We really liked the room, it's cleanness and size. The shower was the most powerful we have ever experienced! The daytime reception staff was very polite and helpful and gave us lots of tips on the local pubs and restaurants and how to get there. The hotel even assisted us with getting a taxi from the train station, as there is no taxi rank there.

On a first night the bar closed early, although we were informed that it's 24/7. on the second night there was more guests and the bar reminded open till late, so I'd recommend to ask how busy the hotel is to get the feel what the bar service going to be like ;).

There are many things that helped highlight my stay at mercure Livingston, for example the hotel is in an ideal location 5 minutes off the m8 with the Livingston centre being just a 5 minute walk too just makes it even better, the hotels facilities exceeded my expectations, the staff were lovely to deal with and really friendly. The reception and bar area had a lovely feel and there is plenty of car parking available.

My experience with the Mercure Livingston was mostly good, however, I felt as though the doors are just a bit too thin, when people walk past in the night you can hear every step and every word said. Apart from this I have no other negative comments

The staff are super nice and made you feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and always very well turned out. The room was also really good. The bed was comfy and it was also very quiet at night. It was also a really good space to chill and out and relax in. The food and bar area were always kept really clean and staff were always on hand for your needs. The hotel is in a good location to travel to Edinburgh or to Glasgow by train, bus or car.

The hotel is a little tricky to find despite the signposts around Livingston.

The staff were very helpful. We didn’t know when we booked that there was no lift. I have back problems and my husband has aortic aneurysms and is not to do anything strenuous. On arrival and departure the staff helped with our case.

Just that there were no lifts for the first floor. We were told we could ask to change to the ground floor the following morning but as we were only there 3 nights and could manage the stairs minus the case we didn’t feel the need to change and make more work for the staff changing the beds.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff were absolutely superb - special shout out to the ladies on reception who were so good with our kids and also the gentleman who was around the bar on Thursday when we were there. He was super friendly and had so much time for us while our 5 year old was relaying our almost entire day! The lady at breakfast was super too and took the time to talk to all the guests and was happy to help :) The staff really made the stay - thank you so much to them all!

Overall staff were friendly and helpful, was there attending a rave nearby, hotel done the job, didn't try the restaurant or the bar but the room was not bad, quite clean and tidy so can't complain, done the job and good value for money I'd say

Shower was a bit awkward to work but, as mentioned, I was at a rave and couldn't tell my arse from my elbow and the lobby was roasting when we got back, and the pillows were a bit stiff but overall was a rather pleasant experience however

Helpful and friendly staff on front desk. It was very cold when I arrived and I had walked a distance, and I was offered free coffee to warm up. Big comfortable room, plenty of space to work and spread out, full-size bath, reliable wifi and TV. I ate both nights in the bar and the food was very palatable and well cooked. Ditto the breakfast - good range of foods and high quality. Reasonable prices in the bar, an excellent choice of drinks, with polite and friendly service. You can call a taxi directly from the desk which I found very handy. Good value for money.

The corridors are a bit scruffy and worn. And it's not the hotel's fault, but there is really nothing to do in the vicinity except go to the vast shopping centre nearby and get lost in Asda.

Me and my mate stayed there Friday to Sunday as we were attending an all day rave on Saturday. Good location as long as you are driving or getting a taxi nearby. Staff very friendly and welcoming especially the younger women with red hair who checked us in, and also got me an iron and ironing board (because I can't pack my clothes properly 😅) The restaurant food was nice and the bar area too. No noise around our room, and no complaints about our music when we did have it on. Asda and a shopping centre over the road.

The weather 🤣

When we walked in, we were stunned at the xmas feel it gave you. From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome. All staff were absolutely fantastic. They really do make your stay and are so helpful. Everyone was smiling and looked happy. Food was tasty and the service was amazing. Breakfast was a buffet and there was plenty to choose from. Room was large and spacious and cosy. Will be returning 100%

Wonderful staff on reception helped us when my husband was sick with an ear infection. they made sure he could get in to see a dr at the hospital which was close by to get some antibiotics. They were very kind. The staff at breakfast and dinner were also wonderful and caring. I was easy parking and I knew the car was safe.

The outside of the hotel was a bit drab a d could do with a smarten up.
