Breakfast good, included - variety of cooked options, and coffee/tea. Served to table in pleasant cafe/pub or at tables on the quiet market place outside. Large family room (no 1) above the pub, quiet and clean Lovely staff Good food Comfy beds

Green light on ceiling shining down towards double bed - staff sympathetic but said as it was fire alarm related they didn’t think anything could be done. Didn’t worry my husband. It didn’t affect the single bed so I ended up sleeping on that. Took us a while to locate the hotel, it’s in pedestrianised part of market square (with postcode, satnav took us to theatre st, which runs behind it) Put in Rose and crown Warwick instead, for directions to two 30min parking meter slots next to hotel.

We stayed at the Rose and Crown for one night following a visit to Warwick Castle and it was an easy drive from there. It was a charming pub and our room above was a great size, beautifully decorated and very quiet. The location was great as it is just of a small 'town square' that was walking distance for drinks, shops and food options. The included breakfast was delicious as we had full choice from the breakfast menu which isn't always the case at other places and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again if we ever go through Warwick.

The only down side was that there was no lift, but we knew that before we booked and didn't mind. It just may be difficult for those that have mobility issues trying to get luggage upstairs

I loved the location as it was right in the centre of Warwick & within walking distance of The castle & Warwick race course. The room was huge & very comfortable with a lovely restaurant & breakfast if you wanted them. Staff were lovely. The price was exceptional & I wished I'd booked direct rather than through a booking site as I would have got an even better deal. Defo would stay again!

It's only a small thing but there is no parking so if you are going then do a bit of research of where to park. We found somewhere quite easily but do recommend asking the hotel for their suggestions. Also, if you have mobility issues the stairs are steep as it's an old building.

Lovely large bedroom with double bed, sofa, small desk and chair, and a wardrobe for your clothes. There was an iron and ironing board in the room too and the tea and coffee-making facilities were replenished each day; plus cookies too. There was a nice supply of shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom; all in refillable aluminium dispensers instead of the wasteful plastic pots found in most hotels. Breakfast was very nice with an excellent selection on offer. All of the staff that we saw and interacted with were very friendly and approachable.

The bath became very slippery when getting out after using the shower, I think the shower gel supplied leaves a residue in the bath that if not rinsed off thoroughly before getting out could cause a slip and injury. Supplying a simple bath mat would solve the problem.

We liked the bed and breakfast was near all the amenities, the room was lovely and clean, plenty of tea and cofee making facilities provided. The b and b was set in a nice quiet location. The food at the rose and crown for breakfast and dinner was superb. The staff at the Rose and Crown, were all very happy, seemed to love their jobs and were all very accommodating to all of our individual needs especially our little girl who's only 2.5 . She was always made a fuss of! We would definatly come again, we thought it was a great B and B and was well worth the visit.

We had 2x flights of stairs to go up and down to get to the room, we had a child and pram. But we wouldn't say we didn't like it, we just didn't mention this when booking.

I would probably class the Rose and Crown as a Gastronomic Pub. The room we stayed in was in a separate building just around the corner. This was a large really well furnished room and very clean with a walk in shower. Overlooking the square there was a market being set up for the following day. We expected some early morning noise but there wasn’t any. Plenty of choice for breakfast in the main building. The hotel doesn’t have a car park but there is one some 3 - 5 minute walk away. Centrally located it is excellent force, exploring Warwick.

Location perfect for our city stay where we attended a wedding and also Warwick Races. The breakfast menu, quality, service and taste were all excellent. We stayed in room 11 and it was a spacious room, unfortunately a large part was occupied by a double bed sofa that had been left out, we folded it back up but the floor needed hoovering underneath. The arm on the dressing table chair fell off when my husband sat down so this needs attention. The decor and style are modern but need a refresh. The bathroom was great, super clean and had a double wash-hand basin, roll top bath and separate shower which had plenty of hot water, also the shampoo and soap products are really lovely too. We have stayed here before several years ago and would definitely return next time we are visiting Warwick.

The door closer on the front door from the street needs tightening as we returned to find the door open which wasn't very good for security.

= The hotel is in Warwick town center, conveniently located - animate enough but quiet at night. = Apparently there is public transport as I saw bus stops, but we didn't see a bus either the evening we arrived or the next day as we walked around town. If you don't have your own transport, the train station is a 1.2km walk from the hotel (this is FYI) = The hotel itself consists of two old world buildings. On the first floor of one is the restaurant where breakfast is served and you can eat for the rest of the day and evening. We were accommodated in the second building, which is right on the square, no more than 50m from the other. = There are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants around, also the Warwick Museum is right in front at the square. = The room was not big, there was not space for many amenities, but it was clean, warm and cozy. = The beds were comfortable = The bathroom was large, very clean, bright and comfortable, has everything you need = Nice tea, coffee, sugar, milk, cookies, glasses, kettle, 2 bottled waters in the room = The staff were young people, attentive and helpful = Breakfast is à la carte = The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately we arrived late and didn't have a chance to have dinner there, but we had breakfast and everything was great. = The Warwick Castle is well close and is worth to be visited.

= The lack of an elevator can be mentioned as a small minus, as you have to climb steep stairs and this would be difficult if you have heavier luggage. But the buildings are old and I don't think an elevator would be possible. Just keep that in mind. = The people have really tried to make everything in these ancient buildings o'k, but I think the price per night is a little bit higher... Well, The Warwick Castle is over there on the hill ;)

The Rose and Crown itself was lovely, when I arrived to check in the staff were very welcoming , helpful and friendly. Room was lovely and warm, and tea and coffee in room lovely. Breakfast itself was fine, nicely cooked, the poached eggs and black pudding were perfect. orange juice was excellent - but didn’t need the ice for with breakfast.

Wasn’t really welcomed in the morning for breakfast - one waitress seemed a little down and unhappy. Service with a very forced smile! Coffee wasn’t very nice - bitter and watery and tasted like a very bad americano! Was expecting a nice European morning coffee with hot milk.

Great location in the market place. Characterful pub with friendly and efficient staff. Our room was very spacious and overlooked the market place. Everything was very clean and well equipped, and we weren't bothered by any noise from the bar downstairs. Good shower, lovely towels. Ate dinner in the pub - very nice burger/steak and ale pie. Breakfast was very good too; there were lots of locals coming in for breakfast on Saturday morning.

No real issues so I'm being picky here: a better window covering in the bathroom, some instructions for the heater (which was excellent once we got it going) and we really didn't like the fake and very strong fragrance in the stairs and landing but thankfully it didn't leak into the room itself. Again, it wasn't a problem, but the pub has no parking. We arrived in the evening so there was plenty of nearby on-street parking which was free until 10am.
