There is nothing but praise for this venue/accomodation. The staff are absolutely brilliant nothing is too much for them . The venue itself is fantastic , very clean and so so welcoming ... The decor is fantastic too . The food is superb, IV never had a bad meal here and we have had a few always consistently beautiful . The hotel again , nothing bad at all to say everything was perfect, the room was beautiful, exceptionally clean, the decor was beautiful this should be a four star ⭐ it's excellent , the decor throughout the building is beautiful. The staff as I said above are exceptional they go above and beyond in everything they do. Breakfast this morning was beautiful , lovely coffee too really enjoyed. Had two functions there this week and every single person on each night thoroughly enjoyed it . We will be back and definitely staying again too !, Thanks you Tredegar Arms for a fabulous night (both nights )

There was nothing to dislike it's perfect every aspect of it is 100% positive

Very friendly staff. Very helpful. Great food including breakfast. Went the extra mile and put my motorcycle inside where it was safe. Great location for exploring the Brecon Beacons.

Central Tredegar is very noisy until the early hours of the morning. Cars racing up and down the road and people shouting in the street. We were told by the locals more than once that if we left the motorcycle outside then it would be stolen. Big Police station just around the corner but absolutely no sign of any police presence. Very sad that such a great Hotel is compromised by anti social behaviour (but no suggestion of violence) and the prospect of loosing my transport.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, presented well. I was nice having a sofa to sit on rather than a chair. the TV was moveable so could be watched from the sofa or the bed. Bedding was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely.

Noise, through no fault of the hotel. It was a very hot day, the room was hot. So I had all the windows open to try and get the cooler night air into the room. Due to the location of the hotel being in the centre of the town. When people were kicked out of the Wetherspoons over the road at closing time there was a group of people loitering and shouting etc for maybe half an hour after. Also the odd car driving passed in the night. This would have been reduced if I had the windows closed.

Great value for money and the onsite food was delicious (both in restaurant in the evening and breakfast in the morning). Staff were very accommodating

Although it says parking is available to reserve, I didn’t get a response on the request through booking.com and couldn’t get through on the telephone on the one occasion I called. We were able to park on the street outside which luckily worked as we checked in late and parking is free after a certain time and on Sundays so it worked ok for us. Also no gluten free alternatives offered on menu and at breakfast only dairy milk, we asked and no alternative milk was available.

The staff were a credit to the hotel. Very friendly and helpful. The room was decorated very well, far nicer than I was expecting and the bed really comfortable.

The lights in the room were very dull, very difficult getting ready, the mirror the other side of the room to the dressing table. The radiator was barely warm and behind the dressing table, although a heater was provided. The television didn’t tune in to any channel other than a foreign one and a shopping channel.

Wonderful place with very accommodating, generous and helpful staff. Nicely updated and spacious interior (top floor - family room). Lovely breakfast and dinner which weren't oversized unlike so many places these days. We felt the hotel was amazing value.

No fault of the hotel but the chimes of the clock tower at the roundabout could disturb a light sleeper and there is considerable noise from outside until and beyond pub closing time, im guessing its worse in the summer holiday season so recommennd you bring earplugs.

Lovely rooms very clean. Excellent bar area and pool bar with snooker table. Restaurant available too. Staff very helpful. Beautifully decorated throughout cosy and comfortable. A great breakfast plenty of choice.

A minor point I had no bedside table and pillows a bit bumpy but it didn't spoil the overall stay. Perhaps a mention when booking that you might need to book evening meals when booking as we would have eaten there but there were no tables free. Pre-order breakfast not ideal. Would like to see some sort of fruit but still it was very good value and enjoyable.

From check-in to departure, everything was perfect. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, once checked in we were told how to get to our room on the 1st floor. Room was immaculate and beautifully furnished, bed was spacious and bathroom was beautiful too with a massive walk-in shower, toiletries, and towels. The room had tea/coffee making facilities , coat hangers and a hair dryer in the desk drawer. We had a fabulous nights sleep, and went down early for breakfast. The host and chef were very accommodating to our breakfast requirements, and through conversation our vegan alternative full Welsh breakfast did not disappoint. It was superb. We had a walk around the area during the evening and had a drink in the pub opposite our hotel which was busy and lively... it was NYE so didn't expect any different. Overall, we had a fabulous time and would definitely love to stay again in the near future.

there wasn’t a night porter/ watchman no phone to call reception as we went to our room at 11.30pm and people in room next door we having a row which got to full scale row language disgusting and the girl was screaming which went on till after 05.00am resulting in neither myself or my husband getting any sleep and tried to find contact with someone in charge of hotel as my husband wanted to knock door but the man sounded so violent I was afraid he would have turned on my husband who is 76 but there was no one available I think we were the only 2 rooms occupied on our floor although hotel was excellent I would think twice about booking there again or even recommending it without having a contact number for situation like this

Very spacious and clean. The staff was amazing and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and very happy to change anything for your preference.

Just a few bits needs to make it 10/10 TV too far away which then means having sound up and that could affect the neighbours. Needs more lights Shelf to put your toiletries on and if the mirror in the bedroom is for makeup it needs to be lower as when you sit you can't see in it. So nothing bad just a few things to make it easier.
