The apartment is ideally situated to be able to walk in to York. We did not use our car once whilst we were there. Peter met us at the property and explained everything. He also provided us with the most generous welcome pack that even included wine and chocolates. Thank you so much Peter. The apartment was clean and comfortable; a real home from home, and the little garden was ideal to sit in and have drinks before going out for the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will happily recommend it to anyone who is visiting York.

This was one of the best holiday accommodations we have stayed at. There was adequate bedding, the beds were comfortable, and there was ample room for all of us, a family of four. The apartment was warm, but not too warm, or too cold. There was one nice bathroom with a bath and shower. I had several baths due to a painful neck problem, and there was plenty of hot water. The kitchen was equipped with everything, apart from a tumble dryer, though there was a washing machine, dish washer, and a good supply of wash and dish tablets. The owner very kindly supplied a selection of jams, butter pats, bread, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, and some high-quality biscuits. There was even a bottle of white wine left in the fridge for us. We thought this was very thoughtful, and welcoming. There were adequate plug sockets and a hairdryer in the dresser drawer. All in all, a home from home.

. Met by the host at stated time. The host took time to explain everything from tv remote to washing machine, heating etc. Attention to detail was evident throughout this spacious property with lots of little extras. Basic provisions bread milk butter tea coffee even a lovely bowl of sweet treats n biscuits.provided on arrival. Emergency contacts, local taxi services etc easy to hand which all added to a lovely relaxing weekend. Would definitely go back for another stay.

25 minute walk into York centre....wasn't a big issue just used taxis reasonably priced and 5 minutes to centre. One minor issue mattress on double bed may need turning as a bit soft on one side. Other than that single and twin room beds were very comfortable

Peter and Carol have thought of absolutely everything. The apartment was spotless with everything you could possibly need and more. From the warm welcome from Peter, when we arrived, to all the little extra touches, we were immediately made to feel at home in their beautiful apartment. 2 people in our family have mobility issues, this apartment was ideal for them as it was all on one level from the front door (there are 3 small steps up to the front door). It is in a lovely quiet area, with a view of the river from the living room. A nice easy walk and you are in the centre of York and there are shops, restaurants and pubs all nearby. It really is everything you could want for a stay in York and more.

There was a very good introduction in person to the property. Everything was explained very well. The kitchen was very well equipped and all the essentials were provided. The bathroom was spotless. The bed was really comfortable. The dining table was beautifully set out too. There is a ramp up to the property from the road at the side which provides wheelchair access. It was only a short walk to Monk Bar and Goodroomgate.

It was a little bit cold in the night. We didn't find the thermostat until the morning. It was in the kitchen. It was our oversight really.

The property had everything you could need and more. Peter the host welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. The property was very clean and catered for everything to ensure your stay was enjoyable.

The location of the property was amazing, within walking distance to the centre. Peter was an incredible host with a beautiful property which has everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. I would highly recommend this property

first impression a little decieving . what a lovley appartment thought we was going to be let down .but my word could not ask for anything .better. the location is good. sainsbury,s on door step. Peter was very imformative and helpfull. very nice guy. there was milk,bread, cerial ,butter jam pots buiscits, chocolate. only 1 thing letting down in kitchen no egg poacher not the end of the world . had a good week end aroud york . will be going back.

like i said just no egg poacher. (unless i have missed it). everything else very good

The apartment was beautifully presented by the host. Everything imaginable had been provided in advance ranging from a loaf of fresh bread to chocolates and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The warmth and generosity was absolutely incredible. The apartment is in a great location and only a short walk from the city centre.

The bath tub is very high and is a challenge to get into. to have a bath or a shower for people with walking difficulties.

The apartment is very well equipped and is within easy walking distance of York city centre. We were met by Peter on arrival and shown how everything worked, which was good. We also managed to park both of our cars in the apartment block car parking spaces.

With four adults staying, we felt an extra comfy chair would have been a good addition to the lounge as one of our party had to sit on a dining chair in the evening as there wasn’t really room on the sofa. Apart from that it was all good!

We were met by the very wonderful host Peter who was very informative about the accommodation, the area and things to see and do. The food supplies that were provided were not only very welcome, but more than enough and very much appreciated. The apartment was very spacious for the 5 of us and lovely to have a small outside rear garden area to have a drink in the early evening sun. The beds were comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Very quiet despite being near the main road. We didn't travel by car but there is a very useful car park to the front of the property provided. There were fans, extra sheets/duvets & blankets (if required) a few board games and tourist leaflets all provided and a pleasant change to have more than enough toilet roll. I would definitely stay there again.

The only thing we would suggest is a king size bed would have been a better option than the double and the front bedroom could do with a blackout blind as the early morning sun does shine straight through the window.
