Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was our anniversary and they put petals on the bed and a bottle of Prosecco in our room which was a lovely touch. Room was spacious and clean - we stayed in room 6 (Shute) and we loved that we got breakfast served in the room. Breakfast was excellent, especially the pancakes! Excellent location in the middle of both Windermere and Bowness (15 minutes walk to both). Great value for money.

Had such a lovely stay at Rum Doodle - was even given a glass of wine by the owner within minutes of arrival! We had a bath in our room which we took full advantage of - was so relaxing. Good location to drive around the town and walk to and from dinner in the evening. The bed was super comfy - slept like a baby! And the breakfast; my lord, it was delicious! My partner had the eggs and salmon while I had the pancakes. Both were delicious. Thank you so much Rum Doodle for such a lovely stay

Our stay at Rum Doodle B&B was delightful! The rooms are cozy and beautifully themed, with thoughtful touches that make you feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of fresh, locally sourced options. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the lake and local attractions. The hosts were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay…including glass of wine on arrival & balloons to celebrate our anniversary. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Lake District!

-The rooms aren’t very soundproof -Wasn’t a problem for us but be careful the road / car park access is steep

It was beautifully decorated and situated. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and professional. The room was gorgeous, the bed was the comfiest we’ve slept in in ages. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel was situated in a quiet road. The parking, although tight, was perfectly manageable.

Couldn’t think of a thing to not like about Rum Doodle. The television in the room was a tad outdated and the speakers were quite tinny. But besides that it is an absolutely perfect place to stay.

The comfortable four poster bed and breakfast were brought up to the table in the room. Nicely set out table with a white table cloth. The breakfast was tasty, except for the over cooked bacon.

The blinds were a bit awkward to pull up and down, with thin string and big heavy blinds. Over cooked bacon was a bit hard. The cereals and cooked breakfast were brought up together, so by the time we'd eaten our cereals, the cooked breakfast had gone a bit cold. Difficulty parking on their car park, reversing up a steep driveway into a corner space next to the house and other cars.

Rum Doodle is a cozy little inn on a lovely quiet street, located about halfway between Windermere and Bowness. We stayed in room 5 which had a pleasant view, and the room and facilities met our needs. My husband and I agreed that the room and bathroom felt pretty tight in room 5, but it didn't detract from our stay. We felt the room was too small for the clunky 4-poster bed they have in it, and swapping out the bed to a slimmer frame would open up the space a lot. Breakfast was good, and most of the staff were very friendly. We also appreciated the spaces for parking, which was a big factor in booking this hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant stay in July, even if the weather wasn't cooperating with our hiking plans.

In room 5, there is hardly any space to walk around the bed where the corner of the bed meets the bathroom.

Upon arrival we had a lovely welcome and offered a cold drink. Shown to our room. A little smaller than expected, ground floor with four poster bed. Not much room to move between the bed and dining table. The room was clean as was the bathroom. Bit noisy with other guests above and coming in late at night. Breakfast was served in our room which wasn't expected. Didn't know this until our arrival. Breakfast was nice lots of choice. Pancakes a little over done but tasty.

Lovely spacious room. Very clean and everything needed was provided, plus extras such as dressing gowns. Beds were very comfy and extra heating was provided due to freezing weather. Nice little welcoming touches too such as mulled wine on our arrival were much appreciated Excellent breakfast both mornings Staff were very friendly and helpful, helping us shovel snow and were happy to let us leave our car there as the conditions were terrible due to snow. Great location very near and very walkable to both Windermere and Bowness on Windermere

The breakfast was amazing but some baked beans with the English breakfast would have made it perfect

My room was beautifully decorated and had every facility I love, including lovely fluffy towels, a cosy comfortable & clean bed and lovely quirky decorations. I loved it. The fact that my room was specifically available to have breakfast delivered to my room was perfect and the breakfasts were both delicious & beautifully presented. It was great to be able to pop my heater on when the evening got a little chilly & even the toiletries were luxurious too. I'll be back.... 👍

Nothing other than I had brought a few dvd's but don't think my bedroom TV had a dvd option. Then again I had the opportunity to watch a fab film on Netflix, something I don't have at home, so it was fine.

The breakfast was amazing,presentation great,cooked well.Had lots of choices on the breakfast menu to choose from.Staff where very helpful,polite,friendly. The Cleanliness was on top,tidy,no dust in site.. We had everything we needed in our room, well stocked with towels, all essentials needed.Bedding,pillows where pristinly clean.The big bath tub was very nice.

There was nothing we could complain about,nothing we didn't like.
