The Hotel: location is perfect, as it's a simple 1-2 minute walk to the shops/restaurants & about a 30-45 minute walk to the state park/beach. The view from the hotel is amazing during the day. The staff was very friendly and even called to check in on me when I was running late. I loved the fireplace in the room. It was so cozy, and perfectly warmed up warmed up the room during my chilly fall stay. The town: The town is just beautiful and everyone was friendly. It's very walkable, but there is lots of free parking if you prefer to drive around. There are many antique shops and cute stores to find unique treasures to bring home. It's a good place for all ages, but most places close early so it might not be for you, if you're looking for something with more of a nightlife. The food was excellent everywhere I went. In particular loved the French Dips at Haufbrau, the acai bowls at Goddess Goods, and the breakfast sandwich at Buttercup Cafe. My friends went to Kickers and said it was really good as well. If you are vegan, I saw several vegan restaurants, but I didn't have the chance to try them.

Almost everything closes at 8pm or earlier. It is very dark at night, so it was a bit scary driving at night.

Room was updated and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Property was very quiet. Loved the latte machine in the lobby. Room had a view of the rock which was lovely. The Fireplace in the room was a nice bonus as well.

The TV in our room was not working which wasn't a huge deal. The staff did try to fix it but still we were unable to use. Loved the latte machine in the lobby but would have loved some way to have tea or coffee in the room as the lobby doesn't open til 7:00am. There was one small window looking out over the sidewalk which did not have a window covering on it.

Amazing customer service and Beautiful location with view of the rock. We were there for my 40th Birthday in August and they even had a Birthday card for me. We would definitley stay again.

The only negative was that the in room fireplace did not seem to work and the window coverings do not totally block the windows from light or the ability to see into the room as you walk by. There is also not an elevator so you have to carry luggage up stairs, but that is not at all a deal breaker for me.

Location is excellent. Walking distance to the water, restaurants, and shops and short driving distance to the beach. One of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. Extra friendly staff. They have us extra blankets when needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Morro Bay.

Wish there was some breakfast options, but the morning coffee bar was a nice touch.

I honestly loved this hotel . Adorable on the outside . Location is absolutely PERFECT. Girl who checked us in was super sweet and informative. We lived everything. Not sure why there is bad records of this property. Glad I went on my gut and booked anyways .

Just about everything. It was safe, clean, well managed and lovely rooms.

Literally the only note I have is that when you take a shower the bathroom just gets musky since there’s no real window in there but there is a fan.

Perfect location for restaurants and shopping. Easy parking & super friendly staff.

Unfortunately, we were there at the same time as players in a little league tournament. There was a lot of noise & the soundproofing is not what you would find in a more modern building. Still, I would definitely stay here again (hopefully with better timing).

Excellent location, easy walking to the Embarcadero and the town center. My room was spacious and the bed comfortable, and the room had an electric fireplace that supplied sufficient heat. the staff is friendly and helpful - even though there is no daily cleaning staff made a point of asking if anything was needed and supplying it right away.

except for the bed the room is not comfortably furnished - specifically there was no comfortable place to sit; there were two small molded plastic chairs, with small cushions, next to a table.

Great view of the ocean. Was perfect for our one year anniversary.

Close to the shops, restaurants and ocean. We even made our way to elephant beach which you can view live on their website and we visited Hearst castle. It was a perfect dot for my husband and myself. We miss it already.

The check in and check out was easy. The office personnel and housekeeping were friendly and accommodating. Everything worked well in the room. The location was great because stores and restaurants were within walking distance. I would book the hotel again.
