Really nice stay, very comfy beds. Breakfast lovely. Bar good & Restaurant. Would stay again. Weather was lovely too. Comfy outdoor garden furniture.

Pool chemicals smelt so strong and the water was cold, I got in and out. Locker wouldn’t open for my Mum she called for help (as there was a phone in there call reception) and no-one answered the phone she was stuck in the changing rooms for 20mins over with no clothes towel bag etc. Luckily I turned up to meet her in there and called the hotel from my phone - someone did answer me and came straight away to help.

The room was clean and comfortable. Parking was free and plentiful. The grounds were well kept and nice to have a picnic in. The breakfast was really great. Normally hotel coffee is awful but this stuff was pretty good! I noticed people in the reviews had said that the swimming pool was too cold, but to be honest on the incredibly hot days we stayed there it was a welcome relief!

It was an unfortunately incredibly hot couple of days when we stayed. The room doesn’t have air con and we were supplied with a standing fan, but it wasn’t powerful enough to cool the room down. A bit of a more powerful fan would’ve been great.

It was perfect for what we wanted, a good night's rest before taking the car back to London and from there returning home (to France). The night was completely calm, we couldn't hear the slightest noise, and the bed was comfy. The hotel has a swimming pool and gym but we were a bit too tired to use them.

The hotel is well suited for conferences and seminars. I'm not sure it's ideal for a romantic escape in the sense that the rooms are quite simple with no particular charm. The bathroom is a bit basic. I was also not convinced by the bar and restaurant and we preferred to go to the local pub, which is a few meters away and a little friendlier. Another issue was the presence of a few bugs. Three spiders in our room and quite a few dead wasps in the hallway. Nothing to disturb our stay, however...

nice aesthetics as you drove up to the hall. A friendly welcome by the reception staff who provided all the information and advice we needed. The rooms were fresh and clean and pleasingly decorated. Good room size which was spacious enough for us with space for clothes for a weekend. The room also had all the facilities we needed.

The changing room for the spa was tired and ready for a refurbishment. it could have done with a basket of some sort to place used towels as there were towels all over the benches and on the floor when we used it.

Lovely setting

Restaurant service on the Saturday night was poor, people having to get their own menus, having to ask for drink’s after being sat down for 10 minutes. Food being brought out before tables were cleared of finished plates. Bar had a wedding and some of the wedding guests were vaping at the bar and not one bar person asked them not too. Breakfast on Sunday morning things were running out quickly but not being replenished people kept having to ask for things like more milk next to coffee machine, tea cakes and yogurt to mention some that were asked for.

This is a lovely, relaxing place to stay, set in extensive grounds with more than ample parking. Without exception, the staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgable. Rooms (I believe fairly recently refurbished) were clean and comfortable with everything needed, including a good iron and ironing board - quite often not an automatic feature of many hotels these days. Nice bathroom toiletries too. We opted for the £25 three-course meal and there was plenty of options to choose from and good quality, as was the buffet breakfast the next morning. Would recommend and will definitely be returning at some future date as my friend and I enjoyed the experience...

Nothing really to dislike - my friend had a slight problem with accessing channels on the TV in his room. It was a Sunday evening (no maintenence staff immediately available) so the receptionist went up to the room and fixed it herself !

Breakfast was good , parking was good and the grounds were well tended and very nice.the room was clean and the bed comfortable The staff were friendly and polite, Booking in and out was straight forward with no wait.

Listening to the outside caterers till after 1 o'clock in the early hours of the morning, lots of talking and cars moving and clattering around , I presume this was after the private function that had been going on during the evening, The food in the restaurant was basic and very over priced ,would not use the restaurant again .

Staff on Reception was fabulous. responsive, understanding, helped with any question.Room was very tidy, very comfy bedding, all clean and fresh, the window from the room was overlooking on a field where very beautiful cows were grazing with amazing sunset. The pool and sauna was very clean. All what we wanted that day when we were childfree 🤭10/10 stars 👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥

Too long waiting for the dinner in restaurant and very noisy doors in the rooms

The staff were so accomodating and helpful. The whole area so relaxing. Gorgeous outdoors, lovely place to have a summer drink. Complete peace. Love a pool and a jacuzi! There was a wedding on, but we heard no noise from the reception - good soundproofing/layout. More modern than I expected

Jacuzzi was cold on one of the days. Not sure if it takes hours to warm up or if it broke. Could do with 1 or 2 more experienced staff for the dinner rush as seemed a little short handed. Some areas still outdated, such as pool, changing room.

Facilities were great, loved the pool and hot tub my partner liked the gym, most the staff were very friendly and the hotel itself was stunning, never tried the restaurant but the breakfast was amazing so much to choice from, would definitely go back again and even try out a few of their other hotels.

I had to change my key card everyday for some reason the key would just stop working, a few cobwebs above the bed and in the corners of the room but nothing major, that you can't use the facilities after 10pm
