Due to an overbooking per Booking.com, the franchisee went well, well, well above and beyond to ensure that I had a place to stay that night. It was by far the kindest thing that has ever happened to me. 98% of places would tell you to move on. This was not the case here, and I cannot thank the individual enough for what she did. This place is an absolute gem, and I am so very thankful after a long day of traveling.

Everything was fine.

In room coffee, microwave, and mini fridge. Great view (from the third floor) of the ocean. Clean room, nice shower, Not fancy, but comfortable for an overnight stay. Close to San Clemente State Beach, where our group was camping.The room was clean and comfortable to sleep in.

Close to the freeway, and you could hear traffic. I didn't see an exercise room, pool, or jacuzzi.

Whirlpool plus shower in the bathroom, patio with a view of the ocean, king-size bed was very comfortable, table & chairs, sofabed, refrigerator, coffeemaker, a place to put your laptop (& securely lock it up) we're all nice too.

The website directions for parking was a little confusing. They have a soda & ice machine on the ground floor outside by the lobby but an ice machine on each floor would be a little more convenient.

The staff was super kind, I forgot some packages there during my stay and they were very helpful in sending them back to me. The room was huge and very complete with a desk. It's close to the beach and to other cities where it is more expensive to stay like Dana Point or Laguna Beach. San Clemente has a beautiful beach too for surfing.

No breakfast provided due to covid, if restaurants are open, I dont see why a hotel wouldnt be able to serve breakfast, especially when it was included in the Booking.com ad. Also, no drinking water.

Always have enjoyed staying there the last 10yrs. Easy access to all.the little shops downtown and great good. There's something for everyone on San Clemente they are a friendly city with lots of style. If it didn't cost so much to live there I would move tomorrow.

I stayed one night at the Travelodge in May 2021. I chose it because of its proximity to the Camp Pendleton north gate, since I was picking up my son. The staff at the hotel is just amazing. So very nice and helpful! I needed to change my reservation at the last minute, and called the hotel to confirm it was possible. The gentleman I spoke to was so sweet - he gave me all the information I needed, including advice on the best/fastest way to contact booking.com for the change. The lady at the front desk when I checked in (after a very long, stressful drive) was wonderful. So nice and efficient. I was relaxing in my room in about 10 minutes. There was a minor issue with the television but someone was there to fix it within minutes of my calling the desk. The room was clean and comfortable. Since I was staying alone, I didn't need much - just a place to crash for the night. The room was delightful and cosy. The queen bed was comfortable. There was a small table that was perfect for me to set up my laptop and do some work, and later for my son and I to share a fast food dinner. The room had a refrigerator and safe. The room also had a very nice balcony with seating. Because it was at the back of the hotel, it faced a lovely golf course. During the evening, I turned off the room's air conditioning and opened the patio door. It was lovely and cool and quiet. I expect to travel to San Clemente a few more times this year, and the Travelodge is now my hotel-of-choice there.

I wish there had been a coffee maker in the room

We thought the room was in great condition. We have stayed at other Travel Lodges in the past and the rooms were less favorable than this one. The personnel were very friendly and accommodating. Went the extra step to make sure we were taken care of.

The price, $187.00 with tax. Our daughter had made the reservations and used an on line booking service. We forgot to tell her we were Wyndham members. The desk person did upgrade us to a larger two bed room and said if our daughter had called direct to the hotel. They would have given a discounted rate. We did appreciate the upgrade. The gesture made us feel good and we will stay there next time have to stay over night in San Clemente.

It was great! Easy check in and KIND staff :) Room was clean and big - very nice!

Could use more blankets/pillows on bed

#1 - The Wonderful lady behind the counter is an Angel! Because of her kindness and courteous customer service, we will stay again to support her very caring attitude for us even late at night. The room was more than expected for the area, Next to the 5 Fry and surprisingly quiet inside the room. Spacious with a balcony over looking a golf course - Thank You, Ma'am for your KIndness!

The Location... thought t was closer to the beach... Not enough restaurants near by.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Loved having coffee on the balcony in the morning.

The water reservoir in the coffee pot could use some attention. It wasn't dirty but could use a wipe out.
