Clean and modern hotel. Large bedroom with comfortable double bed. There was a wardrobe, desk and chair, drawers for storage and a sofa in the room. Nicely cooked breakfast with everything apart from fried eggs. There was a good choice of cereal, fruit: berries and mandarin oranges and fresh croissants.

It was pricey at £100 a night, but maybe it would have been cheaper if I'd booked earlier. Loud voices in the street at around 2am an 3am each night, so I closed the window. I prefer a bath, but there was only a shower. Car parking is chargeable, so I parked a mile away off London Road in a residential area and took a bus.

Was allocated room directly opposite my friend's. Modern, light, bright, clean, comfortable, everything worked. Loved the large shower cubicle - MUCH better than stepping over and into a bath. Excellent towels, bath sheet size. My friend's room overlooked trees and a park, my own was onto a roof scape - but even that was bright, open and well-lit - I could imagine a James Bond or Mission Impossible fight sequence being filmed there! Great fun! Flexible booking which I needed (just in case!) was much better price than other hotels I'd investigated.

Ultra strong closure on room door, made very loud bang on closing if I didn't remember to hold it - felt I would be disturbing other residents if I forgot. Didn't have breakfast, just a little pricey at £12 (joined our other friends at the Premier Inn) But our rooms were much better and far better value!

The location was ideal just short walk from the station. The staff were very friendly and helpful as we left our cases with reception before check in. Nothing was too much trouble our requests were dealt with in a very friendly and helpful way between us we had 3 rooms and we all agreed that it was a great place and would return and recommend it to others.

Nothing much that we didn’t like the carpet had a stain in our room and the hall carpets on our landing also had some stains. However the room we had was spacious and good size shower so all good.

It was centrally located, and handy for most things in the town centre. The room was comfortable, and the fact they accept dogs was much appreciated, especially since we stayed during the Christmas period when it would be difficult to kennel them. Staff were excellent as well, and spent much time cooing over the aforementioned dogs

This will sound trivial, but the sheer distance to our room! It's a big old place, so to get from reception to our room involved getting the lift up a couple of floors and then a trek through a long, endless, curving corridor. Just the hazards of staying as such a large hotel, I suppose.

Staff were really attentive. Thought I wouldn't be able to make it for the first night of my booking. Phone was busy so sent a message via the app. They checked me in so that I wouldn't lose my booking and were really great when I finally showed up at past midnight. Housekeeping was excellent. Location was very close to where I was going but far enough away from the centre to be pretty quiet.

You can very clearly hear people walking in the corridors at night. Make use of the don't disturb signs as housekeeping will come knocking earlier than expected if one is not on the door. Not to knock the housekeeping they did a bang up job every day and were super friendly to boot.

loved it! we booked here last minute after being let down elsewhere, but i actually think it was the best as i can’t fault this hotel. the bottom floor of the car park has a back entrance to the hotel and also a door to the cinema which was so handy when we went to watch a movie. the staff were beyond friendly and kind as well, and when we asked for a bit more milk to make some brews, they brought loads which was prefect for us

if i really had to pick something, the walls could do with a little bit of paint in the rooms and the curtains had a few weird marks on, but for the price we paid, these things didn’t really bother us at all

There was a lady staff member at the front desk who checked me in. She was absolutely amazing and should really be management level (if she isn't already). I recommend the 4th floor without a connecting door between rooms. The carpet in the room I had was very clean so I don't see what people are talking about when they say it's not clean. Overall I had a great stay.

The nightclub nearby is a little noisy but that's not the fault of the hotel and can easily be ignored by closing the window.

Location is great, a short walk from the railway station and restaurants, etc. But the best thing was breakfast: a very generous and varied selection, including full cooked and proper continental like it is rarely seen in the UK even in much more expensive hotels. They have ample vegan options: three types of non dairy milk, vegan sausages... There were beef and chorizo sausages alongside the usual pork ones for meat eaters. Breakfast was SUPERB.

The shower head did not stay up and had to be held. But everything else was spot on!

Have stayed here numerous times visiting people in Northampton. Location good between train station and town and rooms/bathrooms always clean and tidy. Friendly staff and easy quick self-checkout

Although the room was warm, it was a cold day/night and maybe there could have an extra blanket in the wardrobe as I was with my elderly Mum who feel the cold more. The breakfast buffet I feel is a little overpriced at £12 but then again, we like to walk into town for something to eat

For the cost this place was exceptional. The staff was amazing, the breakfast is a full English, which I love, the bed and pillows are comfortable, water pressure was ok and the hotel and room was clean. The only problems I had was the key card for the elevator gave people problems and I needed to request for the cleaning lady to change my tea cups and replenish the tea bags. I will be staying with Ibis hotel again.
