We are a couple travelling with our 15 year old son. We booked a room with 2 Queen/double beds and the room was very spacious. Our room had TV with hundreds of channels, a fridge, coffee making facilities, an en-suite bathroom and everything you would expect and need for a 5 night stay. Parking is right outside the property but we didn't have a car. We found the room extremely good value for the money and considering the location and time of year (height of summer). Within a short few minutes walk is a street with a choice of bars, restaurants and cafes, yet the hotel is quiet at night and you can not hear street noise. We loved the "Mel's Diner" next door and ate there 4 times! Also, a convenience shop/liquor store over the road for day to day needs. We used taxi's and public buses to get around SF and found the hotel was well located for other parts of the city. Buses stop outside the hotel on some routes, Lombard Street is a one minute walk and has even more buses and many more services operate within a 10 minute walk. From the hotel, we got buses to the Golden Gate bridge, Golden Gate Park, Chinatown and so on. We walked to Fishermans Wharf in approx 40 minutes. A taxi to North beach was $10 - $15 depending on time of day/night. Overall, we couldn't fault the location and preferred it to our previous visit to SF when we stayed in North Beach. Our room was cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis, which was especially nice after a long day sight seeing. We would definitely stay here again if we visited SF in future, which I hope we do.

My family stayed here and we like it so much. the room is clean, very comfy bed, washroom is small but it's alright. easy access/walking distance to the beach, the staff is talkative and friendly. overall rate is SUPERB! will definitely come stay here next time. highly recommended to all.

Comfortable beds, great location, coffee, refrigerator and a microwave in the room with new coffee every day. Wifi was good, only a few little hickups during the week. Rooms were serviced daily with made beds and fresh towels. We didn't have a car during our stay, but the hotel offers parking spaces for visitors for free ( limited and first come base ).

Street sounds can wake you up easily, especially if the fire department ( located next to the hotel ) is called out with sirens on. Part of the charm of a city too though :) Would have loved a more subtle light near the bed, all lights in the room are very bright.

Good location & decent value for money in San Francisco. Shower was also good. Easy check in/check out process. Lots of nearby places to eat/drink & well located for buses. Room was also cleaned daily which was good. Laundromat located nearby was also handy.

A lot of outside noise during the night/early morning that appeared to be from other guests staying, did not really get a good nights sleep over the 4 nights we stayed-appreciate the motel design makes this harder to manage but I feel something could be done at check-in to remind people about noise. Room could use a freshen up-walls etc pretty damaged & needed painting. Room also didn’t have anyplace to hang/store clothes which seemed a bit odd given their was a gap at the side of the sink area that could easily have housed a clothes rail/shelves etc.

This place is amazing! Seriously, when you open the door to your room, it was pleasantly shocking! Nice bed, furniture... The bathroom, the shower has a rain sprout, air con works very well, huge television.... The lady at the front desk was so damn nice I just wanted to give her huge hug (no offense but she was extremely attractive!)! She was honest with me about occurrences in the city - I appreciate that! When I travel to San fran, this is my place to stay. There is a restaurant about 100 meters down the street.

The only problem I had was operating the tv. The owner needs to get a cable service... Not a big deal and the front desk guy apologized for not coming up as he got busy when I called and I had an event to attend when he tried. He apologized the next morning as I was leaving and I appreciated that!!!

Manny was super friendly and worked to accommodate several special requests I made. He was professional and open-hearted while also very, very kind. I will definitely look to staying here next time I need to be overnight in S.F.

Parking and storage of luggage can be tricky in the city but even with both of these matters the staff went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. Parking is limited but it's the Marina District in SF so they absolutely did the best they could and I was happy about all of it.

Our stay was wonderful here - the room was newly renovated so the facilities were gorgeous and modern.beautigul area in the Marina District, loveliest people around who were so helpful. Space for all our luggage. The shower was huge and the bed was very comfortable. One of the few hotels/motels that had free parking. The administration staff were lovely and incredibly helpful, advising us on how best to get around SF from the motel and keep our car safe (a concern wherever you are in SF and with her advice, we never had an issue.) Very close to lots of gorgeous eateries, inc. Easy walking distance to the famous Mel's Drive-in. Easy to get public transport and easy to get to lots of places to see and things to do. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!

Nothing! We loved it!

We came pretty late to SF and there was no empty parking slots at the hotel anymore. The owner was really nice and allowed us to park for the night at the place where you are not supposed to park, if we would repark early in the morning (which we did and we really apprecciate that we did not have to drive around so late to find some parking slot and hope that our car will stay safe overnight :) ) Room is confy, very big TV, clean and nice bath. The shower is really nice, with very good water pressure. We were exploring SF mostly by foot, that is why the location was perfect for it. It is not easy to find a good and not super expensive hotel in SF but this one worked really good for us. I would stay here again!

Lovely and safe neighborhood, there are a lot of cool restaurants and wineries nearby (walking distance). Central position to visit the city and to take public transportation. Clean and spacious room. Free breakfast with pastries and coffee or tea. The parking is free (we left the car there for all our stay - public transportation in SF is great!).
