We stayed at the Trestles suite and for that price it was honestly great. It has two double big beds (one of the top of each other), that are spacious and very comfortable, and a double sofa bed. Kitchen and restrooms were clean and equipped with oven and fridge (cutlery and cooking materials had to be taken from the common kitchen though). We communicated with the staff by email, and they were responsive and very accommodating. In fact they let us postpone the trip because of a storm at no extra cost, and also tolerated a late checkout. Thanks!

There is no much ventilation in the room because the windows cannot be open as they are full glass facing the street. But other than that its really worth the price. The only down side are the common hostel facilities (common restrooms and kitchen). They could use a cleanup, its also a bit smelly, but we did not use them, so if you stay at the suite should be fine.

The place is very artistic and full of creativity. Great view while playing pool and guitar early morning. Full kitchen with mini half pipe for SK8ting, unbelievable, like home away from home… This place is Dope!!! Rachel and Chris are excellent hosts. I’m definitely going to stay here again. Awesome job Guyz…

Everything… From the minute I arrived, to the minute I went back to work, it was like a dream. Who ever thought of this idea was on to something great for everyone.

the street art was fabulous. it was in a good location. free street parking.

I feel like the room was just way too hot especially after showering. and the private toilet situation was tough. I’m 5’9” and it was way too high so they need to have like a step stool next to the toilet so you can be sat properly on it to do your business lol but besides that everything was great and the public bathroom was clean to use so that solved the issue in the room

We stayed in a private room which was very clean and the bed nice and comfortable. The room had everything we needed for a one night stay for a good price.

There were some sounds from the hallway of other doors opening and closing which could obviously not be avoided. Other guests were respectful though.

The room that I stayed in faced the freeway and it sounds like the cars were driving right through my bedroom. I fell asleep so I don't mind but it might not bother another person. Another thing is the bathrooms were across the hall and I believe that night I was the only person staying there and I'm traveling alone so it was quite frightening for me to have to leave my room lock it up behind me and then go to the bathroom and then have to come back out unlock my room and go back in. It was a little bit scary.

San Clemente was my hometown for many years. It’s hard to put into words how much I love coming to House of Trestles. My go to place for relaxation and comfort. I can choose so many options. Surf, read, ebikes w/racks yoga family style dinners or keep to myself and enjoy the peace I get when I’m here

Sometimes parking can be a challenge if you’re the last one in for the night. No room for complaints.

The unique area and environment, and the people that we met there as well as the staff.

The bathroom and the floors could be cleaner.

I love pulling up to the property and catching that laid back vibe. Leaving all nonsense back home in the desert. Love the artwork~never the same. Really comfy bed. And the Rainbow Room was amazing. Love the soft sheets and woven blanket. You should sell them with House of Trestles embroidered. See you again soon.

I’m from Texas and this place gave a true California experience and vibe. The location was perfect. The staff was super friendly. it is one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed. Very unique!

There was no hot water to shower and not very much privacy, but this place was still awesome!

I love the different people that i meet and have become friends with from all over the world while staying here. It just have a laid back place with a homie feel to it. It feel like your just one big surfing family here which is amazing!!.
