The hotel was great, the staff were very friendly & helpful. The pools & kids water playground were nice. It was a bit rainy when we were there but my grandkids still loved it! We had a family/double room, it was ok, would have been nice if it was a bit larger but we really weren't in our room much. It was clean, housekeeping came in every 2nd day and made the beds, left fresh towels & took the garbage, left more coffee. The hotel is very convenient to go to Disneyland, we would go in the morning, come back to take a break then go back in the evening. We stayed for 10 days at the HoJo, the shower didn't spray water in 1 of our bathrooms, l let the front desk know & they fixed the issue while we were out. Would definitely stay here again

It would be nice to have a few more hooks to hang things in, especially when it rains. Maybe install hooks on the wall by the door.

The proximity to Disneyland is great! You can be at the gate in just 5 minutes. The rooms were surprisingly updated & clean—something I wasn’t really expecting. The staff was very welcoming and explained everything in detail at check-in! Great stay!

A little pricey for what you get, but you’re paying to be close to Disneyland. Heads up—there is a $25/night charge for parking as well.

Location and the rooms are pretty great. they were strict regarding the pool and cast away due to Covid but I actually like that. They took it seriously and I appreciate that.

having stayed there before, I didn’t like how they charged for Wi-Fi after three days. That’s silly. And now they charge for parking which they didn’t before as well.

I cannot say enough about this hotel! From the moment we checked in at the desk I was greeted by multiple staff with a smile and a hello. The guy who completed my check in process (I think his name was Logan?) he was super friendly and helpful.. pushed the cart with all my luggage.. he was great. The “mod mart” that’s located right on the first floor of building 1 was an AMAZING little store with literally everything you could imagine you would need for your trip.. laundry supplies, first aid stuff, medicine, snacks, drinks, A WIDE SELECTION OF DISNEY SOUVENIRS.. the store was seriously impressive!!! The entire property was well maintained and clean both outdoors and indoors. The family suite was perfect for us.. 2 bedroom 2 bathroom (bunk bed, couch bed, king bed) the rooms each had an Alexa .. TVs complete with streaming apps.. the room was clean, smelled fresh and was nice and cool inside which was a relief coming in from the California humidity! The water park for the little kids was perfect and the pool was perfect for the older ones. They are completely separate from each-other on the property which was nice because it helps cut down on the crowds in the area. Lifeguards were everywhere and were also friendly and helpful with towel(s). There is no breakfast offered on the property but you’re literally in the heart of Disneyland with SO MANY options within walking distance for breakfast lunch or dinner. I would most definitely recommend this property to anyone and can’t wait to stay here again!!! Keep up the good work HOJO ANAHEIM!!!!

The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was modern and clean (and Disney themed), the water park and pool was perfect for my young child, the customer service was top-notch, plenty of dining options nearby, and under a 10-minute walk from Disney (a very easy walk, at that,) the parking lot is only accessible if employees buzz you in, each building only allows registered guests in via key-card, the deposit is very low ($20 for our entire stay), they are great at offering good/cheap upgrade deals in-office when you check in, they give you discount coupon for Mimi’s Cafe at check in, VERY AFFORDABLE

The key-card scanners to get into the buildings didn’t work very well, there is a $25/night fee for parking, they only give you one wrist band per guest for the pool/water park and they will not replace it if lost, daily housekeeping is only available upon request, otherwise it is every 2 days

This property is a great location for Disneyland (8-10 min walk). The room was spacious and clean. The beds were super comfortable and the room was well equipped.

I wish the shop on-site had more selection for breakfast food. We got some cereal and milk but as our stay was short and we didn’t do a grocery shop, we would have appreciated more choice. The only complaint we had was that the pool closed for cleaning and no one could tell us when it would reopen. Also, kids have to vacate the pool for ten minutes every hour. I don’t fully understand why this is the policy. We had a short stay so found this a bit inconvenient if we arrived close to when they asked everyone to get out.

Howard Johnson Hotel is right across the street from Disneyland and less than a ten minute walk to the main gate. We were warmly greeted at check-in and our kiddo was given a balloon sword (they also create balloon animals & flowers.) The front guest upgraded our room at check-in and we ended up in the newly remodeled building overlooking the quiet garden pool. At night, we had the perfect view of the Disneyland fireworks from our balcony. The room was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated with a framed Mickey Mouse print. It reminded me of the Disneyland Hotel guest rooms. Our bathroom was newly remodeled, with two sinks and lots of light. I appreciated the larger shampoo & Shower gel containers in the shower/tub. The gardens/landscaping on the property are well maintained. They had just planted pink camellias on the walkway to the garden pool and our building. We also enjoyed having a hotel gift store on sight. it was the only place I could find postcards. Also, it was nice to buy a bottle of wine and goodies to enjoy in our room. Plus, the toys and apparel were reasonable. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to try the garden pool, hot tubs and kid water park area. We will stay at the Howard Johnson again next time we visit the Disneyland Resort.

all the amenities for kids and how close it was to Disneyland

I was extremely unhappy about having to be charged for parking as I already paid for my stay. no where was it advised about this when we booked. I was very upset

Great location, it’s so close to the Disneyland entry. It’s an easy 10min walk max. I really wanted a hotel that offered a room with a view of the fireworks. We have two young children and I wanted a back up option incase they couldn’t last that late in the park. The view did not disappoint, it looks straight towards the firework display and you have the perfect place to watch them. I therefore can highly recommend the renovated park view rooms in building one. Staff were lovely and splash park was a bonus, little ones loved it. If you’re looking for simple, clean, comfortable accommodation close to Disneyland it’s a great choice and a fraction of the cost of some neighbouring hotels. We would definitely consider returning to this hotel if we visit Disney again.

I loved the light the windows brought into the room and the architecture of the room. I would definitely want a second floor room again. The kids liked the water park and I of course loved seeing the kids have a good time.

I was surprised that you couldn't just pull up to the hotel. Some advance notice that it was a secured entry would have been nice. I drove around and then pulled off in McDonalds to call the hotel because I did not expect this and thought I needed an entry code. If this was posted in your purchase paperwork, it should be more prominent because I missed it.
