The breakfast was excellent, all well-cooked and tasty. The service was very efficient. There was an exceptional variety on offer for the continental breakfast, presented beautifully. The location was convenient. Car park a very short walk. We were going on a train trip very early in the morning which was approx a 15 minute walk which was fine. Close to some nice restaurants and pubs. We went to bed quite early on the first evening as we had to be up very early in the morning. It was quite noisy outside with people leaving the pub but it soon settled.
The room we were in (No 7) was really hot, although comfortable. We have stayed in larger rooms for less money and the bathroom was a little small. There wasn't much room to put our bathroom items on the shelf. I think the room could do with a touch of paint in places, but the deco was lovely and colourful. I the negatives definitely wouldnt stop me booking again.

Absolutely everything, we had a room in the garden & it was stunning, it had free toiletries which were gorgeous, the room itself was a good size, you can make tea & coffee in the room. There is an honesty bar in the main building which we used, the breakfast was incredible, there was also a great selection of cereals, pastries & juices. The staff were lovely & really helpful & friendly. The Townhouse is so close to the shops, river & beautiful parks. The car park for the hotel is literally just across the road it was perfect & not ridiculously expensive either. We will definitely be back it was so peaceful.
There was nothing I didn't like, I was more than happy with everything.

Excellent breakfast, so much choice. Loved the two lounges and the honesty bar was a good idea although it would have been better if there had also been something like a Nespresso machine for tea and coffee. Everywhere spotlessly clean. The hotel was in a really good position, close to restaurants and the river for the riverside promenade.
Although it was a "king" room, it wasn't as roomy as I expected because a big corner had been taken off it to make the en-suite. The main disappointment was the electric shower, trying to adjust the flow and temperature. For the standard of the hotel an electric shower seemed a poor choice.

We didn't have breakfast, just the room, but there were so many lovely cafes around that we didn't need it (the Market Cafe is highly recommended!). The room was really comfortable and it was great to have the opportunity to make tea and coffee. Lovely throws on the bed to snuggle under while reading a book! And the location could not have been better - right in the centre and we could easily walk to everywhere. The staff were great on helping us orientate ourselves and giving us recommendations for things to see and do.
There's no parking at the property, but they let you know that in advance and there are two big carparks within a stone's throw so it's not an issue. There's no lift so if you're infirm the stairs could be a problem, but they weren't for us.

Like staying with family or friends 🧡 all the staff attentive and helpful without being intrusive. The rooms are spacious and warm. Everything works!! Beds (I stayed two different times)very comfy but I prefer a firm mattress, so check on arrival if you don't. Breakfast was so good, I opted to include it in my stay. Very good value. I had freshly cooked Shropshire breakfast every morning and price also included items in the continental section. Location is only a short, pleasant walk to absolutely every interesting thing in Shrewsbury.
There is only parking available in the public parking close by. It isn't expensive £1.20 per hour from 8am until 6pm and then it is free. I only needed my car to come into Shrewsbury and leave at the end of my stay. Factor in the extra cost, if, like me you enjoy hilly walks

Before I even arrived, the staff were attentive, ensured they knew that I had the details to enter the property ( I was arriving late and needed a pass code). Once I arrived, it was beautifully laid out, easy to access (lounge , bar , etc), very clean and beautifully decorated. My room was perfect - very clean, comfortable and again, well decorated. Loved it all. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and served quickly
Some noise from the street below between 9 and 11pm as there are a few local bars but the noise died down and I didn’t even hear it after I fell asleep in such a comfortable bed!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Fabulous location. Nice inner garden. Dog friendly.
In a 'garden room' - very dingy: poor natural light and somber decor. The provided room lights were likely eco bulbs so could only read in bed by taking shade off bedside lamp. Shower a little feeble and slightly tricky to regulate temperature. Room too hot at night (even in March) so only way to cool was by opening ground floor window. This looked onto the inner garden which was not secure - anybody could walk into it from the street. Double room only just big enough for one smallish comfortable chair. Overall thought room was a little over priced at 370 pounds (including 50 pound dog charge) for 2 nights.

Great location, although not actually in the center of Shrewsbury, all areas very accessible with a short walk. We had a King room which was very comfortable on the first floor. The honesty bar in the down stairs lounge is a bonus for a night cap, help yourself to all kind of soft or alcoholic drinks and snacks, simply write down what you had and it is paid for when you check out. (not silly hotel prices either!) Amazing breakfast, cooked to perfection freshly and delivered to your table quickly.
Pillows a bit too soft for me but that's just personal preference, you cant please everyone! Weekend went too quickly (cant blame anyone for that!)

Really welcoming staff in great location and wonderful decor. Very comfortable bed. Quiet room with good in room tea and coffee. Lovely garden and breakfast room.
Shower was blocked. TV did not work and blinds fell down on us. Luckily, in the morning if it happened at night it would have resulted in poor night's sleep, as a lot of ambient light outside. Breakfast selection was excellent but ran out of yogurt (someone could have nipped out to get some) and our eggs were all hard. They were re done when we asked but all of my plate was overdone which was a shame as nice ingredients.

Everything was excellent with the property
Nothing to do with the property but I have just received a parking ticket for the ncp car park. This car park doesn’t give out tickets or receipts and the card machine was so faded you couldn’t read it. Complained to ncp telephone so called help line at the time of parking and they couldn’t tell me whether I had paid or not. This unfortunately has put me off ever coming again. What a shame, it was such a lovely experience apart from the parking. I wonder how many more people have been caught out.
