Reception staff very knowledgeable and pleasant.

Breakfast in the sports bar. Be aware your having your breakfast in amongst all the leisure centre users. It’s very hectic and noisy, leisure centre users are getting their refreshments in amongst you. Also breakfast items had to be replenished at the request of the guests. I personally think the staff should be constantly checking for shortages and topping up. Not the guest asking for glassware, coffee machine being topped up. Hot food items absent. Please note the staff at breakfast are extremely pleasant they just need better organisation. The hotel are in the process of having a new restaurant built and hopefully this will alleviate the above problems and a more pleasant experience for guests.

clean and beautiful surroundings

bed was very hard and uncomfortable. dinner was very disappointing. I asked for prawns as a main course instead of a starter and was assured that they could do this but a starter potion was brought. I asked for this to be changed to something different, my friend had to eat alone whilst mine was prepared and then I was asked to pay for it before I’d even had it! never heard of this before. mains were not nice, a spicy chicken noodle salad and an halloumi noodle salad. just hard uncooked chopped cabbage/ kale with basic noodles on top, no dressing apart from a squirt of bottled sriracha on one. we were looking forward to a nice meal in the evening, unfortunately didn’t happen and we weren’t offered anything else when we brought it to attention of waiter

Really pleased with the facilities at this hotel. The gym was fairly large with lots of new and varied equipment including space to do weights, sit ups, press ups etc. There was a very good size pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. I had the steak for dinner which was delicious. Breakfast was good although I think this could be improved with an increase in the amount of hot food on offer. The bread was good quality farmhouse type bread rather than Warburtons. Unfortunately the electric charge points weren’t working but the manager helped me out which I was really grateful for. Supposedly there are plans to install 10 new ones. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

I LIKED EVERYTHING AND WILL RETURN NEXT YEAR. 1X DISLIKE - EVENING RESTAURANT MENU- TOO LITTLE TO CHOOSE FROM. THATS WHY PEOPLE GO ELSEWHERE, ON MY 3RD NIGHT I WAS THE ONLY 1 PERSON IN THERE. THE STEAK HAD RUN OUT ON NIGHT ONE, I WENT OUT ON NIGHT TWO, TRIED THE RESTAURANT NIGHT THREE AND HAD STEAK WHICH WAS AWFUL, PRESENTATION WAS AWFUL, CHEAP CHIPS SERVED AND YOU CHARGE ALOT OF MONEY. WOULD NEVER EAT IN RESTAURANT AGAIN. SEVICE WAS EXCELLENT THOUGH. THATS WHY I DIDN'T COMPLAIN. , REGARDS HAYDN.

Restaurant - evening time very poor menu, poor food with high prices. Won't bother next time.

Loved the location. So much to explore didn’t even bother with the gym just went for a run outside. Felt safe exploring the surroundings as well. The facade wasn’t what we expected neither was the lobby but when we got into the room it was gorgeous and so comfortable and relaxing! Lovely and clean. Gorgeous shower! Windows with beautiful views. The bed was so comfortable Hubby and I had a lovely night sleep. It was also nice of them to have given us an anniversary card and bit of decoration in the room and a free drink at the bar! Will definitely stay again!

The bacon at breakfast were a bit overcooked and so were some of the sausages.

The parking was great. When we arrived, check in was easy. We took the kids in to the pool and it was brilliant. There were so many toys and floats around that kept the kids happy for a long time. The room was big and comfortable. Plenty of towels etc.

The TV options were limited. From this level of hotel we had expected to be able to sign in to our Netflix account or something.TV also couldn't be seen well from the kids sofa bed. There were two green lights in the night. One seemed to be on the air con and one on the ceiling but they were very bright and kept me awake. The lighting for the mirror in the main room and bathroom was bad. Not sure if a mirror could be added to the desk area. Only two glasses, bottles of water etc when 4 people are booked in to the room. All small things and would stay again.

I have stayed at the hotel several times as it is very convenient for our UK office. The reception and bar staff are very helpful, the rooms are really nice and very comfortable, the hotel is quiet, the bathrooms are spacious with lots of hot water and the health club facilities on site are excellent. I particularly love the pool, steam and sauna. The food quality has improved considerably since I last stayed a year ago - new menus and just much better quality all round. The food used to be consistently bad.

I did not have any telephone reception at all in my room (on O2 or Vodafone networks) and the wifi dropped in and out making phone calls and zoom meetings from the room very challenging. I had to leave the premises more than once to make calls or hold meetings.

The spa facilities were really good, the pool, sauna, hydro suite and steam room. All inclusive in cost. Staff were helpful at reception and in the restaurant for breakfast Location was good and free spacious parking. Breakfast range is small but was good enough. The vegetarian sausages not nice very mushy. Room wasn't the biggest but comfortable with storage and plenty hooks to hang clothes. Good heating in rooms and window could open a little.

Vegetarian sausages. Bathroom sink grime could be seen in corners like rust could have been cleaned away.

Smooth checkin, etc. Room was comfortable, not overly large, but had the main things you're looking for (except a bath in this instance). Complementary water, tea/coffee (even decafe) & biscuits. The aircon had a rather independent attitude. The swimming pool & sauna are amongst the best I've experienced at a hotel. The pool is definitely big enough to swim (18-20 metres??) in & had proper lanes (although why OAPs think that swimming breaststroke, two abreast, constitutes "fast swimming" is beyond me). The sauna could have been a little hotter but could easily fit c8 people. There's also a hand car wash service if you want to pamper your motor while there.

The cooked breakfast needs improving - keeping the fried eggs out under the heaters until they're like dried up sunflowers is never a good idea.

Great reception staff (thank you!), room was a little chilly when we first arrived but soon warmed up. The pool was fantastic - a little crowded in the morning, but no more so than expected.

Breakfast was pretty disappointing - not expensive, to be fair, but the quality of what was on offer was poor. The hot buffet had been left out under the hot lamps too long - the bread for the toaster was presented in rather unappetising blue plastic bags and the fruit salad regrettably didn't taste of fruit. The availability of fresh fruit (e.g. bananas) would have been a nice addition.
