It’s an old facility, but it’s well-maintained, making it comfortable. The check-in desk has two staff members working in shifts, and also key box making 24-hour check-in and check-out convenient. The rooms are relatively spacious, and the beds and bedding were clean and comfortable.

Although it’s a nearby town for visiting Yosemite National Park, it’s over an hour away. If you plan to stay for more than a day and want to tour the park, the distance can be challenging, so I recommend accommodations within the park or closer to it. There is a supermarket nearby, but the prices are high and the selection is limited.

The location was exceptional for our stay. We were close enough to Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove, which were our main destinations. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room has air conditioning, and essential amenities (mini fridge, microwave and coffee machine). Plenty of parking space. The view at the location is quite nice and my room was very quiet. Room is exactly as in the pictures.

The air conditioner is old and noisy. It is also positioned right under the window curtains, what causes it to blow the curtains all the time. Room decoration is a bit dated, yet it is still functional. Nonetheless, I’d recommend an upgrade, specially to the bathroom. I missed a filtered water fountain during my stay. The tap water didn’t taste very nice. There was some hair in the bathtub curtains. We were received by a not so nice young lady, but the other receptionist was quite pleasant. Another thing (which is pretty small) is the soap we were given. We had just one and it melted during the first use. I’d recommend getting a better soap or a bottle of shower gel.

The location was great for visiting Yosemite. The staff was really nice and gave me an update on the weather for visiting the national park nearby. The room was a great size for two people! There were two sets of ear plugs which in wasn’t expecting. Check in and check out were a breeze! The water pressure was great with really warm water!

The bed made noises but was comfortable. There were no make up wipes like there usually are at hotels. Not a big deal but just an observation.

The room was very comfortable, quiet, and clean. Walking distance to many restaurants. Very good value, especially mid-week in November. It was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave. Keep the fridge on a not-to-cold setting like 2 though because it froze my subway sandwich when I set it higher! The Wi-Fi was very good. The staff were very nice and helpful. Mariposa is a charming town and a great stop on the way to much more expensive lodging that is closer to Yosemite.

I needed a standard electrical outlet to charge my phone bedside but there were only two, one for the clock and one for the lamp. No big deal, I unplugged the clock, which had two USB-A ports but my phone does not charge with that. The only other thing is that since my purpose was to visit Yosemite, this location is about an hour and a quarter from the visitor center. It's a good way station but too far to serve as a base for the park. That's not the hotel's fault though.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, towels and bed linens were a good quality. The room was large and had a balcony. I appreciate that it had a 4 cup coffee maker, a fridge and a microwave. The location was excellent to walk to all the stores and restaurants in in Mariposa and was about a 1 hour drive to Yosemite National Park. (Longer if there was traffic...go early on a weekend) The hotel was VERY quiet. I couldn't hear any of my neighbors even though it was full every night. The pool area was clean. The air conditioner worked well.

The balcony was nice...but it does only overlook the parking lot and there was no table to place a drink. If I book here again will probably choose to save money by getting a different (no balcony) room. No screen on the sliding door. The bed was a little soft for my taste, but some people may prefer it. The toilet paper was a little "harsh" I went to the store and bought my own. The pool is very small, so if you are looking for a pool for kids to swim in, this may not be the place, but it was a great place to relax and read a book. The hot tub had no water in it in June. The fridge was warm when I checked in, but then kept freezing everything once it got cold.

- Closeness to downtown - Yart Bus stop for Yosemite national Park right outside the lodge - Helpful receptionist

- No filtered drinking water available. Only one ice machine at the property. Receptionist told us we can drink the sink water because it's directly from the well. I don't know how much to trust well water. - Dead flies in the bathroom - room lighting was hard to figure out. Multiple lamps all turned on in different ways. Please just add one tube light

Great location and lovely, helpful staff. Comfortable beds and working AC, all you need to head out to the Yosemite wilderness in shape and have a great time! Non negligible: you have several interesting food options in town, and can order breakfast to go in advance at the Happy Burger Diner up the street. Didn't get the chance to try out the pool.

The bathrooms are a bit oldschool but nothing to worry about. Would be nice to upgrade to actual handheld shower heads and "mitigator" taps (or whatever they're called in English - allowing you to finely adjust temperature and water pressure).

The location! Right at the central of Mariposa. The room is big and clean, so that's great. Overall, comfortable 2 nights at Mariposa Lodge. Would stay again.

They didn't have a kettle, so we couldn't boil water for instant noodles or tea. Also, the fridge didn't really work so our ice cream melted. Some of the lights were off so if they would replace the bulbs that would be great. Otherwise, all were good!

We were moving out of Mariposa and needed to stay two more days cleaning up the house, closing accounts, etc. I liked the fact that the motel is located right in the middle of town, and I had stayed there a couple of times in the 90's while visiting. Mainly the location is great.

The price seemed kind of high for a motel room, and I asked if they had a discount for locals. Nope. The parking lot was packed in all areas, Travelers and tourists everywhere, lots of overflowing trash cans from food and drink packaging. Hiking boots left out on the common walkway to trip over. Aspects of hostel life.

We stayed here for a night while visiting Yosemite NP. Overall, it was a decent stay for one night - there are several restaurants, grocery shops, and cafes nearby; the room was clean but had some chemical smells (probably due to cleaning products); there were plenty of parking spaces; it was quiet (you can hear some sounds from the parking lot, but we didn't hear any noise from other rooms); it is a dog-friendly lodge where you pay $50/night for a pet fee.

One thing we didn't really like was that the staff who helped with our check-in was not so friendly; when I asked some questions about the lodging fee, she showed an indifferent attitude. Yet, another staff who helped our check-out was very friendly.
