Katie the host was very attentive and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. She was very welcoming and explained everything clearly. The whole place was immaculately clean and comfortable and with 2 small children to look after it is obvious that Katie works hard to maintain a high standard.

Although the farm is limited a rural spot, located between a busy main road and a railway line is not ideal if you want peace and quiet. Having said that it was much less noisy than anticipated. Breakfast was good; perhaps the odd berry or granola would enhance it. The bathroom could benefit from the odd hook for clothes/dressing gown/towel while washing and maybe a table in the bedroom would be useful. These are small observations but did not impact negatively on our stay.

Friendly hostess and good sausages for breakfast. The room had character and the location was quiet. When we told the hostess that the room felt cold, she immediately provided us with an electrical heater - but actually, after the central heating went on, the room was warm enough for the night.

No blackout blinds in the summer. Shower difficult to regulate, with water becoming either too cold or scalding. Sausages aside, the rest of the breakfast could be better. Difficult turn into the access road from the A-road when there is intense traffic. The bed was too soft and too bouncy.

The B and B is a beautiful and quirky building and the room was of a good size (we were upgraded to the standard double for no extra charge). The host was friendly and very helpful and attention was paid to many small details to ensure a comfortable stay. The cooked breakfast was of high quality and well cooked. We would definitely return when we are next visiting the area.

Not a lot to dislike. The access onto the main road might be difficult for some although we didn't find it a problem. The kettle could do with a slightly longer lead as the base kept falling off the table - easily solved and not a complaint.

There are many superlatives which can be used to describe our stay at ‘Fiddleback’. However, to be succinct; the overall experience was excellent. This was due mainly to the hosts (Liam & Katie), who run a very professional operation, whilst making us feel as though we were part of their family, as opposed to just paying guests. Keep up the good work and to quote from the eponymous Mr Schwarzenegger….”I’ll be back”…..Just for the record, the review I give is sincere and there has been no coercion by Katie (Chi Shugra), by way of any Romani ‘Draba’….Ask Katie what this means when you book into their establishment she will explain everything.

Fantastic B&B. Katie was a brilliant hostess and very welcoming. She messaged (proper text message too, not social apps, thank you, really appreciated that!) to make sure she knew what time we were coming. The room was large and lusciously decorated. Very comfy bed, everything was spotlessly clean: bedding, towels, floors. We had requested an iron/board, as we had an event to attend the next day, and she made sure it was in the room for us. Place was nice and quiet, even saw a bunny outside our window. Full English breakfast was absolutely delicious, eggs were perfectly cooked. Wished we were staying an extra night. The building itself is beautiful, would've loved to have a tour, but obviously understand it's Katie's home, not a museum. Completely blown away by our stay, would deffo stay again should we be in the area in the future.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like. If we could offer a few suggestions though, 1. The bathroom could do with a long wall shelf next to the sink for the toiletries. We ended up keeping ours on the dresser next to the telly, as the other choices were sink or toilet. It's a minor thing to add, but would make a world of difference. 2. There was a lovely open area just outside the dining room glass doors. Would've been fab if it was possible to have tables there and have breakfast outside.

It was a handy stop coming down from Scotland and somewhere with character rather than opting for a hotel at a motorway service station. House intriguing and full of character. Warm and friendly greeting - large room and garden to walk the dog. Large comfortable bed and all very clean and well appointed. Quick communication, very helpful catering for us being vegan and gluten free with delicious cooked breakfast which was greatly appreciated.

Beautiful old farm house immaculately kept. The bedroom was beautiful and lovely shower. We had chance to walk around the garden with our dog. Breakfast was done to perfection the only grumble I have was that we were asked to eat it in the lounge area off a low coffee table, not ideal as we had to bend down to eat it. This was because they didn't want us to take a dog in the dining room.

When we arrived there was some confusion over our room saying she had given our room to a man that had just arrived before us. Also we had a dog, which was why we choose the farm as it was dog friendly, which obviously not allowing him in the dining room was not. We had a small none moulting shipoo who is well behaved. We both didn't feel it was very welcoming and our host seemed a bit abrupt, or hassled.

We had a warm welcome on our arrival from Katie. Family room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated with views of the grounds. Beds were very comfortable. The sofa bed was nice and big too. Very dog friendly with access to grounds for dog walking. Kids woke to see rabbits playing outside the window. Breakfast was exceptional. Good quality and decent portions with a proper butchers jumbo sausage. A great place to stay on our way to Center Parcs. We have recommended to friends already.

Nothing at all.

I loved the amazing country surroundings and it was nice to sleep where you were not woken up by banging doors, as in Hotel corridors. Loved the roundhouse and the quirky architecture reminded be of a Hobbit House. I made a note to put down small portion for the Full English breakfast as i didn't want to waste any food, it was lovely and so much to choose from.

Nothing to complain about.

The property was quirky and situated perfect to break up our journey from the South to the Highlands. The layout of our 2 rooms was perfect, down some small stairs which was private and meant I could relax with the kids talking etc. we even had a card game together in the little lounge area. Lovely outside area for the dog to stretch his legs too. Breakfast was 10/10. Thank you!

Absolutely nothing. We’ll definitely be returning.
