Breakfast wasn't provided and we didn't require it. Owners were very friendly and suggested places to eat, I am Vegan and my daughter is veggie but we didn't struggle, The indian restaurant next door was fabulous accommodating our dietary requirements. We enjoyed a lovely glass of guinness at the Pebbles tavern and a lunch at the East Key Kitchen. The only issue with any of the eateries was that you had to book,

We were in the Twin room at the back (which is the smallest room). The room is compact but has everything one needs & beds were very comfortable. There is Tea/Coffee & plenty of white & brown sugar + a kettle. You also have a small fridge where you'll find a pint of milk & 2 bottles of water on your arrival. The owners (Dave & Kim) are a fabulous couple & make you feel very welcome (almost one of the family). Nothing is too much trouble for them. Shower room was compact but having said that it was fine & the shower pressure was excellent. They also provide shower gel & hand soup as well as plenty of toilet paper, with clean bath/hand towels everyday. It's also in a great spot being in the village close to everything & the train station is only a short walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will be going back again. We can highly recommend The Mariner Guest House.

The shower room was rather small, one at at time but it was very usable.

The property is situated on the seafront in Watchet. We stayed in The Admirals Room which is upstairs facing the sea. The room was very spacious with a lovely carved wooden bed, bedside tables, a wardrobe and a small fridge which was very handy. A t.v . was situated on the wall and the breakfast table for two was centred in the window with tea and coffee making facilties and crockery, making mornings delightful watching the world go by. An added bonus was that each of the four rooms have their own parking space behind the property. The large bathroom also faced the sea with twin sinks, walled lighting, overhead lighting, W.C. plus a large shower which was great. Our hosts Kim and Dave couldn`t have been more helpful, they recommended places to eat and drink in the area and asked if there was anything else we wanted or anything they could do for us.

There wasn`t anything not to like about this Guest House. It was such a lovely friendly, laid back relaxing place to be.

The Mariner Guest House is room only (wasn't too clear about that on the booking site) and not serviced daily (which we prefer). Neither of those things distracted from staying there. We stayed in the Captain's Room with it's picture window looking across the Bristol Channel and the ever-changing sky. It was roomy, comfortable and clean with a good bathroom (double shower, no bath). There is a fridge in the room supplied with fresh milk and bottled water along with tea and coffee. It's perfectly situated near the harbour and easy to walk everywhere. There are cafe's nearby for breakfast - notably Chives which is very reasonably priced and the service is good. Oh and there is a free parking space behind Mariner's for residents.

Needs a plug socket near the mirror for using the hairdryer and a small chair in the bathroom would be useful.

Not often we're overwhelmed by accommodation provided but we had the 'Admiral's Room' Wow! More like a suite. Huge room, so big it had a table and chairs to use for eating. As this is accommodation only that was thoughtful. Tea, Coffee provided and there was a pint of milk and two bottles of spring water in the fridge. Then there was the en-suite which was as big again! Very efficient electric shower cubicle; no complaints about poor flow it was strong. Bonus was the room had a sea view. And Dave and Kim were so friendly and helpful. Watchet has pubs (one yards down the road) and a choice of cafés minutes away.

We stayed in the Admirals room for 2 nights. On arrival Kim came out to greet us and spent some time showing us the room and all the facilities, recommending places to eat etc, she could not have been any more warm, welcoming and helpful. The room itself is spectacular. Lovely sea view over the sea defense mural, binoculars provided in the window and you can see all the way over to Wales. There is a table in the window, with a little jar of coffee and a little jar of tea bags, not your usual tiny sachets, a lovely place to have a cuppa in the morning. There is a fridge in the room which was stocked with milk and bottled water. The bathroom is huge, with 2 sinks. But what made the stay for us was how warm and welcoming Kim and Dave were, we bumped in to Dave in the town and although he was busy with things, took the time to chat to us about the town and what to do, nothing was too much trouble for either of our hosts, which is rare these days. Watchet itself is beautiful, quiet and very relaxing, a real gem, i hope it stays that way!! 2 particular gems are Pebbles bar which is a tiny bar but has an amazing selection of drinks and was super friendly and the Bell Inn, where Samuel Taylor Coleridge wrote "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" both of which are a stones throw from the guest house.

Location was very good, not far at all from shops, bars, pubs, restaurants and the esplanade. The Mariner has its own free parking spaces at the rear of the property. Kim and Dave were very friendly and helpful, I was delayed arriving but this was no problem and Dave met me at 9 o'clock and gave me some suggestions where I could still get some food. I had the 'Admirals room' which had a nice sea view, and even a pair of binoculars to look at the ships and the Welsh coast. There is a fridge and kettle with tea and coffee provided and fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge. I'll definitely look forward to staying here again! Thanks Kim and Dave! Colin.

I don't have anything negative to say, it was all good.

My hosts Dave and Kim were very hospitable and did everything to make my stay a delight. I cannot find fault in any aspect of this lovely guest house. It was clean and fully equipped with all facilities; comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities, excellent shower and toilet room. Perfect location with sea view from my room and excellent pubs nearby, serving high quality food.

I cannot think of any negatives really!

Room only. Clean and comfortable room with no 'surprises' and super friendly and helpful landlord and lady. Excellent location with pubs and restaurants very near and a very short walk to the beach, Esplanade and harbour.

Little bit of noise from the extractor of the Indian restaurant next door but no smell and it didn't keep us awake. Landlord also apologized about a bit of noise from the fridge but again, it didn't really bother us.
