The breakfast was very good, lots of choice. Orders for breakfast were taken, rather than you getting it yourself from a buffet and the serving staff were excellent. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Especially the public toilets in the restaurant area. 5* The restaurant had a large variety of meals plus a reduced special on each day of the week.

Next time I will try and book a room on the ground floor. Having to carry our cases up two lots of stairs was not easy. There is no lift. Which I found very surprising. I also wish the breakfast time was until 10am every morning. (When on holiday I like to have the occasional lie in)

The hotel was very conveniently situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Every member of staff I came into contact with was warm and friendly. Nothing was a problem at all. I had an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were of very good quality and great value. The room was nice an warm with everything you could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable. I would say as someone who stays in around 3 hotels a week, absolute great value for money.

I would say the carpet in my room was a little tired. Could do with being replaced but it didn't detract from my stay in any way shape or form.

Lovely staff throughout the hotel, very friendly and helpful. We were traveling for a family bereavement, and the staff at reception were more than accommodating to our needs. Clean and spacious bedroom with all facilities catered for .Tea and Coffee tray in room also complimentary water. Extra fresh towels supplied. Food served in bar was excellent and reasonably priced .

Limited access to sockets in the room, the ones available were covered by the heavy desk/tv table .No small mirror in room for make up or while using hair dryer.

Location was excellent for travelling into Edinburgh for rugby match the next day. Our room was really comfortable and very clean. We ate in the restaurant - food was delicious and really good value for money. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and cheerful. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The weather 😊 We had a four hour drive through a storm to get there! If only Best Western could control the weather 😊

The Room was spotless clean, bed very comfortable

Tried to call for room service and found the phone line plug was out from connection , i went down to reception and was informed, no room service available 🤷‍♂️ managed to get some crisps. No one came to sort phoneline before i left next day. Bar lounge ran out of small measure glasses during the function i was attending, staff had to go through to other bar for stock which isnt great when lounge was busy.

The hotel is very central to shops and a very good shopping centre. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant food was lovely., as were the staff .The room was very clean as was the bathroom with plenty of hot water and a good powerful shower..

The room was very compact. Not a lot of room to manoeuvre between the end of the bed and the desk area. Not alot of room on either side of the bed either.The walls and skirting boards were in need of a paint as they were stained , scratched and black marks.The bath was very slippery and no handles to help you get in or out an older person would have great difficulty getting in and out the bath , the shower was also inside the bath . This is our 3rd visit to the hotel over the past 2 years. I felt for the price I was charged things could be better.

there is no longer the facility for having a drink after hours for guests-THIS IS A BIG LET DOWN-as we've been coming here for years-with this in mind bar closed 45 minutes early and no allowance for drinking up despite night porter jason being in attendance-however great stay and will come back-I'M AN EXPAT SCOT LIVING IN ENGLAND-NEVER THOUGHT THE ENGLISH WOULD MAKE YOU MORE WELCOME THAN MY BELOVED HOMELAND

breakfast was as asked for and promptly made, could have had a full breakfast plus continental but chose not to it would have been a too much to eat first thing in the morning

small thing like more milk for tea in the room but reception was good and gave us a small milk jug to take up to the room, the room number was above the door handle which we missed, only two rooms had that the rest of the number were in the middle of the door.

Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the breakfast we had was good.

It wasn't very clear what was included in the inclusive breakfast, my husband had a breakfast roll, which we ended up paying extra for and, to be honest, I don't understand why this wasn't included in what we had paid for with the cost of our room, especially as I I had a full Scottish breakfast, which seemed more?

There was a restaurant and bar at the hotel. Every staff member we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size.

They did not follow their advertisement for Christmas meals. The brochure stated it would begin on November 30, but then they didn’t start it until December 2. It was a disappointment.
