Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good and nicely cooked. Room was very spacious and clean with a massive comfy bed. Loved the little bottles of fresh milk in a fridge on the landing, for making tea and coffee in room. Comfortable lounge area for having a drink. We had our dog with us and he was well catered for - bowls of water by the door, washing sink outside, plenty of areas for him to toilet and bins provided. Key to outside door so easy to take him out when we needed to. Large car park and able to park near doors to the rooms so easy to unpack. A lovely 'oldy, worldy' feel to it.
Bathroom was clean and supplied with soaps and shampoo. Personally not too keen on a wet room but there was nothing wrong with it.

All of the food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent, as were the drinks (alcoholic or hot beverages). All of the staff were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to provide me with anything I asked for.
1. Although a nicely designed and fitted out room, there was quite a bit of black mold around the bathroom window and, to a lesser extent, the bedroom window. It is always going to be difficult to maintain the standards on an old property like this but it should be possible to put occasional deep cleaning of the window frames on the maintenance list. 2. The TV took an age to turn on and I was never sure if I had just turned it on or off during the process. I eventually worked out if it was on by pressing the mute button and seeing the on-screen mute symbol. I thiink it just needs a long time to respond to the remote control?? Some instructions for the TV would be useful.

First impressions were very good, easy to find good parking and welcoming friendly staff. The room was way above expectations being large, light and airy. Fan helped keep room comfortable during the night. The bathroom also far exceeded expectations. Breakfast was good and available between 8 & 9.30 so no great rush in the morning. Main menu offered good choice and quality was good. Although not dog owners we were impressed to see a dog/bike was area which I am sure dog owners and bikers would find useful after a day on the moors.
Yoke of Poached eggs were hard. I’m sure I could have complained and they would have done fresh ones.

The bed was very comfortable, could control room temperature to own requirements, and if wanted radiator on all the time you could. Room, good size, and T.V. great with "normal TV as well as Sky. Breakfast fantastic 😋 Very comfortable accommodation
The shower room was clean but the grout in tiles could do with a good bleach as well as shower head and shower pipe. Toilet leaked and toilet seat kept moving. I did tell a member of staff about the toilet.

We have stayed here a few times before. This is a fabulous place to stay. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. The food is very good. This is also a locals pub, servicing a small village, right by one of the best parts of Dartmoor. But this doesn't mean it gets too noisy, and it is certainly not unfriendly. They are very dog friendly too. But the rooms do not smell doggy, unlike some places. If you are visiting the Yelverton area, this is the hotel I would recommend.
The shower was very powerful (which was fantastic). However when we turned it on, it would literally explode water out all over the place, from the water pressure and the shower head cradle (this may need looking at). It would shoot water out towards you and out of the enclosure when first switched on. But it was a minor inconvenience... and to be honest highly comical watching my husband get attacked by it! 😄 But it was more than usable and the pressure was amazing.😍

Amazing facilities! There was even an outdoor dog shower! The room and bathroom was very spacious, bright and airy. In the room there was bottled water, tea and coffee and lovely cookies. Pub was just perfect to spend a chilled and relaxing evening. We didn’t hear any noise and slept through the night.
I wish the food was on par with the beautiful decor. The food is not bad at all just didn’t quite match the high standard of everything else! There was some mould around the bathroom windows which needs attention.

The Burrator Inn was more like a 4 Star hotel from the superbly appointed room to the amazing choice of Breakfasts to choose from, coupled with an excellent dining menu. location was only a mile from Burrator Reservoir , which itself is in the Dartmoor expanse, meaning no long drives to get onto the moors. All in all, a wonderful if only brief stay which we will definitely repeat
We do not think there is anything to add to make the stay any better! Four Star all round.

The Staff were really friendly and the breakfast was lovely, the room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. They left a air conditioning unit as was so hot and was much appreciated, there was milk in a fridge that you can help yourself to. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and I am looking forward to going back if I am in the area,
The only issue was the towel rail in the Bathroom was so hot and could of done with a thermostat, apart from that the stay was beautiful.

Location was perfect for our needs with easy access the Dartmoor. Breakfast was just to our liking with lots of choice We booked for 4 nights but ended up staying for 6. Staff were very friendly and had lots of banter with them Food was a little slow but they are not running a Mac Donald’s chain Bar area was comfortable. Everywhere was very clean
The smell of the complimentary hand soap lol

Big room, comfy bed, ensuite. Staff very good. Location just off the moors and easy to get into Plymouth.
Food generally good, some things should be a bit better. Had beer batter fish and chips - batter very crispy but too thick, it hid the taste of the fish. Mushy peas dry and chips could be home made. Breakfast was good, but if your menu says two eggs you should get two eggs. Also when you are paying £7 for some ‘Artisan’ bread one side of a slice shouldn’t be stale? These are just constructive points because it could be excellent with a bit more attention.
