Amazing location with the beach front right outside. Also loved the yummy included breakfast options which are taken straight to our room at a specific time we got to choose from.

The lady at the front desk was initially a little rude. When we arrived at around 7:30PM the front desk had a note saying they will be back in 30 minutes so we went and had dinner. We came back around 8:20pm and almost missed our check in entirely as she was closing up reception to head home. Was shocked to think if we were any later we would have been stranded for the night. Closing check in early is one thing but not to ring a guest who hasn’t arrived yet is quite strange.

The location was wonderful. Our deluxe queen room (2 beds) had a "partial view of the ocean" and it was special to see a peek of the sea from our room. We were able to walk across the street directly to the boardwalk and the stairs to the moonstone beach which is a gem of a beach if you are a beachcomber for pebbles! The price of this room was the best of the hotels along the water and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Will stay again when in the area (and bring food for breakfast!).

The person who checked us in was a bit curt but not enough to offend. The breakfast was a disappointment. We had read reviews but still weren't prepared. You are provided a menu with three items (egg scramble, egg wrap, or yogurt parfait). No substitutes to the items (all pre-made) and only that one item delivered to your room (not complete breakfast). We all chose the yogurt which was a cup of some frozen blueberries, sweetened greek yogurt and a tablespoon of granola. This did not suffice as "breakfast" but gave us a little nutrition before we could find something more substantial.

We liked everything about this property: the location, accommodations, comfortable bed and clean room.

I was very disappointed to not have access to hot water. While there were 3 separate coffee urns, there was no hot water for tea and I do not drink coffee. Although I was able to heat some water for my tea with Keurig, it smelled of plastic and was not well suited for just making hot water. Since we stay either at the properties at least once a year, having a tea service for those of us who do not drink coffee would be a welcome change. IT used to be provided, and I do not see any reason to have it discontinued,

We were not very happy with one of the ladies at the front desk While we were waiting for check-in, the way she treated the family in front of us versus the way she talked to us, we felt like we were causing her a lot of inconvenience. Other than this, I have nothing to complain about our stay here.

location, super clean. the king room with patio and ocean view is a good value in my opinion vs other popular beach towns or higher end hotel chain etc.

not really,maybe a reminder that breakfast is ok based on its price (0) but also not the best free breakfast for similar room charges, only 3 options, no complaints as it is free, but consider it in your planning if breakfast is super critical to you. a nicer breakfast with additional charge may not be a bad idea :)

Easily located - parking was available. Beautiful view! Room was clean and well decorated. Bed is super comfy. The breakfast was delicious - sat at our table in our room and ate it watching the sea! Would have loved to have stayed another night if we could.

When we arrived just after 9pm - reception was closed and a note with my name was on the door telling us to go a few hotels down to check in. I totally understand this is probably due to understaffing - but a message with a heads up would have been nice as after 5 hours of driving the last thing you want to do is get back in the car.

The room was very pretty and there was an ocean view from the dining nook area (room 209). We could hear the surf. The staff was friendly, and accomodating. The breakfast was good and room delivery was available for several time slots. There was a table and two chairs for in-room dining. There were plenty of towels. Wi-fi was adequate. Generally, it was quiet.

Things the hotel could change: only two hooks and one ring in the bathroom for wet towels. Coffee maker didn't work. There were no instructions for operating the tv or the remote control, had to ask at the desk. A single reading lamp for two beds, the bulb was dim, and of the two the outlets at its base for plugging in chargers, only one worked. Couldnt find another outlet near the bed. The rest of these are just fyi things that we encountered, not deal breakers: there is plenty of parking but unless you find a place directly in front of the reception area you will be walking up or down hill. The room was very pretty but very small and there were no surface spaces to put things on except the dining table.

I always love coming to this property. it has always been one of our favorite spots.

I miss some of the old things. They used to give you homemade cookies at your door everyday. I really miss the waffles! They were soooo yummy. One more thing that I was a little concerned about is I stripped the bed down and put all near door along with trash cans. I like to make it easier for the housekeeping services and also make sure everything gets cleaned for the next guest. I had walked past the room and noticed the comforter was thrown on the bed. I can only hope it was a new comforter and not the same one.

This room was beautiful and the location wonderful! The bed was wonderful and very comfortable. The bath had all the amenities you could want or need. The room had shutters with windows you could open and a decent partial view of the ocean and beach. The beach was right across the street from the hotel. In the morning, breakfast was brought to your room at a time designated on an order form the night before. I did not have because I left very early but I thought that was a very nice touch. Location was a little north of Cambria and you could easily go see the local elephant seals and drive on up to Big Sur for the day. I will definitely stay there next time I am in the area.

Location, location, location! Priced comparable or better when compared to other properties in the immediate vicinity. The staff were helpful and friendly; readily would drop what they were doing to assist us with any needs. Room was clean with most amenities; microwave, mini refrigerator, nice room decor.

No pool, or hot tub, which would be difficult given the hotel is situated on a rather small site plot. The same breakfast burrito offered every morning as breakfast would have been okay if we had spent just one night here, but after the third morning, our palate was seeking something else.
