It’s well situated for the Windermere shops and supermarkets and not far to walk to the train station ( uphill ) and downhill to Bowness. The local bus stop is only a few minutes walk away, and the bus goes to towns along the lakes, every 20 minutes for a flat rate of £2 a trip. The guesthouse owner, Linda, is lovely, and couldn’t do enough to help, even providing a fan for my room which she had to reassemble. Chris also was very friendly and drove me to the station in the rain. The breakfast was superb. The bed was very comfortable.
The single room was very tiny especially the ensuite, but that’s reflected in the price and was manageable.

Loved loved loved staying at Linda's! This was a great BnB experience. We had a room for three people (a tiny room for one and a bedroom for two - together) and it was a nice setup. Everything the we wanted was in the room. It was great to get refills of coffee, tea and whatever else we wanted quite easily. The breakfast options in the morning were great and as vegetarians, it was amazing to be able to get nice hearty and warm breakfast. We had a very lovely stay here and would definitely comeback in a heartbeat.
We loved everything!

We were stuck in a snowstorm and had to abandon our car. We booked into one of the last rooms at Adams place. We were welcomed by the most lovely hosts, Chris, Linda, and Glen. They made us feel very comfortable and couldn't do more for us. We had only the clothes on our backs with us, I had no phone charger, so Linda kindly plugged it into her laptop for me at every opportunity. We headed into the town for dinner, Linda had put on a large pot of stew and told us if we couldn't get anything out to let her know as she had made plenty to go around. Thank-you so much Linda, Chris and Glen for your hospitality.

The breakfast was excellent-anything you wanted Linda complied with. Home cooking was really nice when you are so far from home. Linda made you feel you were at home. She sent me off on my Beatrix Potter Tour with a flask of coffee, which was so appreciated and enjoyed during a stop on the Tour. The position of Adam's Place was excellent-a short, enjoyable walk from the train station, even pulling luggage! Pats with Colin (gorgeous labrador) were a lovely bonus too.
There was nothing I didn't like, but to answer your question, it would have been nice to have a little fridge in your room-just an additional bonus when tired after a day's travelling to come back to your room and be able to snack on your stock of earlier purchases from the abundant food chains around.

I loved staying here. Linda and Chris made me feel very welcome and nothing was too much for them: I brought my bicycle which could be locked away securely. The breakfast was great (I tried nearly everything on the menu so can confidently state that!) and the overall location - close to the restaurant / rail way station - was excellent whilst it still being quiet. All together it made for the perfect stay.
There was nothing not to like.

My Father, son and I stayed at this lovely Guest House owned and hosted by Linda and Chris. Their warm, attentive service makes staying at Adam Place all the more lovely! We were sad to leave this place today. We stayed in the Scafell Pike room which is situated right at the top of the Guest House. The ensuite bathroom is compact, but functional for what you need during your stay and to be fair, you're likely to be exploring for most of the day anyway! The room has 1 double bed and 1 single bed which were comfortable and the room was a good size. On a clear day you can see Scafell Pike too! Adam Place is literally 10 minutes walk from Windermere station and under 30 minutes walk to Bowness where you can get cruise boats from Pier 1 to travel across the lake in your preferred direction. Adam Place is an ideal location! The breakfast had a good selection - I had the vegetarian full English breakfast. The locally sourced vege sausages were very nice indeed, soooo much nicer than what the supermarkets offer. Overall, I would recommend staying here and I hope to be back soon (with or without my Father and Son)! Thank you Linda and Chris for your warm, kind, attentive service.
Nothing to report, really enjoyed staying here.

Linda is such a lovely lady and nothing is too much trouble, her breakfasts are fantastic and very filling,I was able to drop off my luggage before check in which meant I could go off exploring. I was made to feel so at home. The location is perfect, not far from train station and bus stops and also shops and plenty of food places. I would highly recommend Adams place

The breakfast is delicious, milk, fruits, cereal are so fresh! Sunny side up, scrambled eggs are yummy. Oh and I’ve not even gone on to the toast :)…
Room can be a bit stuff so we had to open the door at times for the air to circulate. But it is a really minor issue - did not interfere with our stay at all. The location is great - hop and skip to Windermere town centre but minus the madness of Bowness.

We only booked for 2 nights but even so, Linda and Chris were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. The two rooms were plenty big enough and exceptionally clean with good quality bedding. I was very pleased that the third bed in the family room was an actual bed rather than a 'put-me-up bed'. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The location was very good; less than 10 minute walk to the town centre where there are lots of places to eat. I would definitely recommend Adam Place and would book again.
We arrived early afternoon and Windermere was heaving so we couldn't get parked anywhere! We ended up driving to Bowness for the afternoon where there's more parking. We arrived back at 6pm and luckily found a space just down from the guest house. The following day wasn't as busy so we managed to park without any problems.
