I was ill and the staff were very considerate, kind and helpful. Carlo, the General Manager, is very hands on; treats his staff and guests well. Shout out to Chris, night porter, for accommodating me. Absolutely beautiful, value for money Ham n cheese baguettes with chips, from day time menu.

£29 steak: mushroom covered in oil. Not worth the price. The lock to the Lodge is fiddly. Maybe put a sign up to instruct turning the key halfway. Better still, use automated key cards. The same for the rooms. Fiddly keys, with clunky, soft wooden do not disturb signs. The combination is cumbersome, if you're coming and going throughout the day and want to leave sign on door.

The suite was lovely and quiet, with a nice view of the garden from the living area and a comfortable king bed. The cooked breakfast was delicious and the staff attended us very quickly. All staff members were friendly and welcoming.

Please consider more hooks and shelves: - We had nowhere to put our wet coats (we didn’t fancy hanging them in the cupboard among our other clothes). It would have been nice to have somewhere to hang things in the entrance area. - Also, a mat to put shoes in the entrance area? Again, there was a lot of rain and muddy conditions, I’m sure this would save your carpet! - There was nowhere to put our toiletries, despite having a large bathroom. A shelf or small table would have been useful.

The breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from and served by a warm and friendly staff member.

There was nobody to greet us at reception on arrival and the door to reception was locked , it was a little uncomfortable as this was our first visit to this hotel and we had to go and search for a staff member to book us in.

Lovely welcome from receptionist - named Toni - I believe. She even showed us a room upgrade which was lovely of her but we do love room 2 which has been updated with new bathroom and this was really fabulous - the room had become a little tired but they have improved it so much now - thank you . The receptionist welcome was really appreciated by us .

Breakfast a little bland re cooked and be nicer to use local bakery bread re toast instead of cheaper sliced. Also nice to see Danish pastries returning - they are lovely Need more fruit salad type options for those who prefer not to have cooked breakfast

Friendly staff who were very helpful. Food delicious and well presented. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Very peaceful for a relaxing break

Charming rooms which was spacious but very tired looking it needed attention to table, the bed caster was missing which resulted in the bed base slightly uneven in height. Colour scheme very nice but the paint work needed completely redoing. Menu for evening dinner was very limited if staying more than two nights. The reception area was extremely cramped which gave the impression of awkwardness however the reception staff was very friendly and helpful

The staff were all friendly and helpful. We were pleased to see a fan in the room because it was a very hot day. Menu choices were varied on the evening menu. Parking was plentiful and near the part where we were staying and there was a lift to the first floor, much appreciated. We came for a quiet break and as it was Sunday/Monday we got one.

It’s not a question of we didn’t like the food, it was more that we thought little tweaks could have been made. The dinners were mainly tasty and well presented, though I had the same starter on both nights and the presentation was different on the second night. I guess it could have been a different chef or maybe they’d had a delivery of fresh produce? My husband’s meat was a bit chewy both nights The portion of smoked salmon at breakfast was very generous It would have been nice to have had a better quality bread for the toast at breakfast as The Dower House prices are not on the cheaper end of the scale. It’s a small thing to criticise but is the reason I didn’t give excellent for everything.

Staff were all exceptional and very helpful. The hotel has a lovely relaxed feel set in a fabulous location very close to the village of Woodhall Spa and some great shops and local walks. Room very comfortable and lovely bathroom. Food choices for the evening meal were good and the chef was very accomodating in adapting the menu to our needs. Breakfast freshly cooked.

Breakfast choices good if you want freshly cooked food, but very limited to mostly cereal if you only want continental style. Croissants did appear at the weekend. The bedroom (suite) lacked a few of the items you expect from the best rooms - perhaps a small fridge just to keep water cool /a box of tissues/more wardrobe space etc

It was very clean, comfortable, and staff friendly. The bathroom was beautiful. The bed was amazing.

The room was set up for single instead ofa couple, I had to go on a search for extra cups and glasses, no staff around, so I helped myself from the bar. The breakfast I was really looking forward too but it came out cold if we were not sat in a group of people I would of said, I hardly touched it yet when plates were cleared the staff did not ask if everything was OK.

Booked for a celebratory break and was not disappointed. Welcome was warm and friendly, staff were really helpful and couldn't do enough for us, down to providing us with suggestions on where to visit and were genuinely interested in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast and there was plenty of choice for both meals and the food was lovely and plentiful. We stayed in one of the suites which was clean and spacious and as the setting is outside of the town, saw plenty of wildlife including deer from the bedroom window. Had a lovely time and would certainly book again.

A pleasant hotel with just over 20 rooms. Spacious accommodation & nicely laid out bar, restaurant and breakfast room areas. Weddings can be accommodated in the function rooms & dome roofed folly outside. All the staff were extremely pleasant & keen to make sure everything was to our liking. The location is down a small lane surrounded by trees & golf courses so the area is nice and quiet, despite being within walking distance of the centre of Woodhall Spa. Good quality food & generous portions. I would happily use this hotel again.

Everything was very good. No issues at all.
