal in the area! Highly recommended!

The whole experience from start to finish was wonderful. We had to visit Scotland for a sad occasion and the hosts could not have been more accommodating, they allowed us to check in early and even remembered the reason why we needed to and wished us well. The rooms were very cosy with everything you could need (including amazing views, especially when it snowed!) Comfy bed, TV, tea and coffee, hair dryer and a great shower! Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the little added touch of oat milk (I advised I had a milk intolerance when choosing breakfast) meant I could enjoy a nice hot drink on a very cold Scottish morning. All of the staff/owners were so friendly as are their dogs and horses 😍 Would 100% recommend and are already talking about using them for another trip we are planning next year. This was a great place to base ourselves for a few days, being half way between Edinburgh and Glasgow, and not far South of Falkirk, with a 5-10 minute drive to trains and buses.Our room and unsuite well set up, and the attached kitchen/ TV room was great with everything we could need for meals, etc. The cooked breakfast prepared by Wayne and Heather, our wonderful hosts, was fantastic, with my partner especially liking the syrup porridge. Would recommend.

Breakfast is wonderful, it is served in warm, straight from kitchen, all food are fresh, there is Day Room and kitchen with complete cooking utensils, microwave, fridge, dish washing machine, ironing board, very clean & comfortable. Bed is big & comfy. Bathroom is clean with hot & cold water. The owners are friendly & helpful. Definitely will go back there when I visit Edinburgh again.

The Location is literally on the slip road off the motorway, which i must admit thought it was going to be really noisy with all the passing traffic, but you could not hear it at all in the room. The communal sitting room is lovely, it had everything right down to board games. Breakfast was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The showers in the bathroom are brilliant so powerful, and the shower is big.

The couple who own tge property was excellent, greeted us and explained that we could use the kitchen and lounge area. Bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. I had all three options over our stay. Heather told us where the best places to visit, explained that it was easier to drive to a local tram stop to catch it to Edinburgh.

What a lovely spot, just off the M8, but you won't know you were so close. Our room had a massive and extremely comfortable bed, the room and bathroom were immaculate. Our hosts were very welcoming and provided a lovely breakfast the next morning. We would definitely use this location again when travelling and I am very happy to recommend it to others.

Really good value for money. Basic but clean and everything we needed for an overnight stay with 2 dogs. Plenty of room to exercise them. Also appreciated the facility to eat our take away and provision of plates and cutlery. Owners very friendly and helpful.

I think for the price we couldn't expect more . We weren't looking for great decor or luxuries or wanting to pay for them.

Room was comfortable, breakfast was good and staff were friendly. Nothing we could complain about really. Location is a bit unusual and if you're following GPS to the location do not miss the little slip off on the bend!!

Perhaps a clearer sign showing guest house is to the left coming in. Perhaps a small lower table in the room for older folk to pour their tea etc.
