The check-in procedure was seamless. The temperature control was convenient. The hotel décor felt modern. The downstairs cafe was surprisingly affordable and great quality in comparison to other hotels' restaurants. Overall, the entire stay felt true to a 3-star hotel experience; it felt as though the staff were offering the best possible experience with the existing hotel facilities.
Some of the light fixtures in the room didn't work. There were very minor stains on some of the beddings. The need to pay for in-room amenities like water bottles seemed to contradict the fact that the downstairs convenience store offered free temperature-controlled water. The wifi connection was hit-or-miss. The need to use the neighboring parking structure when valet parking is full leads to uncertainty when estimating how much parking will cost for the duration of the stay.

Location and the safeness of the area. Restaurants to meet anyone's culinary desires! Great service as well.
Using a third party booking tool this is the third time that I have arrived at the hotel and learned that there is a security deposit and it is mandatory. This time it was an additional $250!

Very friendly and helpful staff in the reception. Located in the very heart of Little Tokyo and quite close to downtown LA. 10 minutes walk to nearest Metro but i don´t recommend anyone to use the horrible metro in LA. 15 minutes of easy walking to the Union station
This is not the hotels fault but what is going on in LA? Dirty, smell of marijuana and piss everywhere and and a lot of drugusers all around in the city including the tourist areas and especially near the walk of fame (not so much around little Tokyo though). How can this be accepted? Clean up and try to offer some help to all this homeless people please

A shower toilette, the so-called "Washlet," was available. I felt like I had escaped the stone age (in Las Vegas). The room size was adequate for a single traveler. A cover of a power socket on the desk did not open, but a wall socket was available in front of the desk. That helped me so much. Refrig. and in-room safe were excellent equipment for a business traveler.
Lighting around the entrance of the room was insufficient. If there was a light over the coat hanger area, I could set my suitcase to work with it; however, it was too dark to do something without lights.

We wanted to go to Japan town and eat Japanese food, noodles, etc. Very nice hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful; impeccably clean rooms with great beds! Safe area, parking on premises very safe and convenient at a reasonable rate (considering the rates in Los Angeles). Very close to everything in old Los Angeles, Central Station, Chinatown, etc. It is a great place to go for a weekend and have a 'time-out' as a couple. Quiet place and peaceful meals in friendly places in Los Angeles.... no homeless tents was a plus!!!
Everything was fine, no complaints!

Our room was pristinely clean & everything in good working order. Bravo to their housekeeping & maintenance, back of house staff.
There was zero hotel information offered at check-in. I mean nothing. Not even what I would consider essential information like where is the ice machine & what time is checkout. As a hotel manager myself, I was really surprised by this. There was also no such information in the room that I could find. I ended up asking the bell desk all of my questions. The bellman were warm and welcoming. The FD hosts were distant and aloof. Front of house staff leave much to be desired.

I was very pleased with my stay at Miyako Hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly (even remembered my name the next day). I was early for check in and they allowed me to check in as soon as the room was ready. The room was clean and had all the necessities needed. The hotel, while not in the greatest of locations, was in walking distance to a lot of the local spots. I did not feel unsafe at any time (although that could be because I am from southern California!)
The price for valet was significantly cheaper than most hotels in the area, but I do not like having to pay for parking when I am already being charged so many other fees when staying at a hotel.

the room was good sized; the amenities were really very welcoming. the internal cafe was really wonderful- such good food and the service was quite nice. the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of outlets. the floor was so quiet and not even a whiff of smoke anywhere. so close to restaurants and Little Tokyo shops snd the market was so close by. the refrigerator is a little small but love the green tea and earl gray tea choices in the room. the bathroom bidet was truly a treasured amenity as was the Bath and body works toiletries. towels were light and fluffy. housekeeping was wonderful and prompt and the room was spotless and was so clean but never smelled clean (no odors of disinfectant. all if the staff wear masks and there is always a sense of warmth and genuine customer service. by the second day they knew me by name and preferences!
not enough parking spaces and although the little Tokyo mall parking was right nearby and a better deal at 30 dollars a night my credit card was charged five times while pending and finally rectified for the single night use. the staff at the front desk learned of my concern and found a spot in the valet parking! we felt secure and safe

Location couldn’t be beat. It was right in Little Tokyo & we loved the convenience of being able to walk anywhere we wanted to explore, but still have a room (& bathroom) to get back to. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean & the hotel felt clean and tidy.
The pillows were all pretty bad & the beds were uncomfortable. We were out of not just a few of the bathroom items, but almost all of them (hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash) which was frustrating when you were already mid shower. If it wasn’t so late I’m sure we could have talked to somebody at the front desk & they would have corrected the issue, but it was something that was an inconvenience for us. Parking was a challenge to unload/find parking at the little Tokyo mall. As of 6/23 it was about $30 for our overnight stay.

Everyone was very nice and the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location was very convenient and I felt very safe in the Little Tokyo neighborhood. When I first arrived in my room, the battery in the smoke detector was dead and it was beeping. I called down to the front desk and they immediately sent up a member of the maintenance staff to fix it. He was very nice and we chatted about the city while he fixed the issue. The rest of my stay was without issue.
There was nothing negative to say about my stay.
