Loved this place. The staff does everything to make your stay comfortable! One of the most comfortable beds ever. Large room well and equipped . Nice cold breakfast to get your day started. Parking garage was great convenience. Short walk to beach. This walk is a steep hill but you can drive and hope for a parking space. The beach is breathtaking! They even had umbrellas, beach chairs and other beach items to use. The pool was nice after a day at the beach.. Note the pool is only 3-4.5 feet deep. Great plus is the robes they are heaven must give them a try!!! Laguna has a trolley that you can ride for free up and down the strip. Would definitely go back.

The air conditioner in room was louder than normal if you are a light sleeper. We had balcony on 2nd floor this is towards the very busy main road so it is loud at times .

Larry (think that was his name) on desk was amazingly helpful, funny, and charming. The building is old... it can't help that, it's part of its chabby chic charm... BUT it's spotlessly clean! It has more amenities than some 4* hotels! I mean bathrobes, shampoo AND conditioner! Lotion and even a flannel & make up remover!! Location is great, we thought we made a mistake being just out of town! But NO! Larry told us about the free trolly bus into and out of down. It's every half hour or so. Bed we had in the accessible room 105 waa really comfortable and the shower is suitable for roll in and they even provided a shower stool. It had a working fridge, microwave and coffee maker... It was great honestly try it

Really nothing to dislike

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking onsite was a plus...we were able to park our car that had a roof storage unit (Thule) on top. The breakfast and coffee in the lobby was good and made it easy for us to get an early start to the day without having to find a place to eat. We were so close to the ocean... just a few blocks across the street. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and the heater in the room worked very well. Unprecedented rain was in the forecast and the staff offered us umbrellas to use and also beach towels, in case we had the opportunity to use the beach. We easily walked down to Main beach (the gardens and landscaping were amazing at night and during the day) and then rode the free town trolley to the Ritz Carlton stop. From there we accessed the public beach and walked along the beach, boardwalk, and cliffs to Dana Point. We walked on the main road back to the Ritz and rode the trolley back to the hotel. We made it back before the downpour!

Our arrival during unprecedented rain storm. Unfortunately, the exterior drain pipe was in the wall next to the heater and must have had a hole in it, because when the rain started to come down heavily the water came into the room through the heater at about 5am. We were checking out that same morning so just put some towels down and told the front desk about it at checkout.

Cleanliness, near the beach, comfortable bedding

I loved everything except that the fridge dont cool enough, cant store perishable food as it spoils overnight due to warm fridge temp.AC was loud and making noise all night, might be defective already as it dont auto turn on and off even though switch is on auto. made the room really hot and had to keep getting up to turn on ac and get up again when it gets cold to turn off.

Our room was the best we have stayed in in the USA (we have stayed in many). It was spacious with a great bathroom, television and microwave as well as a variety of coffees and small fridge for food items. The room catches the winter sun which was beautiful in the afternoon and supplied solar heating for the evening (no need to us the heater). The hotel has the best of all worlds - a beautiful scenic lookout and beach to the West, mountain tracks to the East, shopping to the North and South. The staff at the hotel are the nicest we have come across - so down to earth, friendly and ready to help. This review may sound like we are friends but no, we are from Australia and are just really impressed and appreciative.

There was nothing that we did not like. Everything was the best, from check-in to the room, to the hotel generally, to the staff.

Michael cheerfully greeted us and made us feel very welcomed. Our room was on second floor - elevator available. Room was spacious and fit our family of 4 nicely. Spacious room - 2 queen beds. Large tv. Friendly and helpful staff. Location was great. Pool refreshing. One issue with blocked toilet was quickly fixed.

Only minor as it worked a treat, but the air conditioning unit was a bit loud. But blocked any outside noise so wasn’t an issue really.

My stay at Art Hotel was amazing ,the location was great ,2 minutes walk to the beach . The hotel also had toys for my children to play at the beach ,also umbrellas that I could borrow for the beach and towels as well . The staff was amazing ,Felipe cared about our stay and made sure we are as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was serve yourself, quick and easy for me and the kids . Overall we had a wonderful time and we will be back for sure.

The breakfast was a bit scant. Would have liked more fresh options. There was no fruit or eggs. Only one kind of bagel. Other fresh bread items like muffins or banana bread would have been nice. Went to a restaurant the next day. The location was alright. We had to drive or Uber to town. The trolleys did not go down the hill, only up, so it was not reliable to get to and from the center of town.

Just a few minutes drive to the heart of Laguna Main beach and restaurants .Across the street from Stop n Go market .Clean room ,linens , towels sundries ,free underground parking , elevator balcony view of the Ocean overlooking the pool loaner beach gear and free continental breakfast as well as all day coffee ,juices and yogurt

Location was within a mile of the baby shower we were attending, and near lots of restaurant and shopping.

The automatic lights in the bathroom were not working appropriately, and not a good thing when going in there in the middle of the night to a bright light which disturbs my roommates! Also, walls were very thin and neighbors were quite noisy!
