lots of character, really nice country historical feel to staying here. very clean & relaxing place to stay.

in the booking it states the breakfast is included but no where on the booking. com site or on the confirmation booking did it tell you this was only a continental breakfast & you have to pay more for a cooked breakfast. this should be noted as part of the booking process.

Really nice hotel and the price gave great value for money. Rooms were all excellent and larger than we expected with a shower that provided heat and power, always nice to have one after a long shift on site. Continental breakfast was perfect and offered an array of choice, you also have the option for a cooked breakfast but this is an additional £12.75. Evening meals were an ok standard. Whilst waiting at reception to check in I noticed a leaflet for using the whole place as a wedding venue. You get the entire hotel to yourself along with 24 rooms including the honeymoon suite. All I can say if I was close by and getting married (which I'm not) this would be the venue of choice as the package is unbelievable and what I would consider as very cheap for the area.

Only poor feedback I can offer is to do with food. The triple cooked chips had not density to them and would much prefer freshly cooked chips. The beautiful beef brisket and ale pie was delicious along with the peas but the creamy mash didn't taste creamy and was quite dry, once the juice from the pie was used it really required additional gravy to finish the rest of the mash.

This was my 2nd stay in as many weeks, and one of the numerous times I've stayed at the Roundabout over the last couple of years. The room I had this time was a different one (I've stayed in most) and the bed was extremely comfortable. The facilities are more than adequate, and the beautiful, quiet setting is perfect for a relaxing evening. The managers Sue and Andy are always so welcoming, and know me by name now. All other staff are great too, and food is good. There is a new menu coming out soon, so I hope I return soon so I can try some of the other food on offer. This is the only place I will stay when I come to visit my parents, and I thoroughly recommend the hotel to everyone.

The breakfast was fantastic - scrambled eggs and salmon A luxury. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The linen was sparkling, Egyptian cotton sheets. I slept in a double room with lattice windows on the first floor. It was beautifully quiet, and the sun poured in in the morning. En suite, tastefully tiled in beige The theme is cream walls and deep red carpets throughout. There is a bar and very pleasant restaurant with original varnished wood floors, and open fire burning with logs. Food from the evening menu was delicious. The staff were charming, couldn't be nicer There was an outside area with rattan cane furniture, where you could have coffee or a drink. All surrounded by high trees as an oasis. It has excellent parking facilities, and the whole village situation is very quaint and unusual. I highly recommend the experience. A beautiful place,

The food could have been more local but i believe they are changing their menu and apparently 80% of the produce is less than 30miles, really reducing their carbon footprint.

Spacious room, four poster bed, lovely view over the garden and terrace, modern and spacious bathroom. The dinner menu was pretty extensive, with all vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and omnivores in the family all catered for. We had a delicious meal, attentive service from our waiting staff. The continental breakfast was very good and had a wide variety of cereals, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, different breads, cheeses and ham. The staff were very warm and friendly, we had a lovely stay.

IT s hard find any fault but cycle racks or storage would have been great as more and more people cycle nowadays, particularly since ebikes were introduced, although the staff were very helpful and moved a member of staff's bike so we could lock our 4 bicycles up securely. Thank you!!

Nice, quiet, relaxing hotel. Our room was good size, very clean, we stayed 2 nights and the room was cleaned with fresh towels left etc. A member of staff is always around and easy to be found, all very helpful and polite, but not in your face which i prefer. Didnt have breakfast either morning, but had dinner in the restaurant the night of arrival which we had not booked, so booked the table at reception on arrival at 6:50pm and sat down to eat at 8pm. Food and restaurant staff were all great and attentive, i would most certainly stay again.

The only gripe was no heating in the room apart from central heating, which i presumed was switched off as its August, it did get a bit chilly at night, but couldnt have bothered me that much as i never bothered to enquire, and probably was a way to switch it on if needed. Also a bit more info in the room about Wifi code etc would be handy but again just needed to enquire if it really mattered. I would recommend a stay here given my experience.

Excellent location, large room and comfortable beds. Public areas were homely and inviting. Good breakfast choices. Grounds were nice.

Even though the room was large, it was quite dark so we had to keep the lights on. We had a superior twin room which unfortunately did not have a bath and there was no view from the window, only a tree. Also the fire escape route went straight through our bedroom, which wasn't entirely relaxing. Also at one point the whole room vibrated, but once we found out what it was we were fine.

The room was fantastic. Loved the huge mirror frames and the vintage styling throughout. Breakfast was basic, but tasty. Staff were excellent and the bar was very comfortable in the evening. All in all a very welcoming venue.

Don't take this the wrong way, but the bed was squeaky and the mattress overly soft - it felt well used rather than one that had been manufactured as soft. The breakfast is a continental one rather than cooked that I don't think the site description specifies.

Nice location, friendly welcome, friendly staff in general. Hotel looks great, we stayed in the bridal suite. The room as you'd imagine looked fantastic, we've stayed at hever Castle before and I would say the room is equally as good as one of they're feature rooms. Easy to book for dinner and the dinner itself was fantastic, qell worth the trip downstairs. Got served and all our food received in quick fashion and the girls serving us really friendly. Had interaction with both managers, one at reception and one during dinner. At dinner the manager was happy going around talking to diners and was friendly.
