There was no lighting and no visible evidence of staff in the restaurant on Saturday evening, giving the impression it was closed. A major improvement could be achieved by the placing of low ambient table lighting. Bar staff were providing hospitality management with assistance from Reception when required. Apparently there is less demand for evening restaurant services at weekends. We required a meal for eleven people and the reaction of the team was to be commended as they couldn’t do enough to meet our needs. The buzz and obvious popularity witnessed at breakfast was a real contrast and highlighted the positive difference with the availability of waiting staff and restaurant management.

Cheerful welcome at Reception and overall decor gave a very pleasing introduction to the hotel. We had not stayed in this hotel before but we will certainly do so again. The room was a good size and very clean: very happy. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were most helpful in what was a pleasant dining area.

The young lady helping in the bar (late evening) clearly needs more training. She did not know that names of some well-known spirits and was not aware of the size of measure to use. However, the young man running the bar clearly knew his stuff and was courteous with both customers and his less-experienced assistant.

Room was upgraded to queen suite. Beautiful large room which was immaculate. Bed was super comfortable with soft sheets and pillows. Bathroom had a bathtub and shower, so you could relax either way at the end of the day. As it was in the middle of the town the accessibility to shops and restaurants was fantastic.

Only gripe was the door between our room and the adjacent. When the neighbour room came back at 12:30 am, they were so loud and you could hear them for ages. If that door hadn’t been there it would have been perfect.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. As a Hilton member I was upgraded for free. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean and had a fridge and kettle. The location is great, near the train station, shops and restaurants. I had a short trip to Paris, the hotel manager allowed me to leave my suitcase for 3 days (between my two reservations at this hotel), this helped me a lot. Big thanks to all the staff!

A standard Queen room doesn’t have a fridge but as I said before I was upgraded for free and my new room had a fridge.

From the moment you step through the doors, you are treated with the most amazing welcome. The staff are so polite and make you feel so welcoming. The reception staff were outstanding. Accommodating my sons needs. Anything that was asked, there wasn't a hassle at all. The room was a good size, clean, and beautifully presented. We had room service, staff delivered the food in a good time, she was smiling and happy, and again felt like we weren't any trouble. The food was outstanding. Breakfast was sensational. So much choice and the food was very tasty. I shall be returning to the hotel when I am next up that way.

Very clean, quiet and helpful staff.

My sister and I had a twin bedded room, bed was a bit hard, only one pillow on the beds no extra in the cupboards or blankets, felt the duvet was thin. Didn't think to ring down for extra. Food was varied, very well cooked but expensive. We are senior citizens and felt the use of the key cards weren't properly explained. But altogether we enjoyed our stay. For us we could have done with a 'greeter'. It was quite busy.

I would love to give a complement for the good service and a quick check in to Ralph in the reception. He is a star and you are lucky to have this kind of employee that exceed the customers expectation. However, theres a lady with a good coloured eyes, seems gray, and with long hair which is I find her rude, not just to me even to her colleague and she was working in the evening around 23:00 on the 2nd of November. She was not approacheable and so bossy. She think that she own the hotel, how she approached.

I use this hotel often. The room was clean, was nice and warm, taking in consideration that was cold outside. The breakfast was lovely. In the past I found that the staff needed more training in customer service, but this time I can see a massive improvement. The reception team was very welcoming and helpful and the member of staff who was overseeing the restaurant area during the breakfast was amazing.

Easy check-in, good breakfast, large room, absence of noises, parking at the basement otherwise big multi-level parking just aside. Near the main pedestrian streets of the city center with various restaurants and shops. Repainting the wooden frame of the doors of the bedrooms might give a fresh touch. However this is only a minor detail.

Call one of the the two lift of the hotel is quite an experience as the system seems not working properly (pass your card on the left one; it seems it works better). The parking was busy when I had to used it the second night so I was allowed to park in the multi-level one.

Checkin was excellent (came late night) and the evening staff went out of their way to assist me, though it was late (and the kitchen closed) they advised a way i could get food...i didn't sleep hungry! My problem become their problem...Thanks guys! Breakfast was good. Room was clean and tidy (never mind the old carpet as the rest overshadow it), the place is appealing, relaxing and pleasant. indeed, you get value for money.
