The New Inn Greene King is an incredibly friendly venue. Every staff member than we had an interaction with was courteous and helpful. I cannot fault their customer service. The hotel and restaurant itself has I think been well used as you can see through the decor and furnishings. But for the money it is good value for the money. We had a disabled room which had a wet room, including shower seat and grab rails for shower and toilet. The room is wheelchair accessible and has a low level bed for ease of access. Although the reception's main door has a step there are several accessible entrances that are available. The restaurant provides a reasonable menu and there is a choice of vegetarian and vegan breakfast. Pricing is reasonable and like the hotel staff, restaurant staff were all incredibly welcoming and helpful.

Not a negative as such - but the shower is definitely a "power" shower. I had quite the shock when I went under it and it had a mind of it's own. But we had a good laugh about it afterwards.

We were very impressed by both the standard of cleanliness and the comfort oft the room. The only very slight surprise was the considerable firmness of the mattress which being the firmest we have ever encountered in dozens of hotels was a little bit more than my wife finds comfortable and yet I found it to my taste and slept very well although despite all this she did manage a good nights sleep.. However, we appreciate you can't please everyone and it most definitely wouldn't make is even hesitate to stay there again.. We were both very happy with our stay there albeit somewhat short.

Most of everything I liked the staff! What a lovely bunch of people, always there to take care of you! I contacted them when I booked as I have mobility issues and I got a room that was absolutely perfect for my needs. A good clean room and polite and friendly staff is what made my stay a good one! Parking was available at all times, a small convenient store is located at the next building and it is just 7 minutes drive to the ICC.

The fire alarm waking me up very early one morning - not the property's fault and YAY we were safe. But who ever smoked in their room - shame on you! The place is a bit dated.

Convenient location, not far off M4. Huge car park. Friendly reception staff. Comfortable room, warm and very clean. Radiator that I could control temperature in the room. Bath with shower over that I did struggle a little bit on how to use the shower. Big head and small shampoo head that didn't work well. Big television screen on wall in front of bed. Bed was a little hard for me but I slept OK, nice and quiet. Was good to be able to have food or a drink in Hungry horse attached. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Lovely staff everywhere. Good service. I will definitely stay again. Recommended.

Not clear instructions on how to order breakfast on 1st day. No one around in bar/restaurant. 2nd day, Everything had been cleared away when I went for breakfast at 8:30.But I was told breakfast was 7am to 9am.I did get breakfast but continental choices were gone. Sausage a little undercooked and fried egg undercooked, a runny white.

The staff were friendly and efficient, I do like a quick check in. The car park was plenty big. The room was pleasant and the bathroom was good, except the basin took ages to drain and because it was a flat bottomed one, it never really did, properly. The shower was good also. The Hungry Horse adjoining was convenient for getting fed and watered even if its not your usual go-to.

I don't know if anybody has ever invented a quietly closing hotel door, but if they have it was not attached to my neighbours door, He must have barged in and out of his room twelve to twenty times during the evening, cant something be done to reduce the noise of other peoples' doors?

Great location for Newport. Easy drive, just off M4 junction. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Plenty hot water for bath or shower. Bed comfortable. Its on quite a busy road, so road noise can be a problem if you're in a room facing the road, and want the window open. The rooms at the back look out onto car park and are much quieter. Also good to have a bar/hungry horse restaurant attached. There's also a Garage +/spar shop next door.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Due to being Christmas, plenty of towels, toilet rolls, tea and coffee etc were available on reception for us to help ourselves to when staff were absent. A great idea. Plenty of electric sockets in the room, with usb ports.

Bathroom sink and shower took a long time, running a lot of water away before being warm enough for a shower, especially later in the day. It was ok, but might not suit everyone.

The receptionist was lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The tv worked and the coffee & tea provided was well needed. We slept really well on both nights. The bathroom was clean with a lovely hot shower. Overall, a very good location and very good value for money. It was a bonus that our two small dogs were allowed in our room.

Food was not good. We eat in the restaurant on the first night but it was awful. The tables were not cleaned down after the previous people, the staff were busy and ignored us till we went to the bar to order. Our wine glasses were given to us dripping with water. Food was abysmal. The fish and chips and macaroni cheese were dreadful. Greasy batter on the dry fish and the macaroni was just a lump of white on a white plate! Both dinners looked unappetising and tasted as they looked. Very disappointing! We didn't eat again here but this is an issue as the hotel is someway out of Newport so to have dinner the following night we had to travel into town. This is at least 6 miles but we were rewarded with super fresh pizzas, salads and excellent wines!

All staff , both in the hotel and the attached restaurant, were friendly and helpful. They were attentive and always ensured I had what I needed and offered help. The room was comfortable and the bathroom in particular was clean and I loved the shower(s)! It was a perfect distance from ICC venue that I was attending over the weekend and I was also able to talk a good walk out in to the countryside. Just PERFECT!

Nothing - it was perfect for my stay

The lady in reception was fabulous! Very friendly, kind and informative. She had a permanent welcoming smile 😁 Our room was a twin and although small it was sufficient. The main light was a tad too dark in the bedroom (perhaps change the bulb?) but the light in the bathroom was good. Our room was situated at the front with customer cars parked immediately outside our window, thankfully (despite my concerns) it did not cause a disturbed sleep - although a hire car was there and someone sat in it with the engine running for at least 30 minutes, but I was already awake thankfully. I loved the shower mirror being non steam, so many hotels do not have this. We are regular travellers to this area and this is always our first choice of accommodation, however not always available, which shows that others are very happy with it too. Thanks to all the staff - especially our receptionist who is a star 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🤩
