It’s affordable for a deluxe room with an ocean view. Very spacious with a more modern interior. It was easy to make a reservation, and you don’t get charged until you check in. You can also cancel your reservation free of charge, a few hours before your scheduled check-in. Checking in was easy. The front desk guy was very welcoming and informative. Explained things very well. Found our room without a problem, as per his instructions. There was a mini-fridge, a humongous television, a dining table big enough for 4 people, and 2 chairs. I also liked that the bathroom was clean and had enough towels for 4 people. I also liked the parking area. Plenty of spots!

I did not like that there was no electric kettle, no hair dryer, and ironing board. There also weren’t any shampoo /conditioner in the shower. These are basic, and should be made available for all customers.

Nice staff and the manager was helpful. Coffee is provided. Close to the beach and Hearst Castle. Close to the bus 15 line.Spacious and clean room. Comfortable bed.

Only convenient if you have a car. No tours, shuttles, or other transportation provided in case of not having a car. Uber or Lyft do not work in this area. I had to cancel a tour to Piedras Blancas (15 min driving distance) because there is not an alternative transportation rather than a car. The swimming pool was closed for cleaning.

has a bar but only wine and beer and no one there - the "restuarant" I would not recommend

You get what you pay for. Info and pictures are accurate. There is a restaurant pretty close which offers breakfast.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was nice and spacious. There was plenty parking and it was nice to have a dip in the pool. If you want a budget option in the area this place is great. There isn't much in San Simeon itself but it is right off Highway 1 and the hotel is really good value for money. We came to stay here as a last minute decision as my daughter is obsessed with zebra and we heard that there is a wild zebra herd in the area. We woke up early and saw 48 zebra right next to the hotel travelling in a herd with some cows and buffalo. The manager was happy to explain to us where we were most likely to see them and said that he'd call if they saw them from the hotel at any point.

Nothing. It was perfect for the reason we were staying there. If you want to see a wild herd of zebra in California, this is the place to be!!

The pool was nice and the staff as well; the beds r comfortable and the coffee was good and the water pressure in the shower was awesome.

The toilet in our room ran like the float was bad in it and the water pressure in the sink wasn't great. The shower curtains were kinda crappy because everytime someone took a shower a bunch of water would b on the floor even with the towel there to catch it, the towel would be sopping wet.

We like how close it is to Hearst Castle. We liked the close restaurants. We liked the clean, uncarpeted floors and the tall toilet. We also liked that we were allowed to check in earlier than 3:00.

We were surprised that there was no coffee maker in the room, but we stayed right across from the office and had no trouble getting a good cup of coffee promptly at 6:00 a.m. We were also surprised that there was no tissue box in the room.

excellent location close to everything!

there was not refrigerator, microwave or coffee pot in the room. Also many stairs to get to the rooms unless you walk from the accessible entrance all the way down the hall to rooms. Just made unpacking car and packing a bit difficult without rolling luggage rack. And even if you brought your own wagon there are still stairs midway thru hall.

The hotel was clean and the staff was amazing; super friendly and helpful with everything. The food in the adjacent restaurant was delicious as well. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the beach and a few minute drive to Hearst castle and elephant seal beach. You can't beat the price and the service. Will stay here again if we're ever back in the area

Only things that would have been nice to have, would have been a blow dryer and a refrigerator

We did not expect much from this motel since Motel 6, we had heard, can be very hit or miss. I think that the location of this facility really influences the type of people staying here and therefore the cleanness and overall level of service. We were happy with our stay.

There were some people talking really loudly during the night, almost screaming. I think more respect for all guests should be enforced :)
