We've stayed here a few times but this is the first since some of the changes/renovations. An improved, even more relaxing lounge area, an exquisite dining pavilion with stunning views but losing none of its boutique charm. But the best by far for us was the new menu. We've eaten in many of the finest restaurants but that was the best 3 course dinner we've had in years. The presentation, the mix of flavours, served by the affable, relaxed but attentive and efficient staff. On top of that, the room was well-appointed with an extremely comfortable bed and a delicious waitress-served breakfast topped off a very enjoyable experience. We have never been in the summer but certainly will be this year!
We had to.leave!

Really comfortable and with a great location and super friendly and helpful staff. I had a minor issue with the wi fi in my room. When I mentioned it to Sarah she couldn’t have been more helpful in speedily offering me an alternative room. When I returned pm I found out it wasn’t just a room change but a super upgrade to a much larger room with a super sea view.Everywhere is spotlessly clean and the whole place has a friendly and homely feel.Unlike many “chain” hotels here you can see the difference the personal passion of an owner /manager makes.Well done to Sarah and her team and when I next visit Kent I won’t be going anywhere else
Doing a wet shave in a small sink makes for more work for the chambermaid…sorry!

My wife and I recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary at The Crescent Turner, and it was nothing short of magical. Nestled behind the picturesque Tankerton sea view, this bespoke hotel offers an inviting, warm, and friendly atmosphere that made our special occasion unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with thoughtful touches that set the tone for our stay. A beautifully presented plate of chocolates, elegantly adorned with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate sauce, awaited us alongside a chilled bottle of bubbly—a gesture that instantly made us feel special. The room was impeccably clean, with every detail attended to, ensuring maximum comfort. The staff at The Crescent Turner truly go above and beyond, and their attentiveness made our stay extraordinary. A particular highlight of our visit was Maria, who welcomed us with genuine warmth and looked after us with incredible care throughout our stay. Her dedication to ensuring we had the best experience was evident in every interaction. From accommodating our requests to adding those little extra touches that make a trip memorable, Maria was an outstanding host who made us feel right at home. The culinary experience was equally delightful. John and his breakfast team provided a morning feast that catered to every taste. The selection of cooked and continental options was both delicious and beautifully presented, ensuring we started our day on a high note. The Crescent Turner is truly a hidden gem, perfect for a romantic getaway. We’re already counting down the days until our next visit. If you’re looking for a place that combines charm, exceptional service, and stunning surroundings, The Crescent Turner is an absolute must. Highly recommended!

First of all, the staff. Each and every one of them were wonderful. Friendly, attentive and helpful. Could not fault a single one of them. I was asked to switch rooms after one night to help out a disabled guest which was fine and I was moved to a much larger room with a lovely sea view. The hotel has a wonderful view from the restaurant and adjacent terrace across the garden and countryside to the sea. In clear and sunny conditions it is very pretty. The restaurant is very good. I had breakfast and dinner and both were excellent and reasonably priced. Service was exceptional. Hotel is about 2 miles from Whitstable so it's a 40-45 minute walk each way if you don't want to drive and try and find parking. That said, if you can find parking it's 5 minutes by car.
The one thing lacking was a comfortable indoor lounge. There were some sofas in the reception area but that is quite dark. There are chairs and tables in the restaurant of course but that is, well, a restaurant. The outdoor terrace is lovely but if the weather's bad, there isn't really any alternative place to sit and, maybe, read or have a coffee in comfort other than go back to your room. But this really isn't a major complaint and didn't adversely affect my stay because the weather wasn't that bad for the most part.

The hotel has great character and charm. It has the most fantastic views over countryside and the Thames estuary. The staff couldn’t have done more to help us enjoy our stay. We phoned ahead to let them know we would be arriving shortly after the kitchen closed at 20:30. They suggested we could pre-order so the food would be ready when we arrived, which was very thoughtful and worked perfectly. All the staff we met were exceptional.
Our own silly fault - we found the pillows a bit too soft but didn’t think to mention it until we were checking out. If we’d thought to mention it, they could have given us some firmer ones!

The room was lovely and clean. The king size bed was great. The food was delicious and the view from the restaurant / bar was spectacular, overlooking Whitstable Bay. The service offered by all the staff was first class, nothing was too much to ask. The hotel even has charging points for electric cars which was great
The room, whilst comfortable lacked any where to put anything. Just one very small table in the bedroom, and nothing at all in the bathroom. The hotel could do with properly de marking the area where the car charger is, as a couple of times when I needed to charge my car they were occupied by non electric cars.

Amazing locations. Good view's. You can see and feel the sea.Located high on the hill which is hike away. Good service. Very efficient local cab driver transported us three times in a day! Very friendly staff and beautiful building. Old farm house. Large garden. We booked afternoon tea as well which was great. Local wines available.
Our room was dusty. Could be just that that it hasn't being in use for a while or winfiws been open for a while. My friend who I travelled with is a allergic to dust. So we mention this in the reception and this was dealt with immediatly. And I honestly thought that breakfast was included for the price of the room as we paid over £200 for the night.

Views from our room (room 7) were amazing
Clear bathroom window - please at least frost the bottom half then we wouldn't have to have the blind down all the time. Also the toilet seat needs changing. If you're going to have a white seat then it shouldn't be stained yellow. It was a bit noisy on the Friday and Saturday night due to a party and a wedding in the teepee in the garden. Was a shame as it was very hot and we couldn't have the window open. TBF they did ring me and tell me this was going to happen BUT only the day before so we couldn't cancel anyway without forfeiting the full amount for the room

My stay at The Crescent Turner Hotel was an exceptionally pleasant experience, marked by a series of admirable qualities that deserve commendation. Firstly, the level of cleanliness throughout the establishment was impeccable, meeting the highest standards of hygiene and orderliness. The meticulous attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the pristine linens to the spotless common areas. Moreover, the staff exhibited an exemplary blend of cordiality and professionalism. Each member of the team, from the receptionists to the service personnel, displayed a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction, providing assistance with a courteous and accommodating demeanor. The culinary offerings, particularly the breakfast, were a delightful highlight of my stay. The selection was both diverse and delectable, showcasing an array of well-prepared dishes that catered to a variety of tastes. The quality of the ingredients and the skillful preparation made for a truly sumptuous morning repast. In conclusion, The Crescent Turner Hotel excels in delivering a refined and hospitable experience. It is a destination I would highly recommend to those seeking comfort, excellent service, and a memorable stay.

Amazing location, Hotel is beautifully furnished and decor fresh and very stylish, comfy beds, lovely quality bedding and towels etc. We had a small balcony which was a bonus, and a fabulous view from our room. All staff were extremely attentive and welcoming, providing lots of assistance to our party, two of which were elderly relatives with mobility issues, staff did everything possible to help them which was lovely.
The only criticism I had was a lack of light meals in the evening - we had a big lunch before reaching the hotel, so were not in the mood for a full sit down dinner, the evening menu is based on the restaurant of course, which I completely understand, but it would have been nice for residents to be able to order a light meal such as a sandwich or toastie etc. we went to the local tesco instead and bought some sandwiches, so it was a good job I was able to nip out in the car, Didn't ruin the stay and I would not hesitate to recommend to others (which this knowledge in mind)
