Buffet breakfast

Everything was pretty good but after spending £240 to stay I was pretty disappointed that we had to pay more just to go for a swim, usually this was included previously, I think it was ridiculous to charge more after paying so much for a swim, this should be part of the service,

Excellent receptionist at the time of check-in. Had a slight issue with the room due to having dogs with us. The person behind the desk was superb and managed to change the room for us to our satisfaction. Breakfast was quite nice and would actually recommend booking with your stay. Good selection and they kept on replenishing on a regular basis when things were about to run out.

We found out from the information in the room that the use of the pool has a charge and you have to book a slot which meant that we had no time to use it due to only staying for the night on this occasion to this hotel.

The hotel was very impressive...lovely drive up to a grand entrance. The reception was spacious and Sophia was very helpful and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed using the pool and it's facilities. The bar was very trendy and welcoming.

The food and drinks I found just a tad over priced. Unfortunately for us there was a wedding taking place when we stayed. .this wasn't a problem until the hours of 12-2 am when people were leaving and congregated at the front of the hotel to get taxis...which is unfortunately below where our room was. It would not stop me staying again....I'd just request a room towards the back of the hotel if any functions were taking place.

A nice welcome and the scent as you walk into reception is very nice. Love the world clocks and all the Christmas decorations. The layout is nice with a sofa or comfy chair around every corner. Really like the chill lounge area outside of the main bar.

Nothing with the property itself, just needs to be a firmness over no under 16s in the spa area as one family completely ignored the signs and were letting their children climb about in the sauna and splash about in the jacuzzi while other over 16s were waiting patiently for their turn. The jacuzzi could also do with being larger.

lovely rural grounds friendly staff clean comfy rooms

The lack of car parking on smooth ground and no safe footpath to wheel trolley case. We had to park on very rough ground as the main parking areas were all full. There is no path from car parking area to the hotel so in the dark you and sharing the carpark road with the cars. We saw a family with young children having to walk in the road area with all their bags too We didn't like having to pay extra for quick morning swim

The property was clean and well maintained. It was furnished well, was warm and cosy, really inviting. Our room was lovely, 454. The staff were friendly and professional, attentive. I chose this hotel because of the pool. A session in the pool with jacuzzi, lovely steam room and sauna was £5 and well worth the money. This includes a fresh towel. You do need to book your time slot. It was quite quiet at the hotel so I just called the spa and asked to swim whenever I wanted. It was lovely x

Nothing at all, it was perfect.

Facilities, room, surrounding area, friendly staff, good price. The pool was a bit smaller than I thought from pictures but is still a decent size. The jacuzzi and steam room was good too. The actual room I stayed in was great, plenty of space and very clean and tidy.

The restaurant stopped serving an hour before usual closing so my friend and I didn't get to order food and instead we had to drive miles away to get some food. If a big event is planned on certain days and the hotel know about it (which they did as it was fully booked) then they need to get more staff and also get more food in ready for everyone coming.

We actually stayed at this hotel for 2 nts booked through different booking agents. The first night we booked directly with the hotel and 2nd through Booking.com. It is a nice hotel, the staff were friendly, the rooms were spacious and the breakfast was good. The room on the 1st night was better than the room on the 2nd night. However the price was cheaper with Booking.com on 2nt and it included breakfast for 2 adults and 1 child.

We stayed for 2nts total in a family room. 3 adults and 1 child. The first night we book directly with the hotel and the room was on the 3rd floor which was much nicer than the 2nd night in terms of cleaness and cosyness. Very similar on the 2nd night better price but had an interconnecting room which meant that next door could hear us joking and laughing. They knocked and told us so. We received a good price for a family room which accommodated 4 people (3 adults and 1 child) including breakfast but when we arrived we were asked to pay for the 3 adult which was fair enough but not clear on the website. However, the continental breakfast was good.

Plenty of space in the room. Bathroom bedroom and liveing room. Was clean and relaxing. Not too much noise from other guests either. Spa facility was nice relaxing quiet during are visit. Reception was nice beutifull flowers at the front and always smelt nice when walking through to enter or leave. Not much of a golf player but other guests seems to enjoy that part of the experience.

The room came with two tvs which is nice but the TVs are the same make and the remote Work on eachother, therefor we assumed other rooms have the same brand of tvs also. We never planned on being in the room much anyway but we used the front room TV on arrival and it kept turning itself on and off. its either haunted or other guests are turning eachother tvs on and off which I found amusing. We ended up disconnecting the TV as it kept turning on and off when we was trying to sleep. The bedroom one worked fine however so never really was that much of a problem. It Stayed turned off when not needed. Other than that we noticed a funny smell when arriving in the room. It never went away but you do get use it and not notice it over time, especially if you use the fan.

Based on the price point, I was very pleased with the size of the room, the fact there were numerous toiletries and the overhead shower was good. My expectations were a lot lower considering other reviews. I stay for one night in s lot of hotels in the South of England and I have certainly paid £30 more pn for much worse. All in all I was pleasantly surprised.

The quality of the tv is poor. It is not intuitive to operate and very, very slow to respond. The picture quality is also poor. The corridor carpet outside the room is tired and stained.
