The Staff: Melanie was Great, friendly, courteous, organized. The lobby clean and decorated nicely with blue tones & ocean theme, felt inviting and comfy. This is our 2nd time to stay here. The room good size, bathroom clean, bed comfy, view was Awesome thru window, mini fridge, micro & TV worked Good! The parking, plenty of it and some covered. Even tho The Continental breakfast is small, it was tasty. Loved the location of hotel, convenient walk to yummy restaurants, bakery, shops, Nature Path & Beach. The must do is to walk on the path toward the Morro Rock (a Volcano plug), it has beautiful, flowers, nature (sea otters, habitat birds, squirrels, etc), lovely waves crashing on rocks in front of Morro Rock. Before you get to the Rock, the adult Sea Otters are resting in the water among sea weed, benches there so you can watch & take photos. However, signage reminding folks to Please give the Otters their space and not approach them, just watch from afar! The other side of Rock is a nice beach to hang out (sun bathers, surfers & fisherman). Love this little town, We'll definitely be back to stay at least 2 or more days at the Blue Sail Inn!

Had a little mix- up on room upon check in by another staff but it was quickly corrected. The room overall is Great but since our room on the end, I like to open window for fresh air and hear ocean & nature, however when you have window open for rooms on the end, in the morning we heard the cars passing by, construction work, trash truck, etc. Ideal would be room more in middle of building across the street from the main check in office.

I know Morro Bay very well and chose this place on purpose. Including knowing it was close to Dorns .. one if our favorite places . There was a relatively new employee who is doing a great job .. I have been in the Hotel and Hospitality industry for 40+ years.. I requested an upgrade which was a fair price and myself and my sons enjoyed the balcony.. you ought to keep her .. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name.. thank you for the stay! Breakfast was a nice touch!

We were happy.. especially after having had a bad stay at one of my favorite properties in Pismo .. I’ve known the Owner personally 40 years and cannot believe they know what’s happening there.

Very friendly staff. Ample parking . Lift for easy access with cases . Clean, big rooms . Great location 2 mins from the front . Breakfast was simple and preordered the night before - a basic juice and scone/ cereal bar. Cloudy on the days we stayed here - would definitely recommend Dorn’s for an evening meal on the front and a trip to the cinema 10 minute walk up the road - loved the quaint auditorium with friendly staff . Great location to spot the seals and the many birds - petrol station not far too .

Blue Sail Inn is located 2 blocks from the Bay. Easy walk down to the bay and an uphill walk back (not strenuous). The room was spacious, quite and clean. They offer in room coffee and a small refrigerator that stays cold. They also offer a morning "snack" that you can pick a few items from daily. But there are numerous restaurants available within walking distance.

Everything was excellent. There is ample parking. Most attractions are within walking distance.

I liked that everything in our room worked. Good TV and picture, fast Internet, water so soft it was like bathing in rain water feeling silky smooth on the skin, and our bed was comfortable. We stayed in the east building on the second floor. Being a wooden building, heavy footed occupants can be heard trudging overhead on the third floor. The hotel is a very short distance to the Embarcadero, perfect for walking to shops and restaurants or up to main street shops.

If I knew ahead of time, we were given a room next to the elevator shaft and the elevator noise whenever someone used it, I would have asked for a different room. It was our first visit to the Blue Sail Inn, so perhaps the room is the initiation for all new guests.

Location was fantastic for our needs. Good shower. Room was clean and we had all we needed during our stay.

Did not like that the room was not serviced during our stay. Having clean towels and the bed made each day was greatly missed but it was not worth the trouble of going to the office. It is one of the niceties that makes me really feel like I'm on vacation. I only got a fresh hand towel and washcloth during our 4 night stay. Information in the room or instruction at check in on about how to operate the fireplace. It was so dark in the corner where it was located we could not find any controls. We would have liked to turn it on.

Quick and easy check-in with all details provided by a very friendly staff. She also has advised where to eat dinner, how to go to the beach and where to watch the sunset. Not the newest property but well maintained and all services are available: Ice machine, laundry, vending machine etc. Overall lovely but slightly overpriced.

The breakfast box was a bit minimalistic. The bakery items were very dry and not of good taste. Room for improvement here for sure.

I always stay at the blue sail Inn when I go to Morro Bay. Everybody there is always very accommodating and very nice. This trip I wanted to change rooms and everything was accommodated for me.

Honestly there's nothing that I can say I don't like that is why I always always go back there

The room was very comfortable and a good size. They provided make up wipes in single bags which was a great touch. Free parking available on first come first serve.

The room had tea bags but no tea making facilities. We tried to boil water through the coffee maker a few times but it didn't work it tasted like coffee. There was a small breakfast bag included which was a lovely touch but including breakfast would be better. No cribs available - we knew this before we came however it would be great if there was one available for renting.

location was excellent, we had a great view . room was very clean, staff was extremely friendly . Breakfast was a plus, little to go sacks with your choice of different little items. everything was perfect ! ..The staff was the best part. She made everything very easy and comfortable.

There was NOTHING to dislike. . I only would love for the rooms to be more in my price range so I could stay at Blue Sail Inn more often .
