The hosts Sally and Dave were both very welcoming and super helpful. The location was really good, I had a lovely room that overlooked a park and I wasn't that far away from the City centre. The room was spacious and very clean, the bed was comfortable and the coffee facilities in the room were kept well stocked.

The only bad thing was the guy in the room next to mine, snored like a freight train and he was so loud that it came through the wall. This isn't anything negative for the property as he was really that loud that I don't think anything would've blocked him out. I still managed to get a good night sleep though!

I am suprised this little hotel only has a 2 star rating. My room was lovely (no.2) with a huge bay window overlooking the park. The bathroom was small but had everything I needed. The owners were friendly and helpful. On street parking immediately outside the hotel was easy. (i was there at the weekend) The room was spotless and the decor was bright and modern.

Very little I didn't like. Perhaps mattress on bed could be thicker and softer? Perhaps bathroom could be modernised a bit. Perhaps hallway carpets could be modernised??? But then this hotel would be more expensive and materially not a great deal different!

It is easily accessible, simple and easy through Devonport Train Station. Plymouth main station is about 30 min walk and buses are easy to figure out. The place was across lovely Devonport Park. Neighborhood was quiet. Bottom line: good price for the night. If it’s a quick trip and there is no need for frills, this is perfect. pubs near by and the ferry to cornwall’s Torpoint is 10 - 15 minutes. There is a bus station at the ferry terminal. Taxis as well.

Nothing. Some with need for accessible rooms may find stairs to upper levels difficult, but call. My room had a shower and a sink. A dedicated restroom was available. Fine by me, but call and ask for private commodes.

Very comfortable room with great views over Devonport Park. Two armchairs in room with everything provided that was needed. Comfortable bed and pillows. Easy free carparking . Welcoming hosts. Very easy walk and close proximity to the Devonport Playhouse which was our reason for visit. Quiet street

Bathroom on the small side but putting a perfectly good ensuite into the rooms of a period house is not easy and was achieved as well as possible. Good shower and fittings

Dave & Sally are great hosts, very obliging and helpful. Good value for the price but weather very hot so room rather stuffy a floor fan and small fridge would have been perfect. Would recommend to family & friends although it is in Devonport some distance from Plymouth but train just around corner and cheap as chips. Would be happy to book again as Plymouth is fabulous for shops, sights, restaurants and bars and we weren't staying long enough to cover everything. Hosts very informative about the area and local attractions.

Window didn't open wide enough and towel rail needs fixing

Owners of this hotel couldn't of been more welcoming or helpful with local information. Also giving us extra milk (fresh) whenever asking for more (partner drinks tea as if it's going out of fashion) Located opposite a very beautiful park (Devonport park) With a lovely little cafe. When coming to Plymouth again this will certainly be my first choice when looking for accommodation.

It’s “old fashioned” accommodation. Good-sized rooms (although the en-suite was a little on the small side) and I didn’t see any Formica! Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The view over the park (not all bedrooms, I understand) is excellent. The park opposite is great to walk around, watch the bowls etc. etc. and a has a very good cafe. Very good pub within 2 minutes walk. As pubs used to be, with a wonderful host/cook/barmaid (Nicola). She made me feel very welcome by introducing me to each of the locals as they arrived, and provided a very good Ham, egg & chips.

The bathroom was a little small. Given the (very large) size of the bedroom, a little could be sacrificed to improve the bathroom (but I understand that this would incur a cost).

Dave and Sally and the most WONDERFUL people ever. I was only able to visit for two nights, and they made sure I felt just at home and helped me plan out everything to see the most possible! Truly the kindest, most generous, and hilarious people! I slept so well, everything was spacious, clean, and QUIET. I am so sad to be leaving! Thanks so much...and until next time!

Really friendly hosts with a spotlessly clean room. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was fine. Nice touches such as tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Easy access to the building at all hours. In a lovely spot by a park and parking looks really easy. I would say its quite a distance to walk there from Plymouth city centre though - its quite a hilly route too. I would recommend getting a ride there and back. If you are getting there by train, I'd recommend using Devonport station, not Plymouth as Devonport is a 2 minute walk away yet Central is quite a distance away.

An extended check out time (currently 10am) for a weekend stay would be good.

Wonderfully quiet and spacious room, with a lovely outlook to the park. The owner was very helpful and most entertaining, with a great sense of humour. I felt that we were very well looked after and had a great stay. Breakfast was great too. Cooked to order. Thank you!

Honestly, there wasn't anything I didn't like. It was all good.
