Staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. The rooms are kept to high standard and very clean, and also lovely decoration inside and out. The hotel is pet friendly and even accepts nervous dogs such as ours, which is amazing .The food is extremely tasty and highly recommended by ourselves. We have thoroughly enjoyed our last few stays, one of which was for 2 weeks. There is also a beautiful function room for parties/weddings/venues. Lastly, for the quality of room and service for this hotel, the price is unbelievably worth it and inexpensive.. Ally and jenny

Beautiful room - really spacious, clean and with an amazing view; delicious breakfast - from continental to full Scottish; we had dinner once, soup, risotto and bruschetta: everything was just great! All members of the staff were helpful and professional.

Nothing, really this has been such a wonderful experience, from the room, breakfast, cleanliness and the staff. Can't find anything negative to say.

After the faults with the first two rooms (not the staffs fault) they kindly upgraded us to the garden suite and gave us Prosecco for the inconvenience. Staff were lovely and the room we were given was absolutely beautiful. Absolutely no faults whatsoever.

The first room we got was 2 single beds, however we booked a king superior. The staff changed us rooms no issues however there was then an issue with the shower.

Excellent staff, friendly, cheerful and helpful. Evening meal was very good and reasonably priced. Rooms clean, breakfast lovely. History of the hotel on the walls was interesting.

88 year old mother was up a lot of stairs and a fair way from us (Room 3/Room 30). Her tv had a bad signal and was unwatchable). Happy to accept that both problems may have been beyond the hotels control. Low on selection of beers.

The staff and facilities were exceptional. I have to say that very sadly there was a fire in the spa whilst I was there and I want to praise and thank the staff (and the local people) for their calm kindness during what was obviously a very stressful and distressing time for them. They made sure we had breakfast at the local garden centre and the firefighters were incredible, putting out the fire as soon as they could and allowing us to get our belongings. I really wish everyone well and as they are still advertising I assume they have continued business in the main and unaffected part of the hotel. I highly recommend it and will go back. Their new menu looks delicious!

The room was great! I mentioned when I booked that I would need AC and they were quick to respond, and booked us with the appropriate room. It was my first time visiting Scotland and this was the perfect hotel for the trip!

It takes a minute or two for the water to turn hot, but other than that, no complaints at all; we had a great stay!

Room was stunning , staff were just so lovely and helpful, the maintenance guy was lovely , moved our room just cause the tv remote didn’t work did t even ask to Move just so nice . Reception staff lovely 🥰. Smelled lovely snd clean. Bar staff lovely such friendly atmosphere . Yes Hotel a bit dated and needs a revamp but overall brilliant.

Only thing we found a bit in inconvenient was the restriction that you can only use the pool for one hour a day and have to be out by 7 if you have a child under 16 . Use of the pool was important for us so we used it once and had to use a pool at another location on our 2nd day

It’s in a nice character hotel in a countryside location next door to three garden centres which is always good for a wander. I had a comfy bed in a nice clean room including tea tray with quality biscuits. Lovely welcoming staff from reception, restaurant, bar and housekeeping. I had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and a delicious breakfast so compliments to the chef also. Thank you I’ll certainly be back.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The toilet flush was noisy at night time, but seemed to correct itself during the day All staff were friendly and very helpful

Breakfast. Ordered for 8am as we had to begin work at 9am Although we a were there just after 8am we did not get served until 8.50 after asking. It was not as if the room was full - there wereonly 2 other there. Also there was not 2 cooked breakfasts to prepare as 1 was cereal and yoghurt. When the scrambled egg did come it was not fully cooked; tea was luke warm. This was disappointing as everything else about the hotel was fantastic. This was adjusted at reception. Thank you

Staff were very friendly on arrival and during our stay and very informative, the room was great minus the floor boards squeaking and the temperature due to air con, it was spacious and had the amenities we needed, the shower was great and the room actually had windows you could open which is always a plus, the spa facilities were excellent as was the massage treatments we received. Overall an excellent stay and would be a 10/10 if it wasn’t for the heat and floorboards in the room which wasn’t a huge deal.

It was quite a maze to get to the room but this made it a bit more fun, other than the squeaky floor boards and the hot temperature in the room due to no air con I have no other flaws. The location isn’t the best if you want to dine out etc but if you want a relaxing time away close to the countryside and many garden centres then this is ideal.
