We had a Lovley deluxe room called the longhorn suite, huge comfortable bed with top class white linens, bathrobes, the tea tray , the best I have ever seen ,coffee machine, selection of tea and even had homemade cookies !! the attention to detail is fantastic for the amount of money charged.very clean, wonderful shower and the room had large beautiful windows I could move in .the decor was just as considered , beautiful armchairs, charging points, digital radio they have really gone all out to make this room as good as they possibly can .Breakfast was not included in was extra but then you can come and buy it whenever you like don't have to get up until you want too and it was the best eggs Benedict I have ever had, at a great price. We ate in the pub downstair in the evening and met a friend the food and staff are just wonderful.

nothing.

This is a historical house modernised with very high standard, spacious parking lot, tasteful decoration, high standard electronics (Nespresso coffee machine is awesome but maybe leave some Nespresso capsules there as well to match the quality), and delicious breakfast until 11am, perfect time as brunch, highly recommend their sausage and bacon, the best I've had in the UK.

The towels had some suspected hairs on, laundry quality could be improved. Bathroom smells a bit odd which I'm not surprised since the building is old, a reed diffuser would solve the problem.

:Lovely building, great dinner and great staff, lots of parking, room very clean, nice radio!

No coffee in room though there was a nice coffee maker.. I think it was supposed to be there so clearly an oversight.. I did email afterwards but didn't get a reply. Also it could be clearer what to do with the key when leaving early (no drop off box, no message on exit door etc.) so I had to call the emergency number. These were minor things, the room was lovely and super-clean and considerately set out (radio on low in room upon arrival etc.)

The room was lovely. It felt luxurious with the beautiful bed linen, curtains and amenities. There were great little luxuries, for example, homemade chocolate cookies and speciality teas and coffee. The bathroom with shower was spotlessly clean. We had a great meal in the restaurant, the homemade pork and black pudding sausage roll being exceptional, and baked Camembert with a generous portion of chargrilled sourdough was particularly delicious. We skipped breakfast the next morning as we had to leave, but we wished we could have stayed on for longer for the extensive and good value breakfast offering. We will definitely return again soon.

Nothing.

We ate Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime. Both meals were very good. Sunday lunch was excellent!

We had a room on the second floor and there is no lift so a little difficult with luggage. We were in room 9 which was quite spacious and well appointed. The bed was quite hard and the Robert’s radio that appeared in the pictures was missing. When we questioned this we were told that it must have been stolen! The bathroom was very clean and the towels were beautifully clean and fluffy. The shower was very small however. A large person would really struggle.

This is an amazing place to stay, a great location that’s only 10 minutes from Sheffield city centre and 20 minutes from the edge of the Peak District with places like the Derwent Dam and Ladybower Reservoir. The Florentine has a great bar and restaurant. We had Roast Dinners and Breakfast the next day. The room was flawless and the staff were all so helpful. I genuinely don’t write reviews but this place really was great value and I would recommend it to everyone.

spacious king bed room. lovely warm room and shower facilities. model room within a large country house in picturesque area. the staff are lovely we had a delicious evening meal but we were the only diners and as we went to our room realised the staff were waiting for us to leave, however they didn’t rush us in anyway even though the freezing weather.

a little confusing check in and out. limited staff however was Saturday evening to Sunday morning. staff needed to confirm booking as double room when booking.com call it a king room. paid on arrival which we found no problem. you had the impression that you were alone at night as all staff go home and there is a mobile number contact if problems. Either replacement bathrobes or change of fabric conditioner as one of the two robes in room was very rough.

The location was perfect as we were visiting our son who is a student at Sheffield university and lives in Ranmoor village accommodation. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished and had everything we needed.

There wasn't really anything that we didn't like. We could hear some banging around quite early in the morning (about 8am) just outside our window. We assumed it was someone putting things into the bins which were just outside but we were both already awake so it wasn't a problem and didn't last long.

Beautiful hidden gem. The rooms were very clean with all needed equipment and loved the coffee option in room. The best shower I had while staying in hotels but not really suitable for tall people. The whole building design is quite chic and welcoming. Staff is extremely welcoming and assisting and waited for our late arrival and served us a nice pint on arrival.

Shower heads could be a bit more higher and too many stairs

I would say that I loved almost everything of this hotel except the climbing stairs with luggage part (the pretty girl at reception helped). The building is sort of antique, the decoration inside is lovely. The room was very clean and delightful. The ground is a restaurant, easy to have food and drinks. Easy to park for free.

There has no lift. That's the price for living in a historic building.
