This is the 2nd year we've stayed here for our anniversary. Complimentary happy hour and a great breakfast are really nice. The grounds are beautiful with lots of flowers and waterfalls. The pool area has lots of seating with umbrellas and cabanas. There are several restaurants and a Sprouts close by for those wanting to cook in their kitchenette. Highly recommended.

Nothing other than the really hot weather. Lol

Very cold pool, not relaxing at all!

I was very pretty. Especially around sun set. The room came with cooking equipment and a toaster. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and clean.

The room I stayed in had very minimal things I didn’t like but the biggest problem I had was the flickering light in the kitchen. I think it had a short. It would flicker or not turn on. That’s a fire hazard. I did wish the shower had a hand held shower head. I would recommend matching light bulb colors because all the lights didn’t matched in color. It’s not a big deal and it didn’t affect my stay but does make a difference in appearance and quantity.

I made a reservation for three people but when we went to the room we were given, we were surprised to see that there was only one bed prepared for two people. So we return to the reception and the young lady at the front desk quickly gave us an upgrade. Although her reaction was strange at first, since she didn't even apologize, in the end we had a great room, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a wonderful balcony from which we could see the pool. We really enjoyed the pool and garden ambiance, the breakfasts in this environment (although I think the breakfast would have to be much better), and had a wonderful time. We wish we could come back one day!

I didn't really like the breakfast. With the exception of the fruits, I didn't find anything I really liked. I think there should be different types of fresh breads, maybe ham and cheese, a good jam, and a good coffee.

The Sonesta Suites Scottsdale Gainey Ranch offered a fantastic stay with its beautiful surroundings and luxurious amenities. The spacious suites were well-appointed and provided all the comforts needed for a relaxing getaway. The pool area was a highlight, with plenty of seating and a serene atmosphere perfect for unwinding. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout our stay. Additionally, the location was ideal, with easy access to local attractions and dining options.

There was nothing we didn't like about the property; everything exceeded our expectations.

I don't usually take the time to write a review, but our five night stay exceeded our expectations. Full hot breakfast each day, with fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs, bacon, etc (each day a little different). Lots and lots of fresh Starbucks coffee each day! Happy hour with free craft beer and white and red wine was always a pleasure each day. The staff always cheerful and happy, I think the entire Scottsdale population is like that in fact. Location amazing, right next to a plaza with lots of restaurants (pub, sports bar, Thai restaurant, Mexican restaurant, Panera bread - we went to all those- plus a grocery store, and more restaurants we didn't go to). Pool chairs always available (never crowded). The landscaping of the grounds was terrific, lush green with flowers, trees, lovely grass area, lots of small tables around the garden and on the patio. On site small store for cans of beer, wine, small items, etc - very convenient. General Manager always walking around to see how things are going and to say 'hi' - a very friendly and caring feel to the place!

Key cards didn't always work, but they are in the process of replacing the system. A few more dishes in the kitchen would be good - our room had a set of two items of each thing (plates, glasses, etc), and maybe different sizes of glasses would be good - but not a huge deal at all. I'm sure I could have asked for more. Almost not even worth mentioning, considering all the great things about the place.

Breakfast was good, lots to choose from. We were expecting just muffins, juice, coffee but found out that the entire spread was available. Fruits, yogurt, granola, breads, bagels, cereals, eggs, sausage, tortilla shells and all the fixings, pancakes, French toast, bacon, coffee’s……very good and a great surprise Enjoyed he Hot Tub after hiking or running The workout facility was small but functional. Need a bar to hang from for full stretch The grounds were well kept The staff was great

Like I said above, the fitness room was small but functional. Having seen other cost options while we were in the Scottsdale area, the Sonesta Suites was a slightly higher price point but within a fair range.

The property was fantastic! The pool area was stunning, and the entire place felt like a peaceful oasis in the middle of Scottsdale. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, making it a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The young lady at the front desk stood out the most—she was incredibly courteous, professional, and went out of her way to assist us. Her hospitality truly made a difference in our experience.

Honestly, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.

We have stayed at this property for years (7+) it is always clean and the staff is very friendly. But….quality has drastically changed.

the beds have changed. they were so soft that neither my husband or I could sleep comfortably. The buffet breakfast has dramatically changed from a hot buffet breakfast to a very poorly executed continental. the bagels were extremely dry, toaster didn’t cook one side of bagel but burned the other. Only cereal offering was Cheerios. Sad. The evening reception has changed from the nice buffet offering once presented. This will be our last stay at Gainey suites Scottsdale. The bed quality and the quality of food offered (which I pay for in the resort fee) make Hyatt House or Hyatt Place Scottsdale a better option.

The staff were very helpful with any of our requests and we were able to change our room to one with a patio. The grounds were beautiful which made lazing by the pool a delight. Having a kitchenette was brilliant and we were even given recommendations on where to shop for food or where to go to eat.

You have to request a room clean (24 hours before day 4) and we did this 48 hours in advance but it didn't happen so was done on 5th day after I had been to reception to say it hadn't been done - not really a problem I suppose BUT what I didn't like was that we had to dispose of our own rubbish daily which I have never come across before !!!!
