The location of the resort was a good base from which to explore both the north and south coasts of Cornwall.

The food facilities on site were far from what ai would describe as being that of an international resort. There was only one restaurant open. And after ordering our meal having just arrived to find that no heating had been switched in our lodge, we’re informed that the only chef on site had to leave because he was ill. I did not know whether to feel relieved or sorry for the poor family who did receive food before we had to go and find an alternative restaurant offsite. We were told that the resort’s manager would be informed and that he would be in touch to see what could be done to make amends. No such contact was forthcoming. All in all I think this establishment needs to sharpen up its act as leaning on past glories like most of the signs around the estate are fading fast.

Location was fantastic. We were given a room with balcony which was fantastic surprise. Tea , coffee and biscuits lovely. Bathroom perfect. Breakfast plenty of choice and even cooked fried bread for my partner. So he was very happy. Swimming pool lovely , also nice changing room . .only down fall was lockers not opening, but staff only to happy to come and unlock. Golf fantastic, challenging course , kept to high standards even in all this wet weather. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Always a smile and a hello. Doing a fantastic job.

Pillows too soft , couldn't get right. But everyone different on that so not a complaint. Nothing not to like

Very spacious 3 bedroomed cottage -large beds plus huge re-fitted bathrooms. Well equipped( except salt & pepper were empty!)

Parts of the estate looked tired & in need of renovation. It’s a long way from the cottages to the bar & restaurants in the main hotel. So if it’s raining ( which it was!) it means someone has to drive -then can’t have a drink. As there are many golf carts on the premises it would have been a very good idea to offer their services as a pick up! Parking for the hotel ( to use spa or bars etc) was very challenging due to all the golfers & women at yoga etc etc. We had to park a long walk away just to get a drink in the bar at lunchtime. There should be a parking area reserved for hotel guests.

We only stayed one night and did not have breakfast; but the room and bed were great; the balcony and view very good; and the swimming pool and spa facilities excellent. The staff were very polite, helpful and cheerful. Wifi was automatic - did not require getting codes form reception or logging on with personal emails etc.

I don't like to criticise places. Could perhaps do with a bit of a general spruce up; repairs required to a couple of places in swimming pool ceiling;

The view from our balcony room was stunning. The selection of food on the menu was brilliant, and room service came quickly. The facilities were excellent and we liked that we could use the pool whenever we liked.

The air conditioning didn't keep the room that fresh so we had to keep our balcony door open as it got warm in our room. Rooms could be updated. We booked a meal in the restaurant (an boeti), the food was lovely but we waited over an hour for our main course. The pillows and bed weren't that comfy.

Venue was really good. Staff were great and the food was good including breakfast. Very relaxing environment.

The room cleaning was dubious. We stayed for 2 nights. My towels were not changed despite being left in the bath. My colleagues bed had not been made and despite his towels being replaced the bathroom had not been cleaned. We also overheard a couple of other guests making comment at checkout too. The chair in the room at the desk was too low to enable a comfortable working position.

Food, staff, golf courses, driving range, pro shop and the manager.

We went there for a golf holiday and because of a wedding all the rooms were already filled so they give us an assisted room for people with disabilities. We went to reception to change the room and the young man who was there was a little bit lack of polite and without experience in dealling these king of situations by refusing us in a very unpleasant way. Anyway, next day after the wedding finished, the manager, a very young and nice lady was so nice and helpful by giving us a new room with an awesome view to the golf course. Thanks Jess!

The hotel is located off a roundabout on the A388 and as such easy to find. Staff were polite and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, overlooking the golf course, with free in room Wi-Fi. The food was good in the evening. Breakfast from 07.00am, was buffet style. Checking out was easy. I would highly recommend The St Mellion Estate and would definitely stay here again.

The wi-fi is not secure. Even though I was second into breakfast, the beans and bacon were only luke warm.

Peaceful and quite staff very nice

I would like the staff to come to the table and take the order for the food and no disrespect these game for the kids have half the things missing management should be looking at this I booked two rooms which I didn’t think I did but apparently I did through booking.com I wanted to have a room with my wife and son but I ended up paying for two rooms on my itinerary it said balcony but I had to pay £50 extra for a balcony only one bath towel in room 229 and on one pair of slippers and bath robe in room 208

The accommodation was perfect for my purposes. With pretty much everything I required for my birthday treat. The class instructors being flexible with their numbers, so I was able to join In. The reception staff at the health suite desk were incredibly helpful.

Class availability was poor, however special praise for Nathan who made it possible for me to attend a few of them (which was my reason for booking in 1st place) thank you.
